My car had a check engine light on in Oct 2021 took my car to Auto tech shop they seemed like a quality shop. I had already had code checked it was Air MassFlow sensor which they told me was fine. Auto tech told me that there where also 02 sensor out of the two the front 02 sensor was a fault code. They wanted to have me spend over a thousand dollars on tuneup to first find the problem which I thought was strange. I could not afford this. So they replaced the first 02 sensor I had asked the service advisor *********************** if the codes were cleared yes. I drove out the gate and the check engine light came on. So I was told by the tech the first 02 sensor the car did not like it. So they assured me they would order the second 02 sensor call me when it was in. I never received a call I had to call them and wait for part to arrive in a couple more days. Received call that my 02 sensor was in. I drive into the shop they replaced the 02 sensor free install. Upon driving home check engine light came on again this happened 3 separate trips upon getting close to ************ the light will come on again and again and again. Finally disgusted they had me drive in one last time where the owner of the shop worked on my car for four hours I sat there and waited. Finally telling me that it would cycle through and shut itself off the check engine light which never happened. All I know is I paid a lot of money for them to do nothing meanwhile last week I took my car into the shop into Olympia they ran a test and found the same test that auto tech performed showed a leak in the hose from the intercooler hose to the turbo charger had a crack allowing air into the system my check engine light has finally been fixed correctly. I feel that I have been scammed taken for the money no one ever even apologize to me or called me back from auto tech. That check engine light has been on October 2021 this vehicle has been maintained by the previous owner at all scheduled service at dealership

1st I would like to apologize for the poor experience you had at our shop. I Understand that no matter the details you feel taken advantage of and that in never our intentions. I did do some digging into your visits into our shop, and as I looked over tech's notes, I see a few communication errors or misunderstandings. Tech reported that the O2 sensor was failing electrically, while testing sensor the Circuit it would go "OPEN" Replacing this sensor was 'TO START" since it was not performing as expected.  Tech recommended a tune up based on his test drive, as he test drove the vehicle, he experienced an intermittent miss fire and for that a tune up was recommended. I am not sure how this was presented but I am guessing not very clearly. Generally, anytime we have check engine light concerns we prefer vehicle be left with us so in the event like this we can be sure vehicle leaves corrected. I am not sure if we did not have any loaner vehicles available? it's been my experience anytime we try and do this kind of work while a customer wait lends itself to a less then desirable experience. I am the owner and I have not worked on vehicles in the shop personally in some time so not sure how I GOT INVOLVED LOL. I am glad the issue is resolved for you. I am going to send you the money for the repair you paid to get it fixed, I hope that helps ease some of this frustration. Had I been aware of this myself before we got here, I would have done the same thing. At the end of the day, I want whoever does business with our shops to feel they are taken care of. Thank you for making me aware of this so we can continue to train and grow from situations like this.
