On February 1, 2024 I contacted American appliance service. Suspiciously, they were available to come out for an estimate immediately. The technician estimated that he would have to remove and replace the drum bearings and belts . Upon Contacting The manufacture of the dryer, which is ******** corporation, they told me that the parts are readily available. I contacted Alpine appliance for another estimate. They also confirmed that the parts were readily available and that they have never run into a situation when the when a drum rebuild was necessary, they said the bearings and belts might be in need of repair. I also might need either or a pair or replacement of the moisture sensor. Ive repeatedly called American appliance service to find out about the availability of the parts and and they say they are delayed due to shipping now they dont even answer their phone

American Appliance sent out their technician to my house, the repair was for the dryer, the technician the guy's name is ********** believe,he did some messing around in there ended up leaving screws and parts on the floor behind the dryer when he left but while he was here he asked if he could look at the dryer to make an assessment of what parts that are going to be needed. So he disassembled it about ************************************************************************************************ a week and he would need 325 cash for a deposit for the service and part order but that he couldn't accept check or credit card he had to have cash he proceeded to give me this long sob story about how his boss is a tyrant of some sort I don't know it was all so convoluted but that he needed cash because his boss doesn't pay him on time and so that I had needed to give him cash so that he could get home today. I wasn't sure that I totally believed him but I went ahead and went down to the *** machine and go the 325 in cash out. He asked me not to tell his boss about paying him in cash only after I had already given him the cash.In the meantime he had asked to use my restroom which I found very weird for a repairman to use the customer's restroom but what am I going to say right, so he was in there for like 20 minutes and I thought oh my God is he crapping in my bathroom it wasn't until after he left and I went into my bathroom to find a needle on the floor and there was ******** of blood all over the mirror and counter which can only lead to one thing that he was in there using and he did seem Spacey, and his words were real slow to come out and he had a glazed look over his eyes, the last half of his visit I think I just paid an attic to go get more drugs with the cash I gave him. I don't want them to come back I'm just going to write off the $325 to a ****** learned. you would be very wise to be careful about ordering any service from this company.

I am having issues with my dryer and I needed to hire a contractor to come and fix the issue. I did a ****** search for companies that can service ** appliances, called a number that came up at the top of the list and was routed to American Appliance Services. The technician, **** answered the phone and showed up to my house within the hour. He mentioned that the issue I was having with the loud noise and flow sense error could be easily fixed. The charge would be $435. He collected half the charge now and would collect the second half tomorrow when he came back to fix the issue. He mentioned that he had to order a part and would be back the following day. **** did return, was here for about 20 minutes. He claimed to fix the issue and I took his word for it. Immediately after he left I ran a load, only to find out that all the issues I had before he came were still present in the dryer. The loud noise persisted and my clothes were not drying like they should. I called **** the next day. He said he would return but never did. **** continued for the next few days to make excuses. He has no plans to return to our home to fix the issue and will not return the money we paid for the service. I looked up the company online and there have been numerous claims of this being a fraudulent company. He continues to commit this crime to unassuming people. He is a criminal and a fraudster and should not be allowed to continuously commit this crime to hardworking people.

The business was hired to repair a microwave. They did not repair the unit but lead us to believe they did. They charged more than we paid for the unit and hammered the payment checks. They said they would refund the amount minus the service call and have not to date . We have called numerous times with no results.

On Thursday September 7, 2023 I called American Appliance Service because our fridge stopped cooling. After the man took hours to get back to me we opted to have him come Friday September 8, 2023. Stating his scheduler never gave him his schedule I was told he would be there between 2 and 4. He walked in to my home, we told him the problem and he went out to his truck for a long time to find the part, ultimately coming back in to say he can overnight it. We wrote him a check for $250 with the rest being paid when it was complete. We asked him to come back Sunday he said fine. He did not however keep us updated on anything. By Monday morning we realized we had been scammed. With no calls, only texts saying the part isnt in. Ill call you knowing he would never call. We also saw many other reviews with the same story as ours. We were luckily able to cancel our check prior to him taking our money. Im filing this so this doesnt happen to another person! We now have another repair man coming to fix our fridge!

On 6/13/2023 we called the ** 800 number provided in the owner's manual for refrigerator repair. They said an authorized ** repair person would contact us to schedule. Shortly after that American Appliance called and scheduled for later in the day (6/13) American Appliance arrived a few hours later. Without doing any diagnostics the repair person said the problem was the circuit board, that he had the proper circuit board back at the warehouse and that he would return later that day or call us later that day to schedule for the next day to install it. He required a down payment for the circuit board. We gave him a check for $240. and he said he was out of company invoices but gave us a generic form. He did not return, he did not call us and he did not return the next day. When we called him he said it wasn't scheduled yet but he would call us once it was. He has not called us back. The fridge repair is urgent so we've contacted a different repair service.

We called American Appliance Services to address and issue with our stove on February 16th of this year. We paid a $400 deposit for him to order the part, and then another $419.52 for labor for him to fix the stove. The issue was not resolved. We contacted him and it took him several weeks to come out to address the issue. Then he said he needed to order another part. The part took weeks to arrive. When the part finally arrived, it took several more weeks for him to come out an install it. Then when he did, it was not the right part. Although he routinely contacts us to say that he will "be there between ****," he regularly misses these windows and pushes things to later and later in the day with excuses like his truck is in the shop, or some other nonsense. We have a series of text threads with him that document his dilatory conduct over the past 5 months as well as receipts and cancelled checks documenting our payments to him. In short, this guy is a scammer. He comes across and very friendly and affable, but it has been 5 months and we still do not have resolution of this issue. We have tried to contact the main business number on our receipt, but no one ever answers and it doesn't go to voice mail. I encourage you to fullyinvestigate this business as I suspect it is not at all legitimate.

We began getting error codes on the control panel of our Thermador ovens. Thermador recommended this appliance repair service. They came out on 11/28/ 2022. The technician,****, thought that the contacts needed cleaning. The charge for this was ******. Within a week or two we began getting the error codes again. **** came out again, and announced that we needed a new control panel, and would order the part and get back to us. Multiple assurances were given that he was working on it and would be out shortly to replace the panel. He finally did come out on 12/ 27/2022 and replaced the control panel. The charge for that visit was $373.56. Within 2 weeks, I noticed problems with the clock and the digital readout. I contacted **** on January the 11th about this. He said he would come out and look at it. Text messages went back and forth but he never came out. I did report him to my credit card company and they are investigating. We found that this company has an F rating and has multiple complaints of a similar pattern of defrauding customers after faulty work or faulty parts. They guaranteed the control panel for 1 year, but have refused to replace it. Yesterday, I told the repairman **** that I was going to report him to the police if he did not come out and replace this panel. Suddenly, he was available today by 3:00 p.m. he arrived promptly, but did not have a replacement panel stating that he wanted to check for their error codes. Given the experience that other people have had with this company it sounded like the usual stalling. I told him I did not want to accept that.I wanted a new panel, and I was going to report him to the police. The police did contact him and then called me back and said that he said he would check with his boss about getting a refund. I don't have much hope for this as that seems to be a pattern that other customers have had. Multiple promises are made, never to be kept.I'm hoping you will be able to help me recover the money I have paid.

we called them by the first week of Dec 2022. His name is **** ( *************************). I paid ************************* to come fix my [appliance]. I advanced him payment through invoice **** and **** for a total sum of ******. He promised to come fix the [appliance] but never successfully completed it. Because of extensive delays and missed appointments on his end, I had to hire someone else to do it. I'm now demanding refund of the advance of ****** in which I paid him to perform services which he never rendered.
