They are biggest scam out there is FEP Blue Cross. I got prescription for a GPl-1 inhibitor which is covered thru the mail order pharmacy system but they do not have available any more for mail order. They want to me the full price using there retail pharmacy. So the price difference from the mail order system if available $149.00 for 90 days. The retail store is $651 for 30 days. I ask for a waiver and other discounts which they would not due. I even spoke to a supervisor This is misleading to the public and class action lawsuit should filled

FEP Blue has a cost estimating tool for various types of care. I needed a ********************** so I used their tool to understand my costs. It is even set up for specific hospitals so I could put in the specific surgical center. Their estimating tool gave me a cost for me after benefits of $450 and showed that they would pay about $32,000. When I got me explanation of benefits, they are paying $26,282 and my portion is over $4000. The total cost is in line with what their estimate is but my portion is almost 10 times what they said.

I have had very bad experience with BCBS FEP. Believe me I want to be satisfied with the service thats why for this year I picked them again but I have nothing but serious issues with billing . I am paying for the premium plan and everytime I use my insurance for basic services I get billed to pay either full or 35% of service charges when it clearly says in my policy that it is fully covered . I am a very unhappy customer . I cannot wait for this years open enrollment again .

I’m with ***** below. Prior to open enrollment I asked if my Wegovy prescription was covered and how much my new out of pocket cost would be and was told it wouldn’t be more than $35/mos. Now they are charging me $725/month. I am on the lowest dose to maintain my weight loss only. I have reduced my cholesterol, blood pressure, allergies, muscle aches, indigestion, etc. literally it had completely transformed my health in a positive way but Fepblue knows they will lose $$ if people get healthy so they are trying to keep us dependent on all the other medications and services. They should be ashamed!

Have had them for 10 years. I lost over 50 lbs on wegovy in 2024. I go to refill, $700+. Cheap ******** declassified it so they can line their pockets. Oh and my insurance cost went up anyway. They suggested a new oral drug. What are they doctors now? God forbid they cover a drug that helps people get healthier. GREED is the bottom line here.

The **** *** is a joke! I called five times before open enrollment. I asked them if they covered specific surgical *** codes. I gave them the two surgical codes. All five times they told me they do! When I made an appointment to go see the surgeon, he evaluated me and told me I qualify for the surgery. Once the doctor submitted everything to the **** FEP, **** FEP came back and said the surgery is not medically necessary. My doctor did a peer to peer. He was on the phone with the **** FEP doctor for over two hours. After all was said and done, my doctor asked if they would approve the surgery. The **** FEP doctor said that they don't cover that surgery. After I got a call from my surgeon letting me know this. I called **** FEP and asked them AGAIN if they cover the *** CODES. They person from **** FEP said they do. I asked why did your board doctor lie to my surgeon! No answer! **** FEP will just take your money but will not cover you.

I have been with them for over 10 years and never really use the pharmacy claim.. I tried to get Wegovy and it was approved by my doctor. The first prescription co pay was $60.00 and now for my second prescription they want me to pay a copay of $727.00 for 28 days. They **** and I will be dropping them next year for ******* disappointing.

[FEPBlue] promises the world but delivers the minimum when it comes to customer service. I have been with **** for many years and have never felt that it's focus was on service to their premium paying customers. I cannot recommend this company to those need live and timely assistance with their wellness needs.***

Me and my husband both received Cologuard test kits. My husband just had a colonoscopy recently, the BlueCross and Blue Shield must have his record, but they still sent him this test kit without checking patients' records, such a waste of money and environment. You could do a better job.

On March 07, 2023, ****************** billed me over 300% above the normal bill for fulvestrant shots. I immediately began calling Blue Cross regarding the over charge. **************** representatives told me my complaints were passed on to the Special Investigative Unit (***). After almost a year of fighting this overpayment, ****************** threatened me with collections. Thinking the *** was still working on the complaint, I paid the balance (I had initially paid the usual amount for the injections I received). As soon as I paid the disputed balance, ****************** again charged me approximately 300% more than my usual payment on February 07, 2024. Again I contacted Blue Cross this time disputing both the charges as a gross overpayment billed by ******************. I was told by Blue Cross supervisor "*****" (no last name) who suggested I contact the ************************** which I did. Since then, I have received 3 letters from Blue Cross denying partial or total review based on the complaints being over 6 months old (although there is documentation regarding my 2023 complaint being started within a month of the ****** Tahoe overcharge), or that I have appealed to the wrong department even though a Blue Cross supervisor referred me to this department. As I am not an idiot, there is ample evidence that either ******************, FEP Blue, or both are engaged in fraudulent transactions and are being nonresponsive to cover said fraud. In my humble opinion, there should be an investigation done of both Blue Cross and ****************** billing given that the former's profit was over $18 billion for 2023 (see ProPublica) and ****** Tahoe is a 501(c)(3) non profit organiztion which should not be pocketing money off its patients. In short, somone or some organization should be responsible for the inappropriate siphoning of money from a client/patient.
