    Pattern of Complaint:

    On June 12, 2020, Better Business Bureau recognized a pattern of complaints and customer reviews from consumers regarding delivery and customer service issues. Consumers allege that after ordering and paying for products from Prep Sportwear’s and waiting several months, they have not received their product. Consumers claim they are unable to track their orders and are unsuccessful when attempting to contact the company for assistance or a refund.

    The company is working with BBB to eliminate the underlying pattern of complaints. On July 23, 2020, Prep Sportswear responded to BBB by stating the following:  

    Over the past few months our business has been significantly impacted by COVID-19.  We would like to share the recent impacts to our business, and outline how we are responding to these challenges that have impacted you, our customer.

    • We have experienced a tremendous increase in order volume over the past four month period.  Our company was not ready for this immediate increase in orders, and therefore we experienced a delay in shipping orders.  Our usual time frame is to customize your individual order and ship it within (4) business days.  The increased volume combined with labor issues related to COVID-19 increased our ship time up to (7-10) business days.
    • The significant increase in orders and customer inquiries was more than our Customer Service team and technology platform was prepared to handle.  In response, we recently upgraded our customer service technology platform, hired a new Customer Experience Manager, and are adding additional team members to our service team.
    • Our supply chain vendors have been significantly impacted by COVID-19.  As a result, we have experienced multiple delays in vendor shipments for both products and materials which has caused additional delays in the manufacturing of our customized products.

      I ordered my product on 10/21/2023. Their website says it takes 5 to 7 business days to ship. It's been over a week and there is still no tracking information on the website. No customer support other than the limited chat that only has prep loaded questions. My Order number is *******. I would like my product shipped or my money refunded. This has been a horrible experience.

      Order placed for $171.84 on October 4th. Never received the items or any tracking number. There is no customer service. A chat bot just keeps saying it will be ready soon. The website states 4 business days in production and then shipped. It has been 23 calendar days since I ordered and it's still not complete or shipped.

      We received notice of a complaint filed with the BBB regarding your most recent order. You mentioned you did not receive your items or a tracking number. You also mentioned you tried to contact us but were not assisted. 

      We are sorry to hear about these issues with your order. We reviewed your chats on our site, it looks like you actually spoke with two of our agents on 10/19, 10/24, 10/30, and 11/2. Our agent **** refunded your shipping on 10/24 due to the delay with your items, you should already see that refund in your bank account. Looking at your order, it included a higher quantity of items compared to our regular 2-3 item orders and it also included one of our specialty items that typically takes a bit longer to produce. Our website states most orders will take 4 business days to produce but does not guarantee every order will be shipped within this timeframe because there are factors such as the number of items ordered or types of items ordered.

      I ordered a baseball jersey on October 2, 2023 and paid $65.93. Three weeks later there has been no communication regarding my order. There is no phone number to ask for assistance or information with the order. There is no tracking. The company offers no customer support all. The company's website states "Currently, our estimated completion time frame for most orders is 4 business days before shipping." It has been 3 weeks. The item is needed this Saturday, October 28. Based on the statements made on the website, I believe it was reasonable to assume that the item would be delivered before then. I want either a refund or the item delivered by this Friday, October 27.

      Placed order on 10/14/23. Paid $55.43. This amount has been deducted from my account. Ordered a long sleeve shirt with the football team mascot. Order is still being processed. Order status: In Production. Still no tracking number. Have called customer service twice, ************. ******* never wants the order number. He insists on needing more info i.e; my DOB, and other personal information. I find this to be completely unrelated. The order number is all ******* needs, as far as I'm concerned. I would like to be fully reimbursed by Prep Sportswear. I don't think at this point they deserve to refuse a refund, as stated on the order confirmation. I've called my bank regarding this matter and they're pretty sure this is a scam.

Our Track Order feature showed the order was in production and no tracking number was available. You also mentioned you tried to contact our customer service via phone call but were not assisted so it felt like we may have been a scam.

      We would like to clarify that we do not have a phone number. As an e-commerce business, we do not have a direct phone line, our correspondence is through live chats or emails only. We used to have a phone number but it is no longer active so it is possible you may have reached a different business that is not associated with us. Our Contact Us page on our website cites the different ways to contact our customer service department. We also provide this information on our FAQ page and it mentions we do not have a phone number. We apologize if a different site misled you or a directory website that is not kept up to date provided you with incorrect information. line:

      I placed an order with Prep Sportswear on October 17, 2023. I received a confirmation email but item continues to be under production. I am also unable to get in contact with the company. There is no customer support number available. My payment is pending on my bank account. It appears that my order will not be available anytime soon or even at all. I would like for the company to cancel my order and cancel my payment. I really needed the product within 14 days from date of order but there was no way of knowing delivery date options at check out. Item continues to be under production even today October 22, 2023.       I ordered 3 pieces on September 27th and today is October 10th. Still no delivery date and still in production allegedly. Website says 4 days turnaround and no email or phone number to contact, just a terrible chat bot. I also ordered another piece on October 5th, same result on that as well. Both screenshots attached. I just want my items delivered, totalling nearly 160$

      We recently received notice from the BBB of a complaint filed regarding your most recent orders with us. You mentioned the site stated 4 days turnaround and you had issues contacting us through our chat bot.

      We are sorry to hear about these issues with your orders. Looking at your orders, I see they both include some of our specialty embroidered items. On our site we state most orders are estimated to take 4 business days to produce before shipping. Unfortunately, this does not include our embroidered items because as you might know, all of our items are produced on demand and these items typically take longer to be completed. 

      We looked over your chats with our bot and saw that you left both chats early. The bot is able to transfer you to one of our live agents or to allow you to submit a message so that is responded to via email. Unfortunately, because both chats were left prematurely, this was not offered. 

      Nonetheless, we are glad to see that both orders have already been delivered as of 10/16 and we hope the items met your expectations.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me because I have received the items. However, their response is not correct because they claim the embroidered items are slower, but in fact my 2nd order which was the only embroidered item, shipped first and coincidentally right after I filed my complaint. My original order that had zero embroidered items, still shipped after the embroidered item. This adds to my suspicion that the first order was never going to be filled unless I filed a complaint.

      Me and my fiance were looking for a college football jersey and I found this site. On 9/23/2023 she ordered them and it's now 10/6/2023 and no update has been given. It still says it is in processing. I am not sure how to get a refund or get my order. We sent 120 or so dollars for our jerseys. I'm not too sure what else to do than dispute it with the bank.
