I am submitting this complaint to LAZ Parking as the new owner of the Seattle International Parking, and parent company or subcontractor ****. These two parking violations provide evidence that is illegible. The vehicles and license plates are not even visible. Additionally, even if pictures are of our vehicles, we were legally parked for 3 hours plus the 15 minutes grace period while dining the Peony Kitchen, that sponsors free parking. The amount charged, which was reduced to $82 each after contesting the violation, is still exorbitant with no justification for how it is calculated. There is no signage in this lot either of the fines. If these were valid, **** ****** would have been over by 12 minutes, and ********* ***** by just over 30 minutes. The cost to park for 0-2 hours in this lot is $5.00. Note as well that a full day parking in downtown ******* is generally between $20-$45, even if someone were to lose their ticket and have to pay. Please note the **** BBB site has over 2000 similar complaints, and a full AG case in ******** they had to settle for illegally charging hundreds of customers for wrongful charges. I filed a complaint on the **** BBB site as well and they are still refusing to adjust the billing. I have also complained about this very unfair and illegible violation to the Meyden Apartments leasing manager that oversees parking, and the ******************** that represents the retail customers that pay for ********************** monitoring. I tried to find and email contact for *** to no avail, so I am filing here - also seeing you are not BBB certified - but hoping that you can please resolve this and cancel these two violations, as I see you have done for other complaints that were really for ****. I urge you to drop this subcontractor as they are clearly not an honest business. Please opt for other fair and verifiable parking technology, like retail vouchers and/or paying on exit for any time over this amount.Business Response

I used this LAZ Parking garage on multiple occasions, and I have two car license plates being on record.On 11/22 I did park in the garage at 5:23PM but when I submitted in the application, I must have selected the wrong car (BXW1379/Audi Q3) rather than the one I ended up parking that evening ***** BXW0780). My credit card shows a charge for that day which I felt was adequate proof. I asked them to just have a look to validate that they received payment for BXW1379 at that time of day in that garage, but they refused. Payment for the garage was $3 but now I'm faced with a really a fraudulent payment of $97. I would love the BBB could help me receive a refund. Thanks so much! - *****Business Response

on Nov 8 I received in the mail a series of fees from a 3rd party collector citing failure to pay when parking in the lot at ********************. The dates of the various parking infractions were from Aug 19, 2024 through Oct 2, 2024. Each was a fee for $92. At no point since Aug did I receive a notice citing failure to pay on my car, which this lot previously had done. My concerns are as follows:- they waited nearly 3 months to issue tickets - the fine of $92 for each infraction, which doesn't match the posted policy in the garage - The posted signage in the lot says failure to pay after 15 days will result in a late fee charge. That fee still doesn't add to $92, AND I wasn't notified of the charges until nearly 90 days after the first infraction. - (Finally, there is further confusion as to the payment due date, as the notices I received in the mail say payment must be received by 30 days from receipt of the notice, and in accompanying letter it says 45 days from the date issue of each notice.)Business Response

I received parking tickets 90 days after the incident, making it impossible to pay the late fee incurred after 15 days. I received several parking tickets (10+) and not one of the parking tickets aligned with fees on the posted signage. not one.Business Response

On 10/16 at 10am I parked in the parking lot that was apparently owned by LAZ Parking. I prepaid $22.50 for 3 hours of parking until 1pm. I wasnt able to actually make it out of the lot until 1:20pm, apparently 20 min. late. LAZ Parking sent me a bill for $92. When I called PRRS Parking who manages collections for LAZ, they told me that was the fee for any expired ticket, from 5 min to 5 hours. Furthermore, they told me I could have simply paid for another 30 min before leaving the lot. This was not clear when I decided to use this companys parking facility. It is not only an unfair price ($92 for 20 min late), but a violation of my rights to park here with clear information of the regulations. I will continue to fight these unfair practices by companies taking advantage of unknowing customers.Business Response

Parking violation #********** Location: 5th and ******* Plate: CMW2179 For the second time at the same lot I was given a ticket for "no advance payment" after having paid for more than enough parking time using the ~only available sign~.At this point I am highly suspicious of the operating practices of this company. Company hasn't been responding to contact attempts (call and email) regarding an invoice. I have been reaching out to them regarding an invoice for a parking from a company I no longer work for. I have been trying to contact LAZ but no luck of getting response from them. They don't respond and theyre still sending me invoice and I now have a $900+ bill for a parking I don't even use. On 5/15/24 I went to my bank, **** of America, and parked in the parking lot. When I came back to my truck, I had a ticket from LAZ parking. Incensed, I contacted the email on the ticket and sent them a picture of the ticket, a picture of me holding my **** of America card, and told them that they needed to cancel the ticket since I was a **** of America customer. ******************************* emailed me back from their office and said, "The citation you reference was not issued by this office of LAZ Parking. Please contact the proper LAZ office using the telephone number or email address on the reverse of the citation. Alternately, you can contact our ******************** at ******************." I called the number that she told me to call and it's a busy signal. I called the 860 number and that was a busy signal as well. I contacted her back and she said, "Good afternoon, You can also contact ************." I called that number and it's a busy signal as well!!! I have called them repeated for the last couple weeks and the lines are always busy. At this point, the ticket has gone from $50 to $90!!! Obviously this is part of their business plan, so that clients cannot get in touch with them to dispute the tickets. This is ridiculous!!!Business Response

I was issued a parking notice for parking after hours in the designated area for bank customers on 5/17/24. Citation number #********. I was there to withdraw money from the bank and the officer was literally issuing ticket as I was walking back to the car. I spoke with her explaining why I parked my car there and it was in the designated area too. I also called the customer service number immediately trying to resolve the situation and they both refused to help me there and instead asked me to file an appeal. I filed an immediately rejected due to lack of "evidence", I am not sure what evidence I would offer unless I am given access to the security footage of the parking area. We are in receipt of the complaint sent by **********.
I reached out to ********** on the phone and spoke with him. He explained he received a citation even though he was utilizing the bank ATM. In these situations, citations are not warranted. As such, citation # ******** has been voided as an erroneously given citation and have notified him that the employee in question will receive further training. I have extended our apologies to ********** for the inconvenience and have both agreed that the matter is now closed to our mutual satisfaction.

My wife was driving our car and parked on 11/30/2023 at **** am at zone ******. She received citation# ******** for expired tabs on our ***** CX-9 WA CEP0900. However, our tans are current and our vehicle was properly registered. Our registration lists our tab issue date as 07/13/2023.I called the number on the citation in an attempt to contact the business, and I got a robo-greeting and voicemail, with which I left my name and phone number for follow-up.
