I looked up Mr ********************** on the internet and it advertised a $95.00 special for clogged toilets and sinks. I have a partially clooged toilet. I called and made an appointment for today 10/15/24. When the person arrived he said it was over $200.00 to snake the drain up to six feet. I then showed him his companies website and he couldn't explain the price difference. By this time he had snaked the drain but didn't solve the problem. They are advertising one price and once out on location quoting another price. I think they should honor the $95.00 price that they advertised..Business Response

After having someone set mouse traps and check to see where water was coming into my crawl space under the house, he said the drain pipe outside was bad, also mentioned a crack in the cement that should be fixed. March 1, 2024 I called Mr. ********************** Plumbing, ***** came out repaired the pipe, said he installed my new sump pump for my old one, my old pump was working good. I paid with credit card and he left and took my sump pump with him. The next day I was outside cutting branches and heard a clanking sound, very little water coming out every minute of the drain pipe. Called Mr. **********************, the next day ***** came out and I explained I had never had that problem before, we went down crawl space, water was gushing out of a pipe, he asked if I put the slit in the pipe, I said no. He said it was working as it was supposed to. I ask for my sump pump back because I always had a backup, he said he ***** write a report. Was still not happy with problem, called Mr. ********************** again, **** came out and we went down crawl space and I explained I was not happy with installation, he assured me it was ok and he called his Manager *****, put on speaker phone, they said it was installed per specification. I was not happy and finally called another Company, ***** came out, went down crawl space, he said the slit was too big, water gushing out, was 2-3 inches, replaced pipe, put a hole 1/4 inch. He did not ask for payment, said it would be in the mail. I called again, said it was still not doing good. He mentioned it was probably the pump. I went and purchased another new one. He came out again, we went down crawl space, I said do you think that is a new pump in there and he said it had been in there a while. We replaced the OLD pump with a NEW one. *****, neighbor called Mr. ********************** on a Friday late afternoon.and thought I should not have to pay for their service. Saturday morning I had a knock on my door, did not answer, no appointment, did not answer phone calls.Business Response

We have met with the customer and sent a plumber out at no cost 3 times after the initial service. Upon review, the pump we installed was the customers new customer supplied pump. We in good faith have offered the customer a $400 refund and are waiting for a response.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: after having them out 3 times, I had to hire another Plumber to tell me they left my old pump in and took my new one. This cost me a lot more money to find this out. After my neighbor called about this problem on a Friday afternoon, Saturday AM, they called and said they would be out soon, later had a knock on my door and Mr. ********************** was there, I did not answer my door or accept any phone calls. They knew they were in error! I would like to submit correspondence I have had with them and the charges that are not acceptable.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because:
It does not even cover the cost of having to hire another Plumbing Company, 3-25-24 to 3-28-24 to solve this problem, plus I had to purchase another sump pump to be installed. One purchased 1-27-24 another one on 3-27-24.The work by Mr. ********************** was also a big expense and not done properly.

Complaint: 21613585Requesting payment of $1500.00.
I am rejecting this response because: I had to hire another plumbing company to fix the sump pump problem they created March 1, 2024. ONE, they left my old sump pump in that they damaged and TWO stole my new one that was supposed to be installed. Please see my original complaint. I am requesting payment of $1500.00 to help cover the charges of hiring a plumbing company who came out one day to access the problem and then come back another day to install another new pump that I purchased, Im still out the cost of my old pump that was working and the cost of a new pump. The charges will include all the time spent and all the stress i am having. I have copies of expenses and documents that was sent earlier.

January 16th **** "*************************** " ******************************* came to my home to work on my well. He replaced my filtration system and *** piping I am a widow but had no choice but to pay the $1,902.47 if I wanted water in my home. I had already been three days without water in my house. ***** said that all we needed to do was wait for the ice to thaw at this point, then "I" should turn the spigot on in about (two hours) and see if water comes through, if it does, then turn the second spigot because that means it's safe to run the water through and there is no longer ice in the system to do damage. He put two heat sources on the pipes and I returned the next morning (figuring that was more than adequate time for the ice to melt). When I turned the spigot on no water came through, but the *** piping where ***** connected the pipes was leaking across the electrical cord for the heater. I called the office and the dispatcher said that it would be two more days before someone could come out. I insisted since I had already paid them I need it fixed today. **** arrived several hours later and spoke to me in "plumber language" that I did not understand except for the words "I don't know". I shut the door since had no paperwork for me, nothing for me to read or follow up. As I had previously explained to him, I had a video chat call with a doctor going on. Every call I have made since is not answered, (caller ID) or hung up on (by ****** at dispatch) except for the call that **** made but couldn't talk because he was coaching baseball. I cannot afford to pay another company to fix this problem (as I said I am a recent widow) until this money is returned. The work ethic of this company is appalling, I don't know if this is common practice for this company, but not for me. I see where I went wrong, which was choosing Mr. ********************** in the first place.Business Response

Mr ********************** was contacted to get estimate to repair a leaking water pipe in the crawl space. We were told that there would be a $39.00 charge to come and diagnose the problem and give us an estimate. We set a date. When the employee arrived we explained the problem and we were told that for him to take a look at the problem it would cost us $350.00 and that did not cover any repairs. When we made the original call, we asked many questions , one of which was if the service call fee covered crawling in the crawl space to give us a proper diagnosis of the problem. We were told yes it would. Not that it would be $35.00 just to knock on the door and do nothing. Not one thing was performed. When we explained that this is not what we were told, they said company policy, sorry! This is a bait and switchBusiness Response

On January 25, 2023, Mr. ********************** came to my home to detect where a leak was coming from on my dining room ceiling. They charged me $349.74 to cut a hole in the ceiling to find the leak. After running the shower and tub for almost 30 minutes a leak did not occur. The plumber left, and 15 minutes later the leak showed up again. They came back out to my home on January 26, 2023, and cut two more holes in my ceiling and wall, this time it did leak. The plumber said it was coming from the handle of the shower and caulked it. Im am still not confident this fixed the problem and I want someone to find out where the leak is coming from and stop it. Mr. ********************** was called as part of an insurance claim and since there is no problem to the resolution, my claim was closed. I would like someone to find the true source of the leak so that I can use my shower and tub in confidence.Business Response

We recently purchased an investment home and had a home inspection prior to closing escrow. During the inspection it was discovered that there were some plumbing issues including clogged toilet. We immediately contacted Mr ********************** to come take care of the clogged toilet including all plumbing issues noted under the house. We had the sewer line scooped and never received the video and then after contacting Mr ********************** were told we never ordered or paid for one. It was then requested that management call us to discuss the issue. The manager did call and it was discovered that there had been a video done but was corrupt and would have to be done again. Fast forward to today. We had other work being done under the house and it was discovered that all drains and sewer line is leaking into the crawl space. So essentially none of the repairs were completed and we were charged $1217.13 and per Mr ********************** $787.18 was for the toilet! Have you been to ********** of Lowes lately? Not sure where they got this toilet but a similar one from Lowes is $171.00. Its sad that there are companies that take advantage of consumers! Luckily we had someone go under the house or we would not know the work we hired them to do was not completed!!! We want our money back and plan to file complaints where we can so others do not get taken advantage of!Business Response
