On 5/18/23 at 10am, ********************* provided an estimate of $53,562 with a deduction of $2500 for plans cost for a final of $51,062 + tax. I wrote a check for $5858.82 (10%). A contact was executed on May 22nd, 2023. I asked about the *** + 7 for the start date and ****************** indicated that I would be next in line when he completed an existing project and that we would have a start date when he was close to the existing project being finished. He asked if I could meet with an Architect in the area to discuss the project, but this meeting never materialized. He delivered a set of preliminary drawings on June 13th with an indication that these were not for construction. I indicated that the orientation of the roof was incorrect. The Architect was only identified as ****. I reviewed the drawings and indicated that the roof orientation was incorrect in less than 5 hours on the same day. At some point in a phone conversation, *** indicated that he was looking for someone else to provide dwgs suitable for permitting. There were various text and e-mail with a few phone calls over the next few months with no progress. On an e-mail dated 7/11/23, ***************** stated the following: I checked with ****, the architectural drawings are done as *** mentioned and now the engineer is working on the calculations before finalizing everything and submitting for permits. "They ran into some issues and this part was delayed for a little longer then I planned but were trying to finalize it soon". On August 15th, ***************** started a text group that included the Engineer. Engineering was completed and permit drawings were available. Neither the Engineer or myself have been able to communicate with ***************** via e-mails, texts or phone calls for him to provide an estimate of a change indicated in June. We are approaching the end of construction season and this scope of project will most likely damage the interior of the house through weather exposure. All comm's and doc's are intact.

Giant Builders has agreed to proceed with the project in the late Spring/early Summer of ********************************* May of 2023.  The price of the contract would remain the same in ****.

If I can receive some sort of documentation from ******* confirming the terms, then I would agree to drop the claim.  Thus far it has just been 1 phone call and a few texts regarding our status.

We could discuss some construction windows as well so that we can be prepared to be out of the home during construction activities.

I met with the Contractor and we have a plan moving forward to perform per the contract with previously agreed upon construction details. ******* as the owner of Giant was easy to work with and we look forward to the completion of this project. Please drop our complaint and any associated actions related to our complaint.
