    I signed a contract with Palmer Construction on 12/15/2022 to fix hail damage to my home that occurred on 8/11/2022 in ************, **********. I was informed that 1/2 of the money I had received from my insurance claim was due in order to start the work. The request for 1/2 down was received and paid on 5/5/2023 for the amount of $10,500.Palmer Construction then changed and said that it wasn't 1/2 down but the full amount from my insurance claim that was required in order to proceed. The request for the additional insurance money was received and paid on 6/21/2023 for the amount of $11,178.62.Palmer Construction completed the roof portion of the job and sent an invoice dated 3/1/2024 for the amount of $12,753.85. The amount of $12,753.85 was paid on 3/4/24 to cover the roof portion.Palmer Construction determined on 4/30/2024 that I would need to sign an addendum in order for them to proceed and complete the rest of the job. My insurance company would not sign off on a full siding replacement and Palmer Construction would not warranty the new siding since it would be touching the current siding.On 4/30/2024, I asked to have the contract canceled and the unused insurance money refunded in the amount of $10,839.31.I sold the home the day after the hail storm occurred and the new owner and I have been dealing with a severe lack of communication from Palmer Construction with unanswered phone calls and emails. At one point, I stopped by the Palmer Construction office and was given a number to text them in order to speed up response time. The texts went unanswered as well. Palmer Construction has sited my insurance company for the time delays throughout the process. However, each time Palmer Construction reached out to my insurance company they responded within 1 week and most of the time the same day.All I want is to have the unused insurance money refunded in the amount of $10,839.31 and to end this awful experience.

    It has been two years of dealing with this company for one claim, TWO YEARS! I was impacted by the hail storm in August of 2022 and had Palmer out the next day to take a look, their owners Jennifer and *** (I think) were there and seemed professional and at first the communication was great and the roof went on a couple months later.... Then I didn't hear from them for MONTHS, I called and emailed trying to get someone's attention. I talked to my insurance to see if there was any communication on their side.... there wasn't. I finally had to go into their physical location to get someone to talk to me. Finally getting a hold of someone and keeping on top of it, my siding went on at the end of 2023, and was mostly completed until they had to wait for back ordered shutter fasteners, it took another few months for them to get out and put those up along with a couple screens (they scheduled this 3 times with me and nobody showed up).... Here I am almost 2 years later still dealing with this claim that should have been dealt with long ago. They have sent me invoices that have incorrect amounts and asking for line items that never happened from my insurance (like putting up scaffolding, when they just used ladders). There communication is terrible, their billing can really use some work (better attention to detail) and their communication with insurance is abysmal. I am thoroughly looking forward to the day that the final supplement comes through that they are happy with, and send me the final invoice (AND IS CORRECT) and I can pay it and be done. Until that day, they will continue holding me hostage with their incompetence. If you ever end up reading this, and you are thinking about having Palmer take a contract on your claim, don't do it..
