AutoNation Honda Spokane Valley has not yet provided a refund of $1,463.28 that I was over charged. June 10, 2024 *************************** AutoNation Honda Spokane Valley **************************************************************************************************** Dear AutoNation Honda Spokane Valley,In 2019, Washington State reinstated the sales and use tax exemption for the sales of vehicles powered by a clean alternative fuel and certain plug-in hybrids. The exemption applies to dealer and private sales of new, used, and leased vehicles sold on or after August 1, 2019. Used vehicle transactions must not exceed $30,000 in fair market value or lease payments. On March 25, 2024, I purchased a used 2016 Tesla Model X from your dealership for the purchase price of $26,880 (under the $30,000 price limit for used cars). The ********************************************************************************gov (see snip below). According to the law, this sale was subject to a $16,000 sales tax exemption. On the sales receipt, it shows I was charged $2,446.08 in sales tax on this sale, which was calculated as 9.1% on the $26,880 sales price. However, the law requires that sale tax only be assessed on the $26,880-$16,000= $10,800. The sales tax on $10,800 is $982.80, which is $1,463.28 less than I was charged.I am owed a sales tax refund of $1,463.28.If you have questions about this law you can call the Department of Revenue's (DOR) Tax Assistance line at ************.Ive emailed and called several times about this issue.Warm regards,*************************Business Response

I bought a car 2013 ***** Sonic sedan, from Honda Auto nation. The car was fine for a month or so then I started having issues mechanically, so I took it in(first time) they told me I had a oil/coolant leak that needed to be fixed, so I scheduled a time to get it fixed(second time) but when I went in to get the issue resolved after several hours they came back and told me that there were NO leaks, annoyed I was like ok and left then the car really started to struggle I lost power while driving and I noticed white smoke coming from under the hood and out of the tail pipe so I took it back (third time) that's when they told me that the car did have the oil and coolant leak but it's bad and leaking into the engine where it shouldn't be and a long list of other issues. Pretty much told me the cars repairs where more than the car is worth. I 100% believe that Honda Auto nation sold me a lemon, I have tired several times to talk to them on them replacing the car with something else I have already acured **** in rental fees because I still don't have my car and it doesn't look like I'll be getting it back anytime soon. That's not including the money they want me to pay out of pocket. They took advantage of my desperate situation and the fact I needed a car ASAP and have never had to buy a car before so I didn't know anything and took their word as honest and truthful. I was so wrong and now I'm suffering the consequences. I just want to know if there is anything that can be done to make them resolve the issue and give me another car of the same value or more. I don't have document on me but I can get them if needed.Business Response

This business sold me a vehicle that still had a lean on it, and now they are taking it back and trying to give me another vehicle that is in subpar condition. They wholesaled my trade in vehicle, so now I am unable to use that vehicle while waiting for them to pay off the bank that approved my loan, which was the plan until I found out they couldn't give my trade in vehicle back. I would also like to mention that this business took in the vehicle they sold me while it had a falsified title, which somehow didn't pop up in their system until after they sold me the vehicle. So now, I am unable to purchase a vehicle until they pay off my loan to the bank, BECU, and this process can take up to two weeks. During that time I still have to go to work, and I am unable to use a loaner vehicle because I am not yet 25 years old.Business Response

I traded a vehicle in while purchasing a vehicle from Autonation Honda 01/16/2022 and was instructed by the agent I did not need to remove the plates or transfer the vehicle out of my name I asked are you sure? They instructed me that they will take care of that and we then continued the transaction. 11/08/2022 I began receiving citations for the sold vehicle and from ****************,********** stating my vehicle the traded vehicle was parked illegally and I owed 90 something dollars for it. I sent them an appeal with the information gave to me from the dealership and 12/28/22 I received a reply for the appeal saying it has been upheld and that I am responsible for the cost. I am very angry as I had discussed with their agent that they will remove the plates and transfer the vehicle out of my name, and I have never traded a vehicle before and asked for reassurance that was corrected was told they wouldn't sell a vehicle with the previous plates. However, here I am receiving a parking ticket for a vehicle with my plates that I no longer own and was told would be taken care of. Terrible professionalism, if it was my responsibility then don't lie and say it isn't. I have since transferred the vehicle out of my name, but am still being told I am responsible for the citation and I will not be held responsible for their lack of professionalism and misguidance.Business Response

I took my 2022 CRV to Autonation for its first oil change at about **** miles on November 9, 2022. When the service was completed I left and drove for about 10 minutes when all the emergency sensor lights on my dash went off. I immediately pulled over and called the service center. I was told to bring the vehicle back, which I did. After waiting for about an hour, I asked the service rep what was happening. He checked with the tech and was told there was a problem with the oil filter and that caused all the sensors to turn on. I was very uspset. Wasn't told until after the fact that a different oil filter, not a Honda filter was used. They redid the oil change and everything so far seems okay. The service manager said they would refund my $90. charge because of the inconvenience. I have called twice, since to date, I have not been refunded the promised amount. It has been 2 weeks. I do not think it is unreasonable to expect the refund in that amount of time.Business Response
