      I purchased a home from home boys. The model home had dark fixtures in the bathrooms, kitchen, and door handles/hinges. I told the sales person ***** several times that I wanted to order the home exactly like the model. And before signing the contract I asked again. He assured me it would be. When I received the mobile home, it came with cheap looking silver bathroom and kitchen fixtures as well as cheap silver door and drawer handles. I was told by home boys that I didnt pay for that upgrade, which I would have if I had been told it was an upgrade.I feel this was a bait and switch. I have asked home boys to make it right and they have refused. I also didnt get the $7000 heat pump i paid for which I just discovered today.

      We are very sorry you did not order the home exactly the same as our display home.  I have sent this to you many times (see attached).  We offered to order you the black decor items but you would have to pay for them as you did not pay for them or order that option package.  You were in this home many times and you saw this value guide in the home, your price was different than the display home.  I told you yesterday before you filed this complaint that we needed to install your heat pump.  The heat pump has been ordered for you.

      They have not addressed the bait and switch. I looked at the home and asked that what Im ordering will look like the model. And I was assured that it was. They say I didnt pay for upgrades, which I didnt because they told me the house I ordered would look like the interior of the model. 
      Its like buying a car and assuming that it came with wheels. You dont ask how much extra the wheels are because you assume what you are being sold is what you are being told it is.

      Our journey with Home Boys started in August 2023. We found the home we wanted, a lender was found, we put $500.00 escrow down which we were told if things did not work out it would be refundable, and we ordered what we thought was going to be our dream home. Approximately 1 month later the owner decides he did not like the lender that was chosen for us and stated he did not want to do business with them. Things went spiraling down hill from there.We ended up having to go through 2 more lenders jumping through various hoops and to no avail ended up with an increased amount of $80,000 on the mortgage and went from 7 percent to ******************************************************************** October 2024.To this day 3/19/2024, after multiple attempts via phone and email they have not refunded our $500.00 nor have they attempted to contact **************** *******************************

      Are home was delivered in January of 2022. We did a walk through and wrote all the problems down. We have not had 1 think fixed in are home and it is now November of 2023. We have contacted them so many times I can't even count. It gas been one excuse after another. I have saved every email and voice message. It is absolutely absurd. I'm am at **** end. Toilet lid tank covers wrong Suze, no screen for window. House is separating in the middle. The wall paper is bubbling u po. I could go on for a while.

      We purchased a manufactered home Sept 2022, there has been no communication from the company, excuses after excuses why things are not getting completed inside the home so we are able to move in, they keep telling us they are going to go finish the house and that it will take 5-7 days, texting us on the day they are suppose to begin the work, someone is out sick, someone has quit, never a phone call and will not return vm message, (if you are lucky enough to leave one if they don't have their vm turned off or it is full). We have been turned over to another "manager", that states she is new to the position and doesn't know what's going on. We have paid off the house and all the work that was guaranteed to finish the house, we are currently living in a rental that is owned by the homeboys, and are starting to feel taken advantage of because they are making $2000 month off of ** in rent ** not completing our house.

      I recieved a call from one of the owners (JUNIOR) at the home boys chewing me out and asking why I would submit a claim to the BBB, he would not let me get a word in with interrupting and raising his voice ar me. He proceeded to make up a bunch of excuses and lies AGAIN, blaming everything on us. We were told 3 more things would be completed between July 31st and August 4, none of which were/have been completed during that time, electrician, repair. A cleaning crew was supposedly scheduled today August 4th per *******, none of these were completed nor were we contacted with an explanation of why. I would like to not be harrased by the owner as to why I have submitted these claims as he knows very well why, and no we won't be dropping this bbb complaint as he has asked us to do! Absolutely the most unprofessional company i have ever dealt with! They're communication is aweful!

      We are very sorry **************** is not happy and I'm very sorry she thinks we are lying to her.  Their home was built in December 28th 2022 and they did not get their site ready until early June 2023.  We delivered their home to site on June 14th 2023, the home got set on June 26th 2023, the buyer got the utilities hooked up on July 12th 2023 (which are needed to complete home), We had the drywall, trim, & carpet done on June 28th 2023, we did the construction clean on August 7th 2023, and the walk through on August 8th 2023. We had a crew there today to do the final punch list to get everything complete, except 1 piece of siding that needs to be ordered from the factory. There is a electrical item that we are waiting to get the electrician there to fix  If their site would have been done earlier this home would have been completed much earlier.  Per our agreement it typically takes us up to 60 working days to complete a customers home. Hopefully once they move in they are happy with their new home.  ***** (the husband) has seemed to be very understanding.

      First of all congratulations on figuring out all those days for the house set up and such! Secondly, those dates have absolulty nothing to do with the issues we are waiting for you to address (and no they have not been completed as you stated in your last reponse to the bbb, either the employees are not showing up to do the work or no one has a clue what's going on). Also my husband wouldn't be contacting you on a daily basis if he was understanding with what was going on! Take some responsibility for your actions, it is very unprofessional of a business to throw other businesses under the bus to make themselves look good! You have a list of what needs to be addressed as well as yellow tape all over the house marking the things on that list! Also my husband had to call ******* to get the phone number of the electrician to set that appointment up, we waited 2 weeks for you to get ahold of them, being told you were waiting for a response from them, after we contacted them, they were here the next day!

      We are waiting for some parts from the factory to complete their exterior siding, as the panels are not sold in local area as they are 12' *********** panels, they have to come from the factory.  Once we have the parts we will schedule the final exterior and interior repairs on their home.  We will try to get this done in 1 trip as to minimize time for client to be at home for us to do our service work.

      You are absolutly unreasonable!! we gave you a date to get it finished because we no longer wanted you in our home after we moved in! According to you, the two gentlemen you sent to finish all the repairs had finished them and they were sent back to the tri cities, all the items were not completed and finished trim looks terrible, **** and ***** both saw it agreed it looked awefull! My question is why is this our fault by not having the electricity turned on and whatever other bogus crap/excuses you are claiming  "didn't get done in a timely matter" have any affect in this, if it would have been completed correctly the first time in a professional manner and checked off by the supervisor of these guys before they were sent back, it would have been done when they were there! Stop throwing the blame on everyone else and do your job as you claim you do when you sell these homes to the customers, read your bad reviews from all the customers around here you are doing this to, it's nothing new and looks as if you are doing it more and more now, you will see a trend as everyone seems to be unhappy about the same thing in most of them, maybe instead of copying and pasting your response to them, be a little more professional and personal and deal with it as if you are the owner of the company!!!

      No, the repairs have not been completed, they showed up to our house on the 26th, cut a very large hole in our house and called us saying that they didn't have the above mentioned piece that they had supposedly ordered 4 weeks ago from the manufacture, instead they calked the damaged piece back onto the house along with unfinished and mismatched trim around the window, Also the trim that was supposed to be given to us as well to complete the inside repairs that were never completed that we will do ourselves once they provide the promised replacement trim. ******* stated that they would get the correct piece of siding to finish the repair this morning oct 2nd, they did not show and we have not recieved any communication from them since the 26th stating they didn't have the materials!

      I wanted to purchase a mobile home. Put $46,000 down was told it would take a year to be ready.       I purchased a home from homeboys in October 2022- was told 7-8 months total to be able to move in. I now have to move in and theres no house, and even once its delivered they are stating 2-3 months to set up. That doesnt work. I will be homeless for that time because my plans were solely based on the timelines they provided at time of purchase meaning by the end of May my home should be liveable and I have no place to go. no money for another place to rent, rents are over $2k a month and my home still hasnt even been delivered. **************************** is being rude, not flexible, not trying to sort it out and rearrange his schedule to accomodate as he should although they are the ones who delayed the build of the home and are ultimately going to make me homeless. I want my home delivered and set up no later than the end of May because they knew I have no place to go.

      We are very sorry you are not happy with timelines, but we are ahead of schedule as far as building the home.  You signed your purchase agreement on 10/26/2022 with a build time @ the factory of approx 7-8 months, and your home was finished at the factory on 4/28/2023, which is 6 months from order (1-2 months ahead of schedule). We are in process of getting home delivered to site.  Once home is onsite we should be able to get it blocked and leveled within **** working days.  Once we do that we stop until you get all utilities hooked up and turned on.  Then it typically takes us ***** working days to complete (just like our signed contract says)  I highlighted this info for you.  Just an FYI the buyer hasn't closed their loan so normally we don't deliver until loan is closed, but we are trying to get her home done asap.  Also my understanding is she does have a travel trailer onsite to live in.

      May of 2021 we paid a deposit on a home that was to be built and delivered by March of 2022. Here we are nearing the end of October with no information on the build and delivery of our home. The set backs by Home Boys have caused accommodations for the home to fall through resulting in different ones. In May we were told our home would be ready the end of June which I wasnt so we ended up buying property for the home and were then told September causing us to pay more for our foundation to be done quicker. September we were told by the seller that he doesnt know about it or how to read when it will be ready. Just last week we were told that it would be done and set to deliver next week (end of October beginning of November). They have yet to get our closing documents out to our bank, there was no one there to walk through signing even when we called to schedule it being done. Resulting in not all papers being signed. Having to sign more papers and we requested them be overnighted which was communicated theyd be sent out that evening. The Bank has yet to receive them and today we were told that they were just mailed regularly which could take up to a week. Not only that but they refuse to allow us to talk to the owner to get clear information on the build of the home which we were told would be done over and over again to then be told its not even started. Had I known this was the game that would be played with an above ******* home with a ****** down payment we would have never went with Home Boys. Now were stuck waiting for a home with no information and no way to get any money back if we go with a different seller. Because the home is ordered so theyll have to charge a 20% restock fee resulting in us only getting ***** of our ****** back. Poor customer service even worse communication and a huge lack of ownership. Always blaming the customer.

      We are really sorry this customer is unhappy with their home buying process.  I'm very confused when they say they never talked to the owner as I talked to them several times as they were going to back out of the purchase on this home and I told them that we didn't want to keep their money and should look at other options.  You will see their signed purchase agreement.  There 1st was signed around 5/27/2021 (**** ** ********) and then another signed 08/08/2022 (signed purchase agreement).  As far as delays with COVID the factory production went way down and build times too longer.  They were presented with the updated purchase agreement and they wanted to continue with this purchase.  The home is built and their site is almost ready but their site contractor did not do the best job on the site. We want them as happy clients and hopefully once home is onsite, set and complete they will be happy with their purchase

      We were told our house would ***********-8 weeks to build, and we waited a year to get it. We were told by three different employees of Home Boys our house could be moved to our property, even with our road being curvy and steep. So, we chose a larger house with assurance again our house could be moved to our property. After waiting a 11 months for our house, Home Boys attempted to move our house maybe a 1/3 of the way up the road. Our house sat on the side of the road for over a month. Then, Home Boys told us they could not move our house to our pad and stated they would reimburse us and rush us a new house. I hired a different business to move our house, which they did. We were told a year after the house settled they would send a crew out to re level and fill the cracks in the inside. Our floor is slanting/sagging in multiple spots, the walls and window frames our cracking and one window is leaking. I tried contacting Home Boys for over 4 weeks leaving 3 voicemails, never receiving a call back. After I called again, I was finally in touch with someone. I asked if we could schedule to get a crew out to re level our house and fill the cracks. I was informed they do not do that. After reviewing our contract it does state within a year they do come out and re level and fix the cracks. This entire process of purchasing our house has been extremely frustrating m between the horrible customer service and false promises. The only good experience was the help from our salesmen, ***** at the beginning. We dont want to have to fight the company to come out and do a few simple repairs, all we would like is to do as the contract states and fix the cracks and re level the house.

      I'm responding to the complaint by the ****** on their home purchase.  At The Home Boys our number 1 goal is satisfied customers.  To do this we have to be specific about what is included and what is not included in our purchase of our homes.  I have attached a full copy of the purchase agreement that was signed by buyers.  I think the buyer was confused on build times as the purchase agreement on page 1 says estimated build time 4-6 months.  We received their down payment (to order home) on July 30th 2020 and order their home on August 2nd 2020.  Their home was built and ready to ship in Mid January 2021.  By the time the home was built there was way too much snow and ice to get home to site.  So their home sat in storage.  Once we could finally try to deliver the road going up was too tight, we worked with them and another contractor to get home onsite.  Per the purchase agreement they needed a all weather road for access that was big enough for home delivery.  There was quite a bit of work they needed to do to get the home up the road as it was to narrow with some of the turns.  As far as crack repair there is no warranty for this as first their home is not on a full concrete foundation below frost grade, they are on concrete runners. They also signed in several place about drywall warranty.  If there is a window leaking can they get us pictures this should be able to get this covered under factory warranty if they can email us some pictures of the issue to ********************************

      On 11/12/2019, we signed a contract for a 2019 Golden West Inspirational Maple home. We received a discount as it had been a display home since 03/2019. We paid in full via Cashier's Check on 11/14/2019 and was told by **** that our home would be delivered by 11/20/2019 as long as the foundation, water, sewer and electric were set up. The home did not arrive on 11/20/2019, as previously promised, and all messages for someone to call me back with an update went unanswered. Everything was done on our end as we had promised. On 11/24/2019 I wrote an unfavorable review on the Home Boys ********* due to all the issues we were having and them not following through. The owner, ******************************, asked me to remove the ** post. I told ************ wouldn't remove it until he resolved all issues. He then told me via text on 11/24/2019, "Sorry. This is Thanksgiving week. Your expectations are unreasonable. We will refund your money on Monday. Sorry." I told him I did not want a refund. He told me he was going to issue a refund. I had to consult an attorney, who told me that we had signed a binding contract and that he couldn't simply refund my money. After a telephone call with *****, I agreed to remove the ******** post and ***** advised the house would be delivered on or around 12/03/2019. The house was delivered on 12/03/2019. The fridge was lying face down on the floor and there was damage to the kitchen island and tiling/grout. ***** advised he would send us $500 for the fridge (he never did). The **** was set up wrong (only heating 1/2 the house resulting in $500 electric bills), a large cut in bathroom linoleum, carpet not long enough in all rooms, missing light covers, outside wood missing and/or needs repainted. I've reached out several times and keep getting excuses. Last text I received from ***** was on 05/25/2022, "I'm very sorry that you think we will drop everything for you..." Now, he will not respond to texts. It's almost 3 years and we want everything fixed!

      Our goal at The Home Boys is for customer satisfaction and we are really sorry we dropped ball on this service work as this should have been handled a long time ago.  We had requested pictures to see the issues and the pictures were not clear to see exact issues.  We sent 1 of our techs out to look and should have a remedy soon on how to fix.  ***** (our service manager) will be following up soon to schedule repairs.

      On 11/12/2019, we signed a contract for a 2019 Golden West Inspirational Maple home. We received a discount as it had been a display home since 03/2019. We paid in full via Cashier's Check on 11/14/2019 and was told that our home would be delivered by 11/20/2019 as long as the foundation, water, sewer and electric were set up. The home did not arrive on 11/20/2019, as previously promised, and all messages for someone to call me back with an update went unanswered. The house was finally delivered a few weeks later but had several issues. I was promised all issues would be resolved. I finally had to reach out to BBB to try to get some things resolved. After filing my initial complaint, they did come out and fixed half of the issues. I have received a run around again, with the last response from them on 11/02/2022 via email. I do not have faith that they will resolve the remaining items and would like to be paid via Cashier's Check immediately, so I can hire somebody to complete the outstanding items. The cost of refrigerators has gone up substantially since the purchase of my home, along with the cost off carpeting and paint. As a result, I am asking that Home Boys sends me a Cashier's Check in the amount of $6,000 to cover the cost of recarpeting, a new refrigerator, the trim on the side of the house and the cost of the paint to repaint the trim and other touch *** on the house. I ask that this is done before responding to this complaint as I no longer have faith that it will be completed.

      Yes we will send *********************** 500 for refrigerator as agreed to.  as far as carpet they bought a display home and saw the home prior to home being delivered.  We are not going to change out carpet.  For the exterior paint touch up we will give them another credit for 200 for a full and final settlement of 700.00

      I am rejecting this response because: The proposed settlement is unfair and displays poor business practices.

      I have been waiting 3 years and 3 months for these issues to be resolved. I have sent several text messages and emails with members of the Home Boys team since our home was delivered in December 2019. I have requested updates and have received a run around, they've been a no call no show and/or stopped responding to me via phone, text and/or email throughout these 3 + years. 

      At the time I purchased my home in November 2019, Home Boys Manager, Chaz, conducted a walk through and advised I would receive new carpet, as the carpet was cut too small when it got on the lot, and would be cut more before they moved the house to my property. The carpet is way too short and was addressed in my initial complaint to the BBB on 09/07/2022. Home Boys GM did not dispute the carpet in that response. Instead, he apologized for dropping the ball and advised it would be resolved. I did a quote for the same carpet at *********** Without the carpet pad, the estimate is $3,715.83 (with carpet pad, the quote is over $5,000; however, **** told me he would just be replacing the carpet) with similar carpet to what we have now. The carpet was not disputed in your original BBB response, or when I spoke with the new Service Manager via email (I believe BBB has a copy of those emails from my current complaint.)

      At the time you offered to give us $500 to replace the fridge, the Frigidaire Model FFHX2325TEO, **** cubic foot side by side refrigerator was at ********** for $549 and I had a 10% discount as it was being discontinued. When conducting a search for a similar fridge today, I found a Frigidaire side-by-side **** cubic foot for $1198. This is due to inflation. Your house prices have raised significantly since 2019 due to inflation, just as everything else has. If you had paid the $500 for the fridge 3+ years ago, the $500 would have been fair. 

      I will need to purchase exterior paint ($135.00), and (8) 4" x 8' trim pieces for the siding ($100.56). The cost of the fridge, carpet, trim pieces and paint alone is $5,149.39. Sales tax at 9% is $463.45 with a subtotal of $5,612.84. This total does not include caulking, nails, paint supplies (brushes/rollers) contractor fees, traveling fees 50+ miles one-way to get the parts we need, etc. I thought $6,000 was generous, since my out-of-pocket expenses will be much more than $6,000 to finish completing all repairs that you have failed to complete. 

      To resolve this complaint, I am requesting that you send the $6,000 settlement via Cashier's check within the next 10 business days to: ***********************, PO Box 53, *********, ** 99040.
