Business ProfileforLittle House Trailers Company

Signed an agreement in August 2022. Paid last fee in November 2022 and was told trailer would be done in 6 months. Then I didn't hear any updates until November 2023 when ******* told me he is now operating out of his home. I was willing to give him another chance, but he does not respond to any texts or emails or send me progress updates on the trialer.I decided when this phase of the process (there are 3 phases, this is phase 2) would complete, I would pay that and be done with it. He told me I could end the agreement at any time and I'm not comfortable going to his house either. So I tried to ask him today to add my deposit to the invoice ($11K) and I'll pay it and be done. He is telling me he will take my money and will not apply my deposit to the invoice. Note, he is asking for over $20K and has not shown me any pictures of the work yet.I just want to pay him the 20K - my $11K deposit and be done with it but he is keeping my deposit and trailers and I have no idea what to do now. The other weird thing is the invoice has a different business name on it, like he's not even using the same company I agreed to work with in the beginning? Maybe that business filed bankruptcy? The invoice he sent me today is from "Three Point One Four, LLC" which I don't feel comfortable paying just because it's not even the company I was working with to begin with. It's all smelling really fishy. Please help me
