I have been suffering from debilitating foot pain since late 2022 and was so hopeful when I initially visited ************** in January 2023. Unfortunately, January through March resulted in continued pain in my foot and I was not listened to by the doctors or physical therapy staff. I attended up to two physical therapy sessions each week and did my PT homework at home. At times my pain level went down to a 6/10 but was consistently between 7-10/10. Unfortunately, during my last appointment with ******************** in March 2023, he said I would need to "wait it out" and that the pain would be more manageable after I asked if there was anything else we could do. He offered me to try his personal calf stretching equipment and said it helped him so it would help me get back on my feet. I was bewildered as to why a doctor would not want to listen to me when I advocated for myself, asking for more testing to be done and asking for a solid treatment plan. His pain is not my pain, his treatment plan is not my treatment plan. I ultimately had to travel out of state to the *********** the week of May 2022 to get the proper MRI, diagnosis, and treatment plan. Based on the ***********'s findings I have had a torn tendon since at least November 2022 and now I have a solid treatment plan of surgery to relieve my pain. It is completely unacceptable I had to spend thousands of dollars to travel out of state to be believed by a team of doctors and to actually get the care I deserve.
