I hired KC Landscaping and Outdoor Lighting to put up and take down my Christmas lights. I found the business through the ***** website. He put up the Christmas lights on 11/27/23 and was paid in full $200 with an agreement to return to take the lights down. I contacted KC landscaping on 1/5/24 to schedule a time to have the lights taken down. The business owner stated that they would come to take the lights down on 1/30/24. The business owner never showed up. I texted on 1/30/24 to reschedule and received no reply. I then called the business and left messages asking to reschedule on 2/1/24, 2/4/24, 2/10/24, 2/12/24, and finally called on 2/19/24 after receiving a citation from my HOA for being out of compliance with my HOA guidelines for Christmas lighting. I then sent a written text to KC Landscaping asking for a refund of $100 given that they only completed half of the agreed upon job. I have received no contact from the business, nor a refund. I understand that it is unlikely to receive a refund, however I think it is important that other customers are aware of the unethical business practices of this company.
