Plumber came out very late at night to verify our pipes were frozen at the main line owned by the city, so we would know next steps.They told us it was definitely frozen at main line and they were going to try a few things to see if they could get it unfrozen. Used a heat gun on city owned pipes (which theyre now denying) and pipe burst. They are also now saying pipe had already burst before they got there and water was all over. Mgr said theyd never use a heat gun near water. If that was true we wouldnt even know the term heat gun. We paid them (we were out of the country) and then they left with the city owned pipe burst, water pouring out (they couldnt shut it off had to be water company) and gave us no one to call or what we should do as 9pm on a Sat, Jan 13th (midnight where we were). Theyre claiming they never used a heat gun it had already burst. Not true. Also someone dropped the heavy metal lid on our water meter, breaking that as well. Now have a burst main pipe and still no water. We paid the bill (deciding it was 1am and wed wait to get bill adjusted in Monday ) & asked for plumbers managers contact info. Called her no answer. Although plumber had just got off phone with manager. Called 3 times Sunday leaving voicemails. Called Sun when I got back to Wa state & got receptionist who said mgr was on the phone but she would tell her urgent to return my call. She did not. Finally called Tues the 16th, denied they used heat gun, refused any sort of credit to bill-they left us with a burst main pipe. No contact info at midnight, and still no water, so basically a worse problem than before they came. They claim zero responsibility. Plumbers are not to ever work in a city owned main line due to liability. I asked for an adjustment on bill and the manager hung up on me. So unprofessional. She also stated all our calls were recorded that night (which is against the law unless they disclose that & they did not).
