On January 12, 2024, I received an email telling to me to sign a document electronically. The letter states that they have resolved all medical bills, that I would assume the risk of unpaid bills, and that I was told the settlement regarding an accident in 2020 was potentially taxable. These statements are untrue.Phillips Law Firm arranged for chiropractic treatment. They have not negotiate the bill down and have not settled the bill, reduced or not. They also explicitly told me that the settlement was not taxable. If it were, then I would not only receive no net amount of money - I would owe money. In that case, their contingency fee should not be *****% of zero dollars. Regarding the chiropractic bill, the office manager (*********************************) stated the options were to send a check (****** it is the right address and that someone cashes it someday) or to figure it out myself. Both options are unacceptable. A law firm should have the resources to figure it out. Furthermore, it is unconscionable to expect me to sign a document assuming responsibility for unpaid bills and possible tax debts.I would like them to assign my case to someone who has interpersonal and problem solving skills, so that the bills are settled. I also should not have to deal with the office manager who behaves like a used car dealer and says outlandish things. I also expect any settlement distribution letters to accurately reflect what I was told and what happened, instead of just releasing the fee they want and absolving them of all responsibility for finishing the job. If they do not have the resources or problem solving skills to address this appropriately, they should waive a large part of their fee so I can hire someone else to do the job they were hired to complete.

I contacted Philips Law Firm after a workplace injury that caused me to go on light duty and then fully out of work. Their manager spoke by phone and said he would pass me off to a lawyer. He had me sign a contract via DocuSign. I received a voicemail from a paralegal telling me to call her back and leave a message as to days and times we could talk by phone the following week. I did this and the paralegal never communicated with me at all the following week. Messages went unanswered. During this time I received a series of correspondence from my HR regarding serious issues. *********** was AWOL. Im being forced back to light duty by the employer or I will only be paid $54.28 per day! Who can live on that? I emailed their manager today and told him to send me the documents to cancel our contract. *********** has done nothing to help me and I have ZERO confidence in them. They are unprofessional and I wish I would have come here to the BBB first to read all these complaints.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I would like a letter from the firm on their letterhead that states what they replied here. A PDF of that letter via email attachment will work for me.

I hired phillips law firm after being hit by a vehicle while riding my bicycle .4 years have gone by and I'm still waiting for my settlement check after it was settled August 8th of 2023. Every time I ask why I haven't been paid yet they tell me there waiting for the check or for the check to clear. The check is from a national insurance company and they don't write bad checks, they lie about dates, never communicate or return calls. The witness to the accident was never contacted for a statement and I have been left with accepting a small settlement. I collected all my own records, bills and contacted the witness and they did nothing. Phillips law firm is the worst law firm that I have ever had to deal with. I'm the victim of the accident and have not been able to return to the career I previously had. I have been switched over and over to different attorneys and the Para legal talks so bad about the attorneys and she is accutaly the person that is lying to me about who is dragging this out. I know it doesn't take months for checks to be released and it doesn't take 7 days for checks to clear. I have contacted the bar association and they will be dealing with legal repercussions. They are the worst law firm in ****************. I recommend people who need an attorney to research the firm before hiring. I'm still waiting for my settlement check. Thanks for your time and attention in this matter. Please let the world know how unprofessional this law firm is.

My medical malpractice case was accepted by ************************ on 10/10/2022.Since then the enclosed letter has been the only communication from the firm. There have been no introductions by *********************** or his team, updates on the status of my case or an invitation for an interview. On the above dates (5/8/23,5/15/23,5/26/23) I sent emails to **************************, my contact person. The appointment was rescheduled for 6/5/23 @ 1:00. She called at 1:15.

I had asked for an attorney contact before 9/12/23, instead I received a call from the operations manager (*******) He suggested I look for a different attorney, if I was dissatisfied with the services of the firm. He did schedule the phone appointment for 9/21/23. To me there has been no resolution until I speak with the attorney on 9/21/23

It is now July 2023 and ******************* has refused to answer emails from April 2023. I have requested documentation to support his statements since his numbers differ from what others at Phillips said. I have also asked for other information from my file, including the name of the supervising attorney. All of them refuse to say which attorney is supervising my case. I did not receive the information I requested. I don't even know that an attorney is working on my case at all.

I was injured as a pedestrian hit by a motor vehicle in December of 2021. I was initially ignored by my insurance company (Nationwide) for several months while trying to treat and have my medical bills paid by my insurance company. My wife and I hired Phillips Law Firm to help with multiple issues on my case and to ensure my bills would be paid. My wife and I tried several times with phone calls and emails to help Phillips understand that my bills are not being paid and that this is resulting in treatment delay or no treatment. I am out of pocket on bills now and finally at a point where I can make arrangements for treatment and ready for a new round of bills. I have a disability now from this accident and am having to sell things to ensure I have money for treatment without jeopardizing our home or putting ** in a position to lose it or not pay other bills. We repeatedly let the office coordinator and the lead case manager assigned to my case know that bills are not being paid and that my insurance is operating in bad faith. I wait months to be seen by a specialist and it gets cancelled because no authorization is approved. Phillips does not communicate. Despite my troubles with them, I get the occasional email asking if I am still treating. On 3/14/23 I received a call wanting a treatment update. Our emails and calls from last year (09/22) go unanswered and I finally get a voice mail for treatment status. I haven't heard from them since. Don't seem really interested if I am treating or still alive. I believe they take your case and sit on it with little to no work. They are burning through my treatment months by not helping and are severely hindering my case. I have yet to hear who my attorney is with them despite asking them on the phone who they are. I am in serious trouble and am hurting all the time. I am scared for the decline my body has taken and scared for what I am leaving my wife to have to deal with. Phillips needs to release me without lien on my case.

I was in a car accident February 2020 and contacted phillips law to help me with the settlement. We have been at this for over two years and they keep telling me 4-6 more weeks over and over again until this is done. I barley ever hear any updates on the case unless I call and email over and over again. My settlement after they take their cut is supposed to be *****. I just want to be done with this and get on with my life.

I am rejecting this response because: at the moment I am not happy at all. I reached out to the insurance company that is holding up my claim and they said that they have made several attempts to finish this up and told phillips law firm that I need to submit an incident report, but none of this was relayed to me and now it has possibly held up the whole ordeal another 30 days.

      Sincerely,

In March of 2017 I hired Phillips Law firm in *********** ** to represent me after a Vehicle accident, I ended up needing surgery to repair a torn tendon in my left Shoulder, I have been repeatedly forgotten about throughout the entire process. I was in arbitration in January 2022 and Mediation in April 2022, after talking to my attorney ********************* we decided to take the lawsuit to court in April 2022. After not hearing from Phillips law firm and no one returning emails or calls i finely got ahold of *********************** who told me the case had been settled for $100,000.00 without my notice or approval, and my attorney had been fired and my case had not been reassigned. ***** also told me the case was in the settlement department and he had no way of getting the case to be a priority, I continued to contact the Phillips law office but now they are not returning my phone calls or emails, ***** told me that he would bring the case to the managers meeting and get back to me on December 19th, ***************************************** also. I trusted Phillips Law Firm to help me get a fair settlement, I feel that they got their 30% off the top and tossed me aside.

I have sent emails I've left voicemails I have not got anybody to contact me back I've had to get nasty on the phone just to get someone to answer what's going on with my case.
