    We informed the company that we would need to terminate our contract in December 2024 to move into our new home. Initially, we requested a 6-month contract, which management had verbally agreed to, but we were instead required to sign a 9-month contract. Currently, their website lists options for 3, 6, 9, and 12-month contracts.Upon notifying them of our intention to break the lease, we were advised that we would be responsible for the remaining 4 months of rent until the apartment was re-leased, as well as the final water, sewer, and garbage bill. Manager and the maintenance manager stated that our deposit would be used for cleaning, with the remainder kept by them. ************ January 2025, I received a bill including charges for cleaning, painting, and repairs for issues that had been previously reported but not resolved. They retained our $675 deposit and charged $244.50 for cleaning, $500 for painting, $172.50 for cupboard hinge repairs that existed upon our move-in, and $124.07 for repairing a leaking shower that was reported to maintenance in 2023 but never addressed. Contrary to what we were told, the deposit was not applied to any of these fees, and we were billed an additional $1,041.07 for repairs and cleaning, despite the professional cleaning service we hired and informed the apartment managers about.The apartment was only listed for rent on January 15, 2025. We agree with the charges of $123.36 for water and sewer and $773.00 for January rent, totaling $896.36. However, we contest the additional $1,814.07, which includes the disputed cleaning and repair fees. These repairs were never addressed during our tenancy despite being reported. The bill also includes charges for February rent. Their billing system does not allow partial payments, making it impossible to pay only the agreed-upon charges without settling the entire amount. I agree to pay for February, March and April but only during those months that the apartment doesnt rent.

    I have put in 5 maintenance requests starting March 8 and nothing has been done. The front door has a code that they will not give me on a 10 second auto lock and *** told them repeatedly that Im uncomfortable that someone has access to the house and I dont have that access. They stated they would install a wifi coax cable as it was remodeled without one and have refused to do so. A closet door was not properly installed and I have sent numerous photos showing the missing hardware and it fell on me- still not fixed. Further, two cabinets in the kitchen came loose through regular use and improper installation and are now sitting on the floor and have not been fixed. I behave putting in work orders March 8 and moved in Feb 15. They also sent a utility bill that charged electricity for shared spaces and I asked for a detailed breakdown as we do not have shared spaces and have not received a detailed breakdown as requested. Ive been extremely reasonable but this is getting out of hand

    Jevons Property Management listed an apartment on a apartment listing app with photos attached to the advertisement. The photos intentionally misrepresented everything about the actual apartment listing. The photos displayed the apartment as being somewhere else entirely (if you look at what is outside the window), as well as the size of the fixtures in the apartment and the overall quality of the apartment (apartment was infested with vermin, appliances were in a state of severe disrepair and werent new as displayed, etc.). The management company then requested that I pay an application fee for the property. I applied and was immediately approved. I was working 14 hours a day, six days a week and did not have the time to visit the property first. I relied on the photos. Nonetheless, a $59 fee was charged to my card for the application I submitted. I only submitted the application because of the photos that were intentionally misleading. If you look at the photos, photoshop an/or another program has been used to distort the frame of the image such that the items in the apartment appear larger/longer. Attached is a photo of the bathroom, which is intentionally displayed as being much larger. The advertisement claimed that the unit had been newly remodeled. That is not what I encountered when I got to the apartment for the self-guided viewing. The apartment was much, much smaller than what was pictured, and there were large roaches strewn about the floor and appliances. The washer and dryer were in a disgusting state of disrepair. The stove was rusted and unusable. The refrigerator was filthy. None of the appliances were new and/or in usable condition. The apartment was not as pictured at all. It became clear that the listing was intentional fraud and that the photos were an attempt to gain funds from application fees while the realtor waited for someone dumb enough to rent the property after viewing it. I requested a refund, but the company refused.

    They did not cancel their electricity under my name for 5 months after I moved out. I was sent to collections and am just now as of yesterday finding out about this. They have not contacted or emailed me back.

    Previous tenant of on of the studio properties. Dirty, Overpriced, has mold growths that can't be cleaned out and is a fire hazard based on appliances from the 70s. Got the old stove explode in my face a couple of times. No proper ventilation, and the landlord + property management blatantly lie to your face and charge you for made up stuff, never renovate after the previous tenant and then charge you previous tenant damages. used me to get money to renovate the apartment from 2 tenants before me. Grabbed whole of my initial security deposit. And charged $600 more on top. When asked to provide an itemized receipt for all the work done, I have been ignored for 2 months and then my case was (without a resolution to my case first) handed over to the collection agency. I have completely cleaned the apartment before move out and still got charged for cleaning, got charged for wall painting a studio apartment for around $700 again when asked to provide at itemized bill, got ghosted my the company. Got charged despite stating multiple times before move out that I require to be present on a move out inspection and again got ignored. Got charged for lawn maintenance after move out, the apartment does not have a lawn and has only dirt not even a paved path to the apartment. Maintenance team is incompetent, when asked to fix the fireballs coming from my stove got a response "you can go to the hardware shop and get some epoxy and do it yourself". When asked to install new appliances been denied by the landlord.

    dispute these damages. The Residential Landlord-Tenant Act states that the tenants are not liable for certain things, such as normal wear and tear, damage caused by third parties, damage that existed when I moved in, or unreasonable charges. We also vacated the premises on 12/27/23. As per RCW 59.18.280 (2) requires a written notice within the statutory period. Jevons property management is attempting to evade the law by providing such communique requiring estimates as a basis for retaining my deposit. Jevons continues to fail to communicate via phone or email to inform me of accurate billing. I have been told that the will provide accurate and correct invoices that i have yet to receive. At this point I am asking for the immediate return of my security deposit of $2615.

    So my husband and I put in apartment applications for an apartment through jevons with my ************* I got a text from a ***** that if we got denied would we be interested in other properties they had available. We said yes. Well we got denied due to my ************* credit score. They said we could apply for other places for just my husband and I. Well after taking our $100 for the application they tell us were denied due to my ************* credit even though we didnt want him staying with us at the 2nd place we applied for and I told them that. Well they still denied us even though we met their requirements. They then said we wouldnt be able to go through jevons PERIOD until my ************ gets his credit score up. Because they assumed we would sneak him in even though they said we could try again. They then took my $100 even though they knew we wouldnt get accepted. Anyway I tried asking for a refund. I have called them several times and left them SEVERAL voicemails and emails and havent heard ANYTHING back. I am just extremely upset because they knew the rules and they told me some itching different so I spend $100 for another application and they ripped me off and I cant get ahold of them now. I have emailed them about 12 times and called 7 times. I havent gotten my refund back, no email back, no call back and they just forward my call every time I call.

    My family has been renting from Jevons since August of 2019. We originally paid $850 a month to live here in a two bedroom in the ghetto. Since we moved in, we've renewed our lease twice. We now pay $895 to live in the same apartment we originally leased.When we moved in, I remarked about how there was a lot of rust coming out of the faucets. We were told that it's because the pipes were old. This seemed odd and I asked if it could be our water heater. We were told no; the pipes were just old as it's an old building.Fast forward to September 9, 2021. Our water heater had been leaking all through the night and I didn't see it until the morning. They took their time repairing the damage the water had caused. The plumbers who replaced the water heater told me it was extremely old and not even up to code. So this was on Jevons.In December of 2021, my two year old was sick for a month straight. We had taken him to doctors who kept giving him steroids for his lungs that weren't even helping. On January 22, 2022, we found mold growing inside the wall where it had gotten water damage.I notified Jevons that we needed this fixed. They have been giving all kinds of excuses and sending out people to look at my windows. Three times has someone come out to measure our windows and look at them again. Yet, nothing has been done. My son and I are still getting sick. I'm currently very sick and need to get xrays on my chest done to see if mold has taken root inside. My husband has missed work from being sick from this. My daughter has missed school. I have missed school and I'm in college on financial aid. If I miss anymore, they'll kick me out.This is an outrage that I even have to say anything on here. But something has to get these people's attention. We need livable living conditions or to be excused from our lease with our deposit.
