      We found a sectional at *********** but wanted to support our local VanVreedes so we purchased it from there despite the fact that *********** would have been just a few $ cheaper. The problem came when we received the couch and learned that *********** had incorrectly advertised the length of it both online and on the tag inside their store. Thus, it was too large and did not fit. We went to VanVreedes, explained that we chose them over ***********, hoped they would consider that and extend a favor, and asked if we could please return it (in brand new condition, tags still on, only unwrapped but still had all the packaging to wrap it back up) and purchase something that would fit the space. They agreed to do so but for a 20% restocking fee. I understand that the mistake in advertising was not theirs and while I was hopeful that they would be amazing in the situation and accept the return at no additional cost, I can also understand their 20% restocking fee policy. This is not where my disappointment with VanVreedes lies. While the associate at the counter who took all the information regarding our situation was kind and genuinely seemed to want to help, the manager in the nearby office with whom she spoke to while I sat at the desk listening to every word of their conversation was far less than kind. A rude tone in questions of Well what are we going to do with it? and What does it even look like? made me feel like nothing more than a bothersome shopper looking to unload an unwanted couch rather than a valued customer who chose their store over another one which inadvertently led me to the problem at hand. (If we had purchased it at *********** they would have accepted the return since it was their mistake in advertising to start with.) Had the manager stepped out of his office to show some sympathy to me for our unfortunate situation, Id feel a bit differently. However, his lack of customer service has helped us decide to NOT choose VanVreedes in the future.

Your loyalty means a great deal to us.We want to first acknowledge the frustration that comes with purchasing a piece of furniture only to find it doesnt fit your space, especially when the error originated from another retailers listing. We do have a restocking policy in place to cover return logistics and restaging to sell open products, this was a special order and we do not that carry this product on any of our floors which in return why the 20% restock was offered. Its also worth noting that your pickup was completed back on January 28th, 2025. Under normal circumstances, a return wouldnt be possible this far out, but we made an exception because we recognized the unique situation and wanted to extend a fair solution..We also want to apologize for how the interaction with our manager made you feel. That is not the experience we aim to provide, and were truly sorry if the tone or approach came across as anything less than respectful or understanding. Its clear you were simply trying to find a reasonable solution, and your feedback about the way that was handled is being taken ************ of now, were still happy to work with you on an exchange as previously discussed, and we havent heard back. If youre still considering this option, wed be glad to help find something that better fits your space and make this right to the best of our ability.We value your feedback and hope we can have another chance in the future to offer the level of service you expect and deserve.Thank You

      Horrible Customer Service. They do not stand behind their products. My 90 year old mother bought a refrigerator 2 years ago and t h e compressor has already quit. They couldnt get anyone out to her for 1 week. Really??? By then everything in the fridge and freezer would be spoiled. A different company came and looked at it and told her it was the compressor. Van Vreedes pretty much told her, sorry but.... Run away from this company. They are horrible. An expensive refrigerator quits after only 2 years?

      We bought an Electrolux dryer with pedestal base back on November 16th. It's now February 2nd and we still don't have a working Dryer!!!!!! Salesman and Managers won't return phone calls. Even called the manager at the Greenbay location, had a very pleasant conversation with him and he assured me that he would elevate this to the right individual. A week passed and no call!!! We spent $1200 on this Dryer and the for doesn't seal and we have cycle the dryer twice just to get a load done. Unacceptable Van Vreede's!!! "Why shop anywhere else" here's a few reasons.....1- customer service, 2- lack of communication, 3- bad delivery that caused the damage, 4- horrible service team that has tried to repair the damage 4 times. We want out money back and no one will return my calls! Be better Van Vreede's!

      Unfortunately for Van Vreedes, I am more than dissatisfied with management and the service department. My 89 yr old parents purchased a refrigerator and stove. Three months after purchase the freezer stopped working and the fridge was not cooling. The same day the broiler on their new stove malfunctioned. The store manager said he could not replace this lemon but had to follow protocol instead of showing any concern for this issue. They were told Service couldnt arrive until 5 days later. REALLY! Then they were told that they would be at the top of the cancellation list. On their website they boast of the best appliance service center in the **********. What a joke! What are my parents supposed to do until Friday? Then the mgr said this happens every day. What kind of junk are they selling? If you want quality appliances and the best service department-SHOP ELSEWHERE!!

      Hello *****, I apologize for your parents having an issue with their appliances. I know our service manager did talk to your wife yesterday and was able to expedite their service call up to tomorrow. The warranty supplied by the manufacturer is a repair warranty and the first step is to diagnose what's going on. The manufacturer provides a Repair and not a Replace warranty. We must follow this process. We will come out to diagnose and fix at no expense to you or you parents. I will be speaking to everyone involved and I'm sorry for the inconvenience but we will get this issue resolved. Van Vreedes takes great pride in taking care of our customers and we have an A+ ******************** rating.

      I purchased a very expensive sectional 2 years ago. And purchased the fabric warranty. 2yrs later it has a wear spot it in and went through the process and was told to not say it was premature wear but an accident so I did. the company that they sell you the **** warranty through declined to fix it. At the end of the day the warranty is a bunch of **** I will not nor will I ever recommend Van Vreedes to anyone.

      I purchased a Fridgidaire refrigerator in August. On the day of install the replace water light went on and wouldnt go off. I called Vanvreedes and they sent out a tech. He ordered a part which took six months to come in. In the meantime the refrigerator started doing other things. Wouldnt connect to the WiFi. Displays blinking. Lights wont shut off. I called them and they told they not replace my brand new refrigerator until they tried to fix it. I spent over $3000 on this refrigerator. I dont want it fixed. I want a new working refrigerator. Now we wait for three more parts. This is ridiculous. I will never buy from them again and I will tell everyone I know not to either.

      I purchased a stove and refrigerator from Van Vreedes in Green Bay Wi. I had just purchased a home, at the time of the order we explained to the sales rep which way the refrigerator would open. At the time of delivery the handle was on the wrong side. I asked if the delivery reps could change it, they said it was not on the work order? We finished moving in a month and 1/2 later and per the store the handle can be easily moved. Well long story short it was not…. And per the Manager LG only Carry’s a one week warranty on cosmetics, and pushed my concerns off on LG… After they received over a $4,000 sale! I also advised that the refrigerator makes a loud nose when the ice machine kicks in. I have yet to hear back from the service Manager!!!! Very very disappointed and will make sure that every website that lists this company is aware of the customer service, and how the Service Manager, Steve has no compassion or consideration for his customers, as long as it don’t disrupt his paycheck. I will also be filing with LG. I have contacted a local company that is willing to call LG and see if they can get me some answers. And guess what they did Bot sell mr the appkiances. Van Vreedes is all about the dollar at the end of the day and not about standing behind there sales!!! Beware of this company!
