All vehicles go through inspection, the described issue, was not an issue at the time of sale. All vehicles are pre-owned, the term lemon is a new car term, we do not sell or deal in lemon vehicles.

The dealership had me waste, gas and money as they told me they had a number of a specific vehicle in their inventory, which they didnt, and also their claims about getting people vehicles, despite credit are unsubstantiated.

    Business Response

    Date: 12/02/2024

We are a dealer for the people, with a fast turning inventory, keeping the freshest vehicles for sale at all times. This does come with vehicles being sold quickly. While we carry 100 vehicles, we sell around 70 vehicles per month, some months even more! I recommend placing money down with a purchase contract on specific vehicles, to avoid vehicles being sold before making a decision. We also specialize in financing, and unlike buy here pay here dealerships, at Appleton Auto, we secure your financing through traditional lenders. Which is best for you the consumer, as the bank regulates the price of the vehicle, and evaluates the risk for you, also helping your credit, with on time payments.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear [You didnt respond to either of my complaints 1. That there were definitely a few Jeep Renegades on the lot and 2. When I found a suitable vehicle I was told I needed a substantial down payment or a co-signer not the advertised 7.99 and drive.]

    Regards,

We're sorry to hear you did not get the exact vehicle you wanted. Currently as of 12/3/2024, we have 2 Jeep Compass's and 1 Grand Cherokee available. As stated in last response, the only way to stop a vehicle from selling, is to do a purchase agreement. All vehicles will be sold on a first come first serve basis, unless agreement is signed. The vehicle described is very common, and in working with the store, (Not BBB) we would be happy to reach out, when the next Renegade(s) come in.

All terms for financing are *To approved credit

Vehicle is 2022 Nissian Altima.Purchased vehicle 10/12/2024. On day 2, heavy gas odor coming from the air vents. Brought vehicle to reputable mechanic who looked at vehicle, Cylinder 1 injector was determined to be flooded. Then it was also determined that the cabin air filter was not changed. The radiator coolant reservoir is still currently bone dry (which is affecting the total life of the vehicle)..I went there twice to speak with management/salesman. The first time was on 10/17/2024, spoke with ***** ******. Told him about all the issues and to look at the vehicle himself, declined. Was turned away with no resolution. Went there a 2nd time and they literally looked at me, turned around and never came back to acknowledge my presence. I drove 30miles one way for these issues. They said they did 150 point inspection, which is not true. If it were true, the radiatior coolant resevoir wouldn't have been Completely empty, the injector cylendar #1 would have been replaced.

I visited Appleton Auto today , 4/29/24 , to look into purchasing a vehicle. Amongst situations that are complaints against the employee the big one that stood out is the sharing of personal information in front of the dealership. From roughly 30 feet away , salesman *********************** proceeded to announce talking as loud as he could be to myself, my father , and everyone else in the dealership what my personal credit score was. Then proceeds to do this again after test driving a vehicle and talking about my credit , payment , etc while Im a good 30 feet or so away.

I purchased a vehicle from them in January of this year. When I got the vehicle, I was never told about the damages the vehicle had. They also never told me about the accidents this car was in, but still charged me way over the worth of the car. So in turn of trying to sell it, my loan is double what the car is worth because of never being told that it was in multiple accidents.

All vehicles at Appleton Auto have a clean title, no salvage, or insurance claim paid vehicles, as the lenders would not finance them. All pre-owned vehicles have a unique history. Some may have had minor damage, and repaired, some deer/animal collisions. Previous accidents on a vehicle, do not effect the **** or KBB value.

On September 6th, I was pre-approved for a vehicle at this organization and a appointment was set for the following day at 1:15 P.M. unfortunately I was unable to get there at that time so I tried to reschedule when I called and told the person on the other end that I could not make it, he asked me if I could get a ride and I said dont you think I already tried that. His response was F*** Off I did not want to help you in the first place. I am a 60 year old Veteran who served over 21 years in the Army and all I am trying to do is get another vehicle so I can get a job to support myself and some young man tells me to F*** Off

I came in as a co-signer for an auto loan for somebody else but this dealership lied to me and deceived me and now I see that I had been made into the buyer on the loan and the person who I came in there with to help purchase the car is listed as the car's co-signer. This seems illegal to me / fraudulent. Had I known I would be tricked the way that I was and turned into the purchaser, I never would have showed up to help this person get financing. I have my own car and was not looking to buy anything, only to cosign a loan for somebody else who needed help. When they say Everybody Rides at Appleton Auto, perhaps this is one of the ways that they find to get Everybody to Ride.

When signing up for an auto loan, the responsibility to pay back, and how that auto loan reports to the credit bureau, is not effected with which name appears 1st, on the paperwork. The loan is 50/50 responsible, both for credit, and to the bank for repayment.

** 9/23/23 I traded $1,000cash and my 06 **** explorer for a 2014 ***** traverse with 107k miles. ** day of purchase there was an engine light on and sales rep ******* had put gas in the light went out and stated there was nothing wrong and insisted I buy it. I feel he went and cleared it with a diagnostic tool. Since than which is 2 months I have put over $600 into the vehicle not including the money from my insurance company and I still don't have a vehicle to use as it's getting fixed. I tried calling the dealership and asking them to trade in my vehicle and they said it was too early which doesn't make sense. Also I believe he knew he sold me a faulty vehicle at the time of purchase when I had mentioned the check engine light being on and he went to put gas in and came back it was off. I have tried to clear this up with the dealership and get no help. I don't know what to do this is my first time I have ever been successful in my and been able to purchase a vehicle like this and then this happens to me. I feel very much taken advantage of known that they sold me a vehicle that was going to break down. I have missed a couple of tests from school because of this and work, plus I am a single mother. I don't have any of my documents right now as they are in my vehicle and that's at the shop. My vehicle has been in two different shops in the two months I have had it. The sale rep was ************ am not of his last name, but the signature on my paperwork is ******************* at APPLECARS LLC and the amount that was financed was;$18,569.85 for that amount I just feel like I shouldn't have to be sitting here texting this to the BBB whatsoever I have worked so hard to come as far as I have. Please help me I appreciate your time. Thank you. Respectfully *********************.
