Purchased two replacement doors in February 2024. Installation was botched by sub-contractors (who Anderson advertises are their employees). There was no lock provided or installed for five months. The handle came off in my hand the first day. After several subsequent efforts to make the door acceptable, they stated it is as good as it will be and offered me $3500 discount from the attached bill. When I declined, I was told there would be no ***** on the bill and I was expected to pay or go to collections. Statement and threatening email attached. I have asked for the door to be made to not wobble when shut or be replaced with one that does not. I was told by their service folks that that decision was up to the sales folks and nobody responded. I have offered to pay 1/2 of the $10,600 remaining and they have demanded full payment or collections. We paid more than double box store prices for an Anderson door based on their advertising of "owning the entire process". Now they threaten to void my warranty if I don't pay within a week. I am also engaging my attorney at this point. Their approach has caused me to not want to pay them anything further without a repair or replacement. Short of that, I believe I will litigate the entire purchase price.

    Good Morning,

Mr. ******** project was completed on 9-12, with services om 5/6, 7/8 and 9/12. We have sent Services Supervisors, along with Installation Managers to the **************** who have all concluded that the door is installed and is operating as it is designed to. Mr. ****** has been insistent that this style door should not be used as a front entry which is totally false. ******** has sold and installed many of this style as entry doors over the years and continue to today. We have tried diligently to work with Mr. ****** and offer a fair and equitable settlement, to which he refuses. We have a fully signed agreement with the ************** to deliver exactly what is on that agreement, and we have. Now we expect payment for services.
