Complaint against ********************************, aka JKL Roofing **** aka ******* *************** ************************************************************* ************ ************************** Proposal ****** $11,518.00 Install new roof, gutters, and downspouts $1,512.00 Install new gutter guards $13,030.00 Total Paid Contract date 8/11/20 Work done 9/1/20 Issues first noticed 6/19/21 I am seeking $2,575.00 reimbursement for money I had to pay to have another contractor repair a faulty install of gutters, downspouts, and gutter guard system by ******* ***************. I will return the previously installed RainDrop system upon receipt of a refund.The project was done Sept 2020. By June 2021 the 2nd story was 100% clogged, water was spewing over each end and pooling at the foundation while the 1st story had water cascading over the front. ******* came out, went on the 2nd story, removed a section of gutter guard and pulled out a wad of debris, releasing gallons of water that filled the gutter.A few weeks later the gutters were pulling away from the house. It took several days before ******* came to reattach them. For the 1st story he lowered the pitch so much that it was noticeably visible from the ground. I tried to contact him for a month before he answered. He finally came and said he would not touch the gutters unless he was paid more money.I also requested and ******* failed to provide product warranty information or his 5 year workmanship warranty which was in our contract. When I asked the name of the gutter guards so I could register, he said it was *********** when it is actually RainDrop. One of the first things the new contractor noticed was that there were no end caps on the system making my gutters a perfect place for birds to nest.******* was negligent in properly installing the gutters, downspouts and gutter guard system on my house. As a result I had to hire another contractor to service, repair defects, re-pitch and reattach the gutters, and install new gutter guards.
