            Called around looking for a boat. Nothing available anywhere. Finally Lake Country Marina answered the phone and they had a boat available. I said I'll take it! Paid $103.99 over the phone. No contract, not cancellation policy, no electronic agreement, nothing. Just took my credit card over the phone. That was June 2, 2021. Then tragedy struck my family, and we could not travel to Chetek as planned, so I called Lake Country Marina as soon as possible, several days in advance of the scheduled rental. I told them I would not be able to rent on the scheduled day, and they acknowledged that cancellation, and presumably rented the boat out to someone else. Weeks later I noticed they charged my credit card anyway. They would not refund. I never received a boat rental from them, and they took all my money anyway. I call that a scam. They never showed me a cancellation policy, there was no contract, they never directed me to a website with more information—nothing. Just took my money.
