I rent at *************** in ***************, **. N93W17678 ******************************************************************************I have autopay set up for my $1,400 rent that processes on the 2nd of every month. I paid rent a couple days early then turned off autopay. I was charged on autopay anyway. I contacted my property manager as well as her manager and my bank. I was instructed by property manager to have chase reverse the funds on the second charge, which I did. However, they (Morgenson) charged me an NSF fee of $100 which I refused to pay based on the fact that I was following their instructions to handle an overcharge that seems to be their fault They maintain that they cant do anything on their end in terms of payment, which may be true. However, I already paid my bank for the overdraft on my end and I fail to see how its my responsibility when its on their end.I was told that I wouldnt be able to pay on the online portal anymore due to a previous NSF within the last year. When pressed further it turns out it was an NSF from more than 2 years ago. I was later told by *****, the property managers manager that I could in fact pay online using the portal.So, March rent was due on the 2nd and Ive been watching both the portal and my bank account. Portal showed payment and every day Ive been checking and no funds were ever taken from my account as shown on the Chase app. I saw that this morning 3/6 that the Morgenson (property) app shows I have not paid rent and that I am now past due with 2 NSFs for a total of $1600. I asked the property manager in person if it had anything to do with the fact I was originally told I could not pay via the portal due to previous NSF even though they went back on that claim. She stated that no, it had nothing to do with that and I just contact my bank. Which I did and the banker at Germantown Chase confirmed that I had funds in my account and that theres no reason they should have reversed it her they did.
