Ever since covid started its been rough on everyone. People losing family members or having to put all there funds into taking care of someone that is ill. As of 2023 my health has declined and someone who is close to me had got into a vehicle accident and nearly died they should of never made it out alive. So after all the bad luck I had talked to a program to see if they could help with my disconnection. On one occasion that I had called xcel this lady was so terribly rude and unkind and very mouthy to me, I asked to speak to a supervisor, she went off on me telling me that I have no right to talk to a supervisor nor they do not allow it???!!! I told her that was a lie and she needed to get a different job then I hung up and took a minute to cool down and called back. This time I could not understand a word so I asked to speak to someone else, then finally I had got ahold of the credit department. I'll give you an example ( on a $2,500.00 bill they told the program that they needed $465.00 to stop disconnection in which they needed half to the whole amount t of the bill) so I had called yet again and asked why did they tell them such a little amount and the one lady had the nerve to say " Well ma'am this payment will get you through the weekend"???!! I was in total complete shock that they did that on purpose. So now because of all the unprofessional employees and the hundreds of calls I made to them and the attitudes I had received from them I told my family " I rather live without power then to have to go through all of this again"! They literally had me in tears because I was so frustrated and disgusted in xcel. In Wisconsin we an have all seasons in one week but yet xcel rather use their power in the wrong way. Some people/families are going through a rough time and because we are in the " lower- class or poor" I wonder if they walked in our shoes would they still be this horrible oh and thanks for the disconnection notice after the date it's to be shut off!

The access to my account on the Xcel's website is a nightmare. I am still trying to log in. I have to take an emergency international trip and I need to set automated payments because I do not know for how long I will be gone. Apparently, the "white screen" problem is so prevalent that the company has it listed under a "dial" number on their call menu, where they also list a few things to do before calling them. Among the things they suggest are: using a different browser or using their phone app instead of a browser on a computer. To be fair to Xcel Energy, they are not the only company asking for a different browser as a solution to their problem. I find this an afront to customer service. These companies should make their code work with any browser instead of having customers using one browser for each company they do business with. Also, I am at an age at which I do not see very well the apps on my phone so that "solution" does not work for me either. I called Xcel hoping I could get help and, after a long wait, I talked to someone who walked me through the same steps and recommending the same fixed that I listed above including some other minor browser settings. Though I am currently using the Firefox browser, which is among the ones they recommend, nothing worked. She checked with their IT department to see if she could issue a ticket to solve this problem and they told her no. Aparently, my problem is too minor for their attention. To be fair, the lady who tried to help me was very nice but had her hands tied by company's indifference and, might I add, lack of technical expertise. So my only solution now is to spend time downloading other Internet browsers in the hope that I can find one that works with the Xcel Energy's program. Being pressed for time, I might not be able to set automated payments though and I might miss payments for the first time in a lifetime. But who cares?

Ive been proactively trying to pay my electric bill, residential area of ***********, **. Last payment I made was on 09-06-2023. I havent received a bill in my mailbox ever since. I received one with incorrect individuals name with my exact address. Due to federal and state laws in place, I am unable to open the mail because the person its titled to is not me, even though its sent to my address. The person titled doesnt live with me at all, has never lived with me and I believe wasnt a previous occupant either. Paper billing mishaps happen, understandable. I tried reaching out through customer service number on regular business days and hours to no avail. I logged into my account through the app and the browser to see whats going on. Either option shows no outstanding balance which is objectively wrong since I still have the service on. To my further surprise, theres no service address on file associated with my account, even though I had it done and have been consistently paying my bills on time for my account number and the associated address. It is quite strange for a company to have customer data missing as well as them not attempting to charge/bill for services they provide. As a customer, I have been and am actively making several attempts to make payments. Id really like to know whats going on. I dont want to be charged late fees since none of this is happening because of my inaction or ill intentions. Someone form the company, please respond with a way for me to contact so I can PAY YOU the money owed without any further issues.

I discontinued service on September 13, 2023 on our home we sold. Since then we have been waiting to receive our credit amount. Each time I call the representatives give me a different response. Some say check is in the mail, others say it's 30 day wait or after the 30 day wait add another 10 days. It has been over 30 days and now into the another 10 days. Today the representative could only say it's coming sometime. How is it that they can hold a credit on your account for so long? It seems like a violation of contract for services when there is nothing due on the account.Big business .... Xcel Energy needs to have better communication and guidelines to return credits on the account. This is ridiculous and has far as I see it ... they owe me interest on holding my money.
