My husband ************************* and I have filed our taxes with incity tax for two years. This year we uploaded all required documents to the company portal on 3/1/2022 and we have documentation of that. We called inCity tax to confirm they had all information needed to file our taxes. We have documentation of our multiple phone calls attempting to follow up on our tax return status. After calling every day for two weeks on April 12th they let us know they needed more information. We provided them all requested information the same day. The receptionist told us our taxes were in review by **** and that they would be completed multiple times. We called every day after April 12th to follow up. The receptionist apologized, and let us know they were behind due to high volumes, internet and phone issues. They assured us our taxes would be complete and ready to file on April 18th by 5pm the due date. We called multiple times on April 18th to be told that **** was in meetings and had not reviewed our taxes yet. Finally after over 20 phone calls on April 18th they let us know our taxes were completed. When they returned our prepared taxes there were many critical errors. The taxes were filed in the wrong state (they wanted us to pay California taxes even though we didnt move until 2022) , they missed the sale of a home with capital gains. they failed to file taxes in South Carolina where we lived, they listed that we had multiple rental properties listing our residential home as a for profit rental. At this point we were panicking, trying to call, email and message the company to fix the issues. We were trying to either resolve the issues or file an extension, the receptionist promised us **** would call us and help but he never did. That evening we attempted to file an extension on our own but it was rejected and we didnt understand why. April 19th we called **** at incity tax, he yelled at us and told us we could file our own taxes, this was after asking for payment.
