    I ordered a full tint kit from ************************** upon receipt, I personally opened the tube of tint. I removed all tint and was missing my passenger door film for my C5 Corvette. I immediately emailed them, and was told that there is absolutely no way that it was missing as it is ran by a couple. There's absolutely no way they made a mistake and I or someone else must have damaged the tint which is why I am asking for my passenger door tint that I never got!! I asked for a refund, absolutely not! So now I'm stuck with a tint set that's missing a window! I have NEVER had a company that has treated a customer this way, and pointed all the blame on the recipient!

    The kit this person ordered contained 4 pieces of window tint, the backglass, 2 door windows, and a sunstrip.  Production records, both digital and video, show that all 4 pieces of window tint were cut, packaged, and shipped to this person.  Had the records or video shown that a single piece was missing we would have gladly sent him a replacement.  We keep extremely detailed records of every piece of tint we cut so we can look back and see exactly what was cut and shipped.  Unfortunately some people like to claim a piece was missing when they attempt to install it and damage a piece but don't want to purchase a replacement piece.  This is the reason we must keep very detailed records.  We are always happy to admit to and fix OUR mistakes when we make them, but will not be responsible for other peoples mistakes.

    Well, considering it's just me and my wife who run this entire business I do know exactly what is cut and shipped.  I'm not just some guy who answers emails and knows nothing about what's going on.  I personally cut the film, from the software.  I load the patterns. I cut the film.  My wife takes them from me right after each piece is cut and puts them on the packaging table, just a few feet from where they were cut.  She rolls them up, packages, and ships them.  She also watches the software to see what is coming and what needs to be cut.  We've been doing this for more than 20 years.  Things don't "just happen".  We keep very detailed records of what's been cut and shipped because one of the most common things people say is "I'm missing a piece".  Most likely because they damaged it while attempting to install it.  We do also have video records of the entire production procedure, we use those in cases of fraud and libel.  We're happy to present those to any authority or institution that may require those as evidence.


    Do you think someone at *** opened the item, removed just that one window, put everything else back in the tube nice and neat, then re-stapled the caps?  If you think that happened maybe you should file a claim with ***.  We'd happily cooperate with *** on the claim.  If the claim is paid we would happily send you a complete new kit.


    Nobody is calling you a liar.  I'm just stating for a fact that the package contained 4 pieces of tint when it left here.  Mentioning that the driver side is red was only for reference.  The passenger side is black on the record.  The backglass is black.  The suntrip is black.


    If something happened to the passenger side window you are welcome to purchase a replacement piece here, ***********************************************************************

    I used them twice. The last time I used them, on March 13t, my order was #*****. I received a piece of tint for my back glass that was precut. When I got it in, it wasn't cut all the way through and torn the tint during application after following their application instructions. After a troublesome way to contact customer support they did everything they could to dodge their manufacturers warranty claim. They sent five return emails trying to blame me for their shotty workmanship instead of replacing a few cents worth of film.

    When asked if the excess film was still on the liner when the tint tore, as you were removing it, you said YES.

    The very first step in the instructions is to remove the excess film from standard cut kits.

    The pictures you sent also shows that the excess film was still on the liner and that you had pulled the pattern from the clear liner.  Again, this goes against the instructions for proper handling.

    Then you kept mention a warranty to protects against this.  There is not a warranty that protects against improper handling or damage caused by improper installation.  The warranty does not include any protection against ripping or tearing.  The warranty also does not take affect until 90 days AFTER installation.  I had told you 30 through email, but I was wrong.  It's 90 days.  You don't even have it installed and you destroyed it.

    Then you threatened us with all sorts of negative reviews if we did not send you more items for free.  Which is, by definition, extortion.

    Anyway.  From the emails and the pictures it was clear you did not follow the instructions and damaged your film as a result.  You must follow the instructions to avoid damaging your film.

    For those who are reading this, we have included pictures of the warranty, and also of the warning page sent with every kit warning you of damage that *** be caused by not following the instructions.  

    Please do not blame the vendor or the product for damages caused by mishandling the film or improper installation.

    The tint was not cut properly when I received it. It is clear that Northern tint is trying to sell subquality product for full price and accepting zero responsibility for bad workmanship. They use disclaimers to avoid replacing product that should not be sellable or not to an acceptable standard. Then they accused me in an email response of extortion. This is clearly a tactic to scare off any unhappy costumers. I do not need to extort a company for three cents worth of product. This is bad work and they expect me to pay for it instead of handling it themselves in house.

    The instructional page, and website pages, warn you that ripping or tearing of the film can happen if you do not follow the instructions.  There is a warning wrapped up with the tint that you see when you unroll your tint.  Telling you that you must follow the instructions to avoid ripping or tearing your tint.  It's the first thing you see when you open your tint.  We also provide you with video demonstrations on how to properly handle your tint so it doesn't rip.

    We are not responsible for people who damage their items by not following the instructions provided to them.

    On 2-23-24 made an order which they confirmed via email, charged to my credit card but not received. I asked for a refund because my order was not received and they have not responded to my request and still no product has been delivered.

    I purchased a complete tint kit for a 2019 Ridgeline. I started installing the kit from the rear of vehicle. The back window was perfect, the drivers rear door window was perfect and then I started on the passenger rear door window where I trusted that this kit would be perfect. Well I was wrong, they sent me 2 drivers rear door windows and no passenger rear door windows. So I contacted them by email and was told that they looked in their records and know they sent the correct pieces and that I could purchase that 1 piece again if I wanted. I replied to that email telling them it's not my fault they sent the wrong piece, and then I received a rude email in return! I was told once again that they sent all the correct pieces, and I wasn't following their policies because I did not receive what I paid for?? That does not make any sense. I asked them if they were going to fix this problem and they told me their was nothing to fix! They told me the only thing I can do is to buy that piece all over again! I was expecting that this company would correct their wrong and make things right but as you can see by the other complaints on BBB, the companies replies show that they never own up to making mistakes or fixing issues. The only thing I wanted was them to send me the correct 1 piece. No money, just the piece that they didn't send. Unfortunately I had to pay for that piece because I have a vehicle that has 1 window with no tint on it. The whole kit was $75, and that one piece was $35.

    We keep very detailed production and shipping records for every piece of tint we cut.  For every kit.  For every order.  The correct pieces were cut and shipped.  There were no duplicates.  -- Customer either damaged a piece while installing it OR was trying to install it upside down.  This happens more than you might think.  We did ask the customer to return both pieces to us for inspection, though.  Customer refused.  If we make mistakes we always make them right.  If the customer makes a mistake then they are responsible to fix their mistake.

    Customer agreed to purchase policies when ordering this item.  Then doesn't want to follow any of the policies.  He threw pieces away instead of taking pictures or returning anything so we could see what was going on and advise him.

    Anyway, we have video of the kit being produced.  Video shows no duplicates being cut.  We have production records of the pattern loaded into the computer for cutting.  The pattern loaded has no duplicates.  There were no issues during production that would have caused any pieces to be cut twice.  Item was loaded, cut, and packaged.  All records show an accurate kit being produced and shipped correctly.

    Had we made a mistake we would have made it right.  Unfortunately, the customers we do send out replacements for, for whatever reason, don't go running to the BBB to praise us.  The only people that run to the BBB are people who didn't get what they wanted and were told no.

    We are always happy to help if there is a problem with the order or with shipping.  But we don't send out free items to fix your mistakes.  Sorry.

I did not refuse to send back the pieces but it's kind of impossible to take a piece of installed tint off a window without damaging it and somehow ship it back. And the piece that was thrown out, the duplicate piece, already had the backing off of it so please tell me how you are supposed to send those back. I was only asked to send those back, never was I asked to send pictures. I have not refused anything. I cannot satisfy something that is impossible. Also this was not a mistake on my part, and I did not attempt to install it upside down! Shame on this business for throwing blame where it doesn't belong.

    It's easy to return them.  You take them, put them in a box, and ship them back.  If you're worried about them sticking together then put some paper on the adhesive.  If we had made a mistake we would replace both pieces.  People always come up with reasons why they can't ship them back, though, when we haven't made a mistake and they are asked to prove that we have.   We can prove that we haven't made a mistake.

    I bought tint for my 2017 dodge 2500 about a week and a half ago. It was delivered fine and on time but when I opened the packaging tube the tint was in and pulled the tint out I found that every piece of tint had very visible scratches running across the whole length of the tint. The tint also had creases already in the tint and marks in some places like it wasnt handled carefully when being packaged. Ive tinted a few vehicles before but havent used northern tint and have never run into anything like this. I tried to wash the tint to see if it would get rid of some of the lines and it did not. I temporarily applied it to one of the windows to see if it would make a difference and it didnt. In fact all pieces of the tint had a rainbowish look to it like they had already been stressed and damaged. When I ordered the tint I selected precut true cut option so it would fit the window as close as possible, but when I lined the tint up with the window I found the the top of the tint wasnt a smooth continuos line but had divots and rips like it had been cut by hand poorly.

    I purchased this item on January 11 is when the transaction was posted i had provided the wrong address so I contacted them trying to change the address of the delivery but I couldn't get a hold of them they have no customer service no phone line only a email that they never seem to answer I finally got an answer after contacting you guys they changed the address they said but its been 5 days and haven't gotten a email confirmation or tracking number nor a response from them, *** website says that the tracking information for the package has been canceled by the sender and once again I tried getting ahold of Northern Tint to find out whats going on and once again no response. At this point I just want my money refunded!

    The label for his original shipping address had been canceled because he wanted it shipped to a different address after we had prepared his item for carrier pick up.  So we had to cancel the original shipping label and create a new shipping label with the new address.  He email us about tracking and we replied with the new tracking for his new address.  That item is out for delivery today.  When ordering things online, please have them shipped to an address you actually live at or can receive packages at.  Don't wait until the vender ships it then tell them you want it delivered to a different address.  Common sense, people.

    I was missing a piece of tint for the ** window. The response that I received was rude as they claimed Im trying to fraud them. Below is part of our correspondence with each other.Believe me it was there. Not only does the computer load both sides at the same time, in order to load only one side we have to manually select only one window. The computer loads all the windows at one time. Then, it feeds it through the cutting machine where both windows are cut at the same time. Then it passes through 2 people who watch for imperfections and other issues. It never would have passed through those 2 people if it was missing a window.Not only that, but we also keep records for every single piece of tint we cut. Because, sometimes, some people will damage a piece while handling or installing it and then claim it just wasn't there in attempt to avoid having to be responsible and pay for a replacement piece.We have the digital production records, which actually replays the process of the patterns being loaded and cut. So we can see exactly what was loaded and cut.Then we also have production/packaging video, which shows us the actual pattern being cut, who's cutting it, who's inspecting it, who's packaging it. We actually see the kit being cut, inspected, and packaged.So, yes, I know it was there and was not missing. We really don't appreciated people trying to defraud us.     This person has already replied to this for us with his complaint.  We do in-fact have production records and production video showing that every single piece of his tint kit was cut, packaged, and shipped.  If our records showed any piece missing we would have promptly sent him that piece.  But all records show it was included in the package.

    Saying a piece is missing is a common tactic some people use to try to avoid having to purchase a replacement piece for an item that they damaged while handling or installing it.  This is why we keep extremely detailed records of our production and packaging.

    We did offer him a link to where he could purchase the one piece he needed.  And provided him with a discount code.

    Unfortunately this was not satisfactory and he decided to go this route.

    This company is nothing but rude and ignorant to all consumers. They claimed they made my delivery which was a lie. I have a *** app loaded to my iPhone that indicates incoming and outgoing packages and I have no scheduled delivery. Seller uses email only for consumer confirmation. Seller was informed I didnt receive my package and upon concerned emails the seller became enraged ignorantly profiling me as a thief that I wanted free stuff. The seller shipped my items I paid for and its their responsibility to get the item to my front door and they have not. This company is ignorant and poor business practices. They are accountable for my item. They set up delivery not me and yet they claim my order was delivered. Spent $108.00 for nothing

    This is not ******************** shows the item as delivered and *** confirmed they delivered it to his front door.  ***** threatened fraudulent chargeback.  We notified him that filing a fraudulent chargeback is theft.  He claimed to be law-enforcement, therefore it wouldn't be fraud.  We informed him, that if he is a law enforcement officer, the he should know that just because someone steals from you doesn't make it ok to steal from someone else.

    If tracking is showing the item is delivered you *** wish to contact *** to see where they delivered it.  Sometimes they place packages in weird places to make the delivery more secure.  You could also ask your neighbors if they have seen a package with your name on it.  It's also possible that someone else saw the package and decided to take it.  All we can see is that the package was delivered.

    That's what it is.  You are responsible for providing a secure location for delivery.  If someone steals from you, does it make it ok to steal from someone else?  Mr. ****************** the item were lost or damaged during transit then we would be responsible.  But your package was delivered.  To your door.  So filing a chargeback stating it was never delivered in order to take the money we have received in order to provide this service for you would be theft by fraud.  Mr. ******* should know you can't steal from someone else just because someone stole from you.

    Anyway.

    The best way to resolve this would probably be for you to open a claim with ***.  You can do that here....  ***************************************************

    Mr. Officer should know that it's not ok to steal.
