I went into Elaines Wedding and Event Center with the bride and bridesmaid to buy our dresses. When getting sized the first employee was unsure about my hip and waist area, so she went to get another employee. They both came in and talked to each other and decided not to include me in and explain. I only heard them say no dont size up because They order a size six and when I went to try it on I did not fit in it. At the same time the seamstresses came in and told me she could not do anything and that I should work on my legs as well as hips, or to keep putting the dress on and it will stretch out. They also told me to wear spandex. We called back and talked to the store manager and she said that I could either buy a new dress or really there was nothing else I could do. My mom called after they called me to get a better understanding and the owner basically called me a liar saying I denied a size 10. I never said anything about a size 10 or saying no to ordering a size 10. When talking with the bride about the situation we both said what 20 year old is going to question a person measuring us well as a seamstress. I feel I should not have paid $200 something for a dress I cant even walk in or sit in. I felt the store handled this situation very poorly.
