I have agreed to borrow a loan in the amount of $500 and paid it off completely, but is still making payments and is set to pay them $2k in a year. I paid it off completely and I'm still paying over $100 a month?!? When the lender specifically told me that once I've paid off $500, they will close the loan.Business response

I took a loan from Evergreen Services. I emailed the company explaining a drastic change in my employment due to COVID/Delta, with a backed letter from my employer stating my hours and pay were cut by more than half. The company refuses to make changes to payment schedule or defer payment to end of note. Theyre unwilling to help those affected by the pandemic.Business response

I filed for a loan a few months ago for $250 at 48.38% interest. I did a digital signing since I did my application on their website. Now when I downloaded the agreement from their website the document they provided states the interest is 848.38% which wasn't what I agreed upon. But The Loan Shark Prevention Act is an amendment to the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), a 1968 law that requires lenders to disclose the terms of a loan to borrowers. It would add a new section to the TILA with these provisions: Nationwide Cap on Interest. The law would limit interest on all types of consumer loans. 848.38% is more than the federal limit and I did not agree to that. They are trying to force me to pay more than I owe which I've already paid my entire loan including the interest off completely.Business response
