Bad experience with Wolf over the range hood. We just spent about $70000 on Wolf/SubZero appliances as part of the kitchen remodeling. First of all, the wolf distributor in Maine had a hard time installing the appliances, took them weeks, seem as they don’t have staff who knows how to install these appliances. Then, they installed the over the range hood and it doesn’t work. I mean doesn’t work at all, supposedly, according to the technician, something is wrong with the electrical part of the hood. So we were told the distributor needs to order a part from Wolf and see if it would correct the issue and if not, then they would replace the hood. Now, it has been three weeks since they ordered a part, told us it will be 6-8 weeks for the part to arrive. Keep in mind that they are not 100% sure if replacing the part would fix the issue. So when they finally get the part and it does not work, they will have to order another good which will most likely take another 2 months! We asked why don’t you just order a new hood and replace this defective one, the distributor told us that Wolf does not allow it, Wolf wants to replace the part first and see if it helps. To me this means Wolf doesn’t care about the customer and customer’s needs, they do what they want without taking into consideration that it took us 5 months to remodel the kitchen during which we had no kitchen access and now the kitchen is ready and we still can’t use it fully because we don’t have a working hood! The technician front the distributor installed the hood, so it is hanging up there, but not covered with the parts that cover the inside mechanisms which constantly creates dust since the drywall is open to outside where the hood is mounted and this dust falls on top of the range. I’m afraid to use the range because of this dust getting into the food being cooked. Also, the plan is to create the marble cover around the steel/metal box of the food and now my marble fabricator will charge me for the delays!
