      On December 10, 2024, after suffering a medical emergency, I blacked out and crashed my truck in a ditch. Our insurance company deemed the truck a total loss. However, the auto body shop it was towed to, Tender Car, guaranteed me they could repair all the damage and return it to its original condition before the accident. We paid Tender Car $11,964.17 upfront for repairs and they picked up the truck on December 31, 2024. Its now been 13 weeks and the truck is still not repaired. Ive called, texted and even visited the shop on several occasions, only to receive more excuses and lies regarding the repairs. Two weeks ago, they finally gave me a loaner which is in terrible condition and I honestly fear for my life when I drive it. At this point, Im at a loss for what I can do to get my truck repaired and returned. Im looking for guidance to resolve this matter immediately. Thank you!

      In May, I had an accident with a hit-and-run. I took my vehicle to tender car for it to get fixed. We are in February. Myvehicle is not completely fixed. I am not receiving any calls from the owner anymore. They werent able to fix it in a couple months ago, they sent it to the dealer then there was a dispute between them and parts. Im still waiting on certain parts. They keep on giving me the runaround or they dont answer my calls when I go into the businessthey tell me its on back order. I didnt receive no paperwork from them in the beginning until I went back and demanded a receipt. The owner doesnt answer anymore. I reached out to the insurance company I needed help figuring out whats going on if my vehicle is gonna be completely fixed or not. Thenthe car was paid plenty of money through the insurance to complete my vehicle and its still in complete.

      Sorry **** it's been very hectic lately for our parts department. For 20 years we had the same guy and we've been through two employees already trying to do that job as he no longer works for the company. So now we made it possible at tender car for all of our managers to go ahead and order parts as that made the most sense for us. I believe we have your resonator if not I will order it right away, if there's anything else that you're missing let me know. I heard something about some rugs we have of yours a pile of them in our detail shop from throughout the years so I'm hoping yours may be there. If we do not have your rugs we could order them for you. It's just the front to I heard. We have many different kinds in the detail shop mostly from rental cars. I will fix this for you immediately. Please give me a call ************. Also so sorry there were issues, I'm not sure why insurance didn't just total your jeep in the first place. There were over 100 parts we had to replace on your car and the time period we had your car parts were on back order it was just a really bad time for the auto body parts industry. We at Tendercar feel horrible about what you had to go through and are sorry insurance didn't just total your car I was so surprised when they didn't. We actually lost a lot on your car too. The headlights alone were around five grand and the insurance had quoted us where to buy the headlights and at the end of the claim they decided not to pay for them and we could not return them so they're still sitting in the back of our shop. But we went ahead and paid the dealer bill so you could get your car back. I really am sorry about all the issues. Our Part guy was there when you came in and he did order everything for you. I do have your fuse box cover the resonator is not in yet. That's a part you really don't want to buy used and we just couldn't get one from the dealership at the time. I will look into if it's still coming or if we have to order you a new one and find one that we can get right away. Please text me if I don't answer my phone. We are actually just understaffed right now but we are working on it. Thank you for choosing tender car in the first place and again I'm sorry about how long it took there were just so many parts on your car and then some parts ended up missing when we sent it to the dealership. It was just issue after issue and if you have any issues in the future beyond what we're already doing please just let us know. You can stop in anytime at 1825 ******************.       Don't allow this guys to lure you in with "we pay your deductible!" Because what they should tell you is "we will mess up your car even more and never answer your calls or response to messages." This is my second time using this company and I should have learned from the first time. They left my rear lift gate misaligned after I questioned it they said there was nothing they could do. Then now the second time the door was hit and after repairs the door is misaligned and doesn't close or seal properly, there is over spray all over the place, the did horrible job repairing damage and the paint has tons of flaws. After they promised to fix it, they still don't return my calls, and the rental they promised seems to be not an option. They left the inside of my car full of dust. And to top it off they stole items from my car! Yes they pay up to $500 of your deductible and might get your car back faster than most places. But you won't be happy. This place is so unprofessional in every way possible. I will be finding a lawyer and having them pay another shop to fix what they screwed up and promised me!

      I am sorry for all the issues. I have had some blood clot issues after breaking my leg this winter but I just had surgery and I am trying to catch up with properly training my staff etc..       I discussed the option to drop my car off and dropped it off on Thursday, July 26th, 2024. I was told my car should be done by Monday, July 29th. After several attempts to communicate and get update, I didn't receive a response until Wednesday, July 31st when an employee called me regarding my BBB complaint and asked if they corrected everything if I would remove my complaints. I asked about the progress which at that time I am now being given more excuses and another date. And he said it would be done by this Friday, which is today August 2nd. But again no response other than yet again more excuses and the reply of, " well it might not get done this Friday"! The excuses and service is the worst of any and at this point it's becoming a real hassle. Yes they offered me a rental car, but it is not safe and I have 2 kids. The rental has check engine light, over heats, no air conditioning, tires are bald, brakes sequel, no windshield wipers, and to top it off there is an airbag light on. Totally a death trap I feel.

      We have the car now we are just waiting on Vendor to come in and remove glass. Also I called and Emailed Progressive to help him with a claim from two years ago. I also put him in a free rental why repairs are completed. Ive done everything to try and make him happy but he still doesn't seem pleased. He doesn't like the rental he is in so I even offered him to come here and ill switch it out.

      I have been given excuse after excuse, told that it was done and waiting for paint, and then after another 3 days of no response I finally talk to them today and the tail gate is not done. The glass has to be removed to be painted. And then I need to get approval but was told that it's been approved to fix everything as promised. It's not just the poor quality of work that was done, but as each day goes by, I don't get replies or a call back and when I finally do it's more excuses as to why my car is not done, and seems that the progress that I was told was done has not been done. I don't even. Know what is truthful anymore. As for the free rental that I was given; it is not safe to have my 2 children or myself in. The tires are bald, it had no wipers, the air conditioning blows hot air and it's been high temps. The check engine light is on, the high temp light comes on, and it has air bag light which means with all these safety issues that if I was in an accident that we would not be safe either. And yesterday I was told that only one tail light works. The front bumper is held on by 2 screws and flaps around when driving on highway to work. 

      Its not that I can't be pleased, it's that I am tired of the excuses, lies, unprofessionalism, lack of response. And most importantly, they have had my car for 35 days in total and was originally told at max 2 weeks. I would love to resolve this with TenderCar, but how can it be resolved when nothing is changing. And the first response to call or email to the information offered...I have yet to receive a response from that person either. Whom I think is the owner. How can a company operate in this manner? 

      All I ask is be truthful, responsible, and reply and keep me updated. But most importantly get my car back to me completed correctly and promptly!

      Yesterday I returned for what is now the 4rth time to get issues resolved. They attempted to align the door and fix only some of the paint blemishes. All they did was ask me to send them more photos and copy documents that I have. They are now saying that the fender is the issue and that I need to contact my insurance. Which I did today and am setting up an appointment for my insurance to review. But they acknowledged the fact that they said they did a 4 wheel alignment on my vehicle and after receiving the vehicle I took into shop to have an alignment done because they never did one even though they collected money for it. Also I pointed out that the interior trim was cut when they removed one of the windows and they blamed it on the window company which doesn't get me new trim. It's just one thing after another and yet again I have to bring my car back, drop off and be without my vehicle again for who knows how long. I demand reimbursement for the alignment, a new panel for the interior. And to get my fender aligned and ALL paint flaws addressed and fixed. I am attaching all new photos after car was picked up the last time.

      I was not able to reply to the letter received today from BBB. But my car has returned to TenderCar 5 times to try and fix issues. They do not return calls and I now have contacted almost every contact I have for TenderCar and don't have much luck. Between TenderCar and the insurance company, they just keep blaming each other and I am stuck in the middle to suffer and now pay out of pocket to take my car to another body shop to fix the issues of body alignment. At this current time I am just waiting on TenderCar to fix the rear interior panel that was cut/damaged during removal, and reimbursement for the alignment that they claimed to do but did not and I paid for an alignment after they claimed it was done and then later admitted that it was never done. They have offer to install the damaged trim on the front door once it is purchased. But as of now my calls are being avoided and no actual resolution has been made. Once the other body shop corrects the issues that TenderCar could not fix, I will be seeking reimbursement for my time and cost of repair. This company needs to just accept that they have destroyed my vehicle and rectify these issues and quit avoiding me.

      I have requested a letter from Tender Car for reimbursement for my rental car. In this letter i need it to state the dates they had the car, why it took so long for the repairs, dates the parts were order and received, the date the repairs were completed and the date the car was picked up. I have requested this letter to be sent to me as I would like to be the one to send it t the insurance company. I have emailed ************************* many times 6/10, 6/13, 6/25, 6/27, and 7/3. She did state she tried to call the insurance company but didnt get a call back this is why I requested the letter. The rental I was only paid for 10 day but I had the car for over 40 days due to the repairs taking that long. This company communication is very lacking. They take on more cars then they can handle. The service has been far then par. I am requesting this letter as the rental I am out 2000.

      Our Daughters car was stolen in May it was recovered and we had Tender Car tow it to their shop on May 20th. The insurance adjuster did a review of the damage and estimated it would take a hour of labor to repair the steering column and other minor needed repairs. We have been told numerous times it would be ready "This week Friday, Monday at the latest" We were told a week and half ago the parts had arrived and again were told it would be ready "Friday or Monday" Today is June 19th the car is sill not repaired. They rarely answer the phone and when they do you are disconnected often. They required us to sign over the check we got from our insurance company so they could purchase the parts that was more than 3 weeks ago. Even if we are able to make it to the location during their short office hours of 9-5 you are made to wait 45minutes to an hour to get any kind of help. The fact that they are not willing to communicate and keep using the same excuses is a problem.

      Tender Car received my car Jan 19th,and did not complete work until April 1st 2024. I had two separate estimates, one for $3,000, and another for $10,000. Aside from the fact that there was zero communication regarding completion dates. They called me at noon the day they finally finished my car.When I went to the 76th St Location, to pick it up and **** was busy on the phone, (he kept it on speaker, so I could hear the entire story of a different customer who had tried to pick up her car three times, but it was never ready, and no body knew what was going on. She was pissed).After getting my car from ********** reviewed the entire car, and pointed out chips and scratches in the paint (that was included in my estimate). He took pictures and told me it could be repaired. However, it was near 5p, and they were closing.On my drive home I also noticed my alignment was pulling to the right.The next day at work, someone pointed out a rear taillight was out. Also included in the estimate.I noticed assembled body parts, that I was able to properly snap in place. They used 2 sided tape to reattach a part that was broken.I am unclear what was painted due to said chips and scratches.Since April 2nd, I have attempted to work with both ****, and ******* to get these things repaired, but have been unable to get anywhere. For a month ******* told me she needed to talk to the owner, and every time I followed up, she had never followed through. I always had to call her, she would never call me back, and I realized she was screening my calls, after I blocked my caller ID, and she started answering my calls again.I even drove down to the ********* location to try and get help. **** reviewed my car, and agreed it should be fixed. Today is May 15th, and I have gotten nowhere with my problem. When I ask for firm work dates, how long it will take, and the ability to provide a loaner- due to their errors- they can never give me answers.

I am the owner and I'm sorry for the experience it is not how it is normally supposed to go but I have definitely been understaffed and the staff I do have is causing more problems than their fixing.       My car was hit march 2024 and I called Geico and then tender care a couple of days later they picked it up and now wont nobody get back in touch with me and I just want to pick up my car I keep talking to the owner but everybody there lie so much they keep giving me the run around this

      Tender Car received my vehicle on 11/13/2023. They have had my vehicle since to this date. Accident was on 11/11/2023 and we reported the accident to our car insurance. On 11/14/2023 State Farm assigned ab appraiser to prepare our estimate for Tender Car. On 11/16/2023, State Farms Appraiser summitted the initial estimate. On 12/01/2023 a revised damage estimate was submitted and approved. On 12/26/2023 another revised damage estimate was submitted and was approved by my car insurance. On January 4, 2024 Tender Car was issued a check for $13,553.40 to fix my car. At this time, I am not sure how much my car insurance has paid them now since they have submitted multiple revised damage estimates. It is now April 26, ********************************************* the beginning, I would call and get a promised date and when I call on that date, my car is not fixed yet and it's something else wrong. Now, when I call, I get a response of, let me look up the progress of your car in the computer, oh...it's not up to date. Let me call you back in 5 to 10 minutes while I walk over to check on your car and get no call backs. I get no updates. No one calls me. I just want my car fixed and back in my possession. I call every week since they always say, it'll be ready next week and by Thursday, I get no call that it will be ready for pick up, so I call to find out. I have spoken to a ****, **** (the owner) and another lady that works there but I can't remember her name.

      I have gone to the shop and my car was still not put together. This was on Thursday, May 9th 2024. I spoke directly to the owner ***. He told me the car would be ready by next week Friday (May 17th, 2024). He gave me his personal cell phone and all. Told me to call him directly.  I left happy as I was promised a date. Come Thursday, May 16th, 2024. I have yet to hear from Tendercar. I texted the owner to call me with an update. No response. I call his number and goes to voice mail but his voice mail is full so I couldn't even leave a message.  I get a text a minute later, that I will get a return call shortly. Nothing. Friday, May 17th, 2024 I text again that I am still waiting on a call. No response. So, I call again. Still no answer, goes to voice mail and still voice mail box is full. I call the business number and got a hold of the owner. He told me that all my car needed was the new front window and my car is all back together. He promised Monday May 20th, 2024 that my car will be ready and he will call me when he delivers the car to my home. I've got no update and response today at all. Here I am so waiting on my car. Don't promise me something and not follow through or at the very least, an update courtesy call or text. I'm very upset and don't have any update on my vehicle.

      My car *as been in t*e s*op for over 30 days. My insurance company was promised a date and t*e company *as not followed t*roug* on t*eir end.       My vehicle was towed to Tendercare. They no longer to business at that address which you do not find out until you arrive and see the signs. Then had to have vehicle towed additional mileage to their actual address of busines. My vehicle has been there since 1/25/24 and I still do not have it back. My calls to the manager the last two days have not been returned. *** been told there was a sensor issue that was being researched which took over a week only to have them send my car to a dealer to get sensor issue fixed. That was Monday and still no word. Ive been told there are issues with my insurance (Progressive) as to what it holding it up but insurance says that is not the case. I was told they were waiting on a part and the part was received and then someone accidentally sent it back so then they were waiting for it again. Ive been told there was a cracked headlight. There is a different story every time I have called. They have not called me with an update at all since its been in their possession and supposedly there is a test message system that I am supposed to get text message updates on and I have not received one update that route either. I am beyond frustrated and would not recommend this repair shop to anyone. I have been paying out of pocket for my rental vehicle now going in 2.5 weeks.
