If I could give 0 stars I would. Went to ER today because I’ve been playing pass the buck for last 4 months of going to specialist, to playing pass the bucks of specialist. today was extreme pain and one side of my body is swollen. I have symptoms of possible ** or **. never a brain MRI nor the auto immune blood test for either. ER visit today just put a pulseox and blood pressure. Cuff and said there was nothing they could do. In and out in 15 minutes, including wait time. Worse treatment ever. The doctor didn’t even do a full neuro workup, just touched my face, had me rub my leg up and down the other leg and said they can’t do anything. In 4 months I have been tossed back and forth back to same 5specialist offices and back to primary, at neuro last week- the minute the resident walked in-he stated they can’t work on the numbness and tingling, joint point, just the tremors because I was misscheduled and they were Parkinson’s doctors. At the ER today not only did they not do an exam- they lied on mychart and claimed they did an exam by filling out like the abdominal part, heart rate, they didn’t even have me change nor did they even use a stethoscope. I pointed out ny swollen ankle and fingers and it was we can’t do anything. ER claimed I had a brain MRI and I did not, it was a pituitary not brain but by reading notes, one could see that. The one doctor I had earlier this month tried to order meds for a procedure that isn’t ordered for another year from now and the meds for that procedure is stated in my records that I’m allergic too. Can’t see rheumatologist until end of next month and can’t get into neuro until Sept and it’s only March, in the meantime I may have **, ** and by waiting-it’s doing damage to my body that can’t be repaired. I have placed multiple calls to patient advocacy to get no where-they don’t return calls at all. no return calls, all you get is voicemail for any of the advocates. It’s been almost a week from neuro disaster and nothing.

I have a major complaint and concern, but I'll start with the positives. I have been provided great health care with top-notch teams that really follow through for me. Of course there are always hiccups and glitches. Some of them pretty frustrating when it comes to healthcare and insurance etc. But yesterday was such a stunning disappointment. It makes the good experiences almost disappear. I brought a family member to the rheumatology department, 5th floor at the Town Hall clinic yesterday. This happened between 1:30 and 2:00 PM. After my experience yesterday, I no longer feel safe returning. Here's what happened, a patient came out while I was waiting for my family member and was talking to the receptionist that had earlier checked us in. It's one thing to shoot the breeze but another to start talking really divisive politics and I could hear them no problem. Twice I called out for them to please stop and they kept going so I go and get a drink of water so I can walk by them and look them in the eyes and tell them that nobody wanted to hear what they were talking about. The receptionist acting as if she has complete impunity told me and I quote "it is what it is". Unbelievable!! I talked to her again on the way out after the person I was with was done with their appointment and said to her again how shocked I was by her attitude. And she said again " is what it is". I don't want to come back to a place where somebody so openly talks about such divisive politics to the point where now I no longer feel safe. My trust in them has been broken and I don't know if it'll come back. A stunning, stunning failure from an employee who represents the face of the Froedert/Medical College of Wisconsin healthcare system. I would never go back if I had a choice in it, but unfortunately that's where my new insurance sent me earlier this year. I don't have the luxury of voting with my feet and my dollars. So much for your mission statement.

The WESTBEND CAMPUS hospital is the worst in care, most of the nursing staff are more worried about covering up their own butts then to admit their wrong. There are things in mychart the nurses wrote that never happened. I laid in bed for over an hour waiting to get to the chair and when i called back all I got was lip service about how she had a new person on the floor who was more important then I was so I get to wait. I came in here with COPD now I have to take insulin due to the ***** Im receiving. they rushed me out and I was back 4 hrs later. Some doctor Ive never seen in my life is ordering medications for why I dont know. When I asked the nurses say thats what was ordered. The nursing staff on the 3rd floor are the worst, not all of them just the night crew and thats just the nurses the CNA's o their jobs quite well. The main excuse is I was just following orders (just like ******** generals) I will never tell anyone to come here and I'm most likely contacting my lawyer on how to proceed with the poor care.

Providers are top notch, but the scheduling and billing departments are a nightmare. Great care if you tirelessly advocate for yourself when finding the correct provider and remain VERY persistent regarding securing a timely appointment. Regarding billing inaccuracies and disputes, dont ever expect to get satisfaction, because you wont.

Disorganized hospital, lack of communication and questionable cover up? Husband was a patient mid-August 2023 and in/out of ER & hospital until prognosis 9/27/23. Not one professional could provide concrete diagnosis, turn around of hospitalists overwhelming. Students were like flies and even attempted procedures after unsuccessful attempts even though my husband was begging to stop. I was present, listened and took thorough notes/journal throughout my husband’s horrible experience at Froedtert Hospital. One on call PA entered my husband’s room (of course with an entourage of students) addressed very nonchalantly “looks like you have cancer”. It was such a calloused approach. The cancer was not fully diagnosed or its origin until his prognosis which questions the knowledge of all these professionals with many years of experience and especially those who are professors. After my husband had made his wishes be known for home hospice he was transferred to a room not fit for a stray animal and the level of care changed drastically. After my husband passed I requested his medical records. I noticed that I only received “certain” information?! Why? I called the medical records department again and spoke with an employee who said he would send the complete medical records. Upon reading through the very large stack, I noticed discrepancies. I also reached out to Dr. ****** and his team 4x to answer a question I was unable to find in his medical records. His nurse told me he was too busy to do that. The Oncologist charted he waited for me after my husband was admitted following his prognosis. I never got word there was a meeting and it was before visiting hours therefore I would have had to obtain permission to enter. I reached out to patient relations for help to obtain medical records and the answer I desperately needed from Dr. ******. A woman named Kim replied and gave the facade she was concerned. Inept charting, lack of communication and incomplete medical records!?

I should have made this review several years ago, but I was treated so badly I didnt even bother. There are several MAJOR issues with this place. For one, if you are lgbt, you arent allowed to be seen in the regular hospital complex. I called to get an appointment with any doctor for back pain. Right before we finalized the appointment, the scheduler noticed that I also go to the Inclusion health center. She then informed me that I MUST get my back checked ONLY there. Guess what? They have less staff with less availability, which meant waiting several extra weeks! It wasnt about seeing a specific provider either.Additionally, the staff was openly transphobic. The woman who was at the desk ALWAYS made sure to use my dead name and wrong pronouns. I also saw her do it to other clearly masculine people. One time I had an appointment for 4 pm. I realized that I was going to be late, so I called ahead and told the staff. They told me that as long as I was not more than fifteen minutes late, they would take me. 4:14 pm, I am at the front desk, ready to check in.But no one was there! I called out, but no one answered. I cautiously let myself into the back to see if anyone was still there. I found everyones coats and bags, but still no one. I thought that was strange, so I kept going. Finally, I opened the door to a DARK room with cubicles with ALL the lights turned off. All of the staff were hiding in a dark cubicle together!FINALLY I got someone to come to the desk and help me. By help I mean she took me back to the front, declared I was too late because it was 4:16, and told me to go home. I argued with her that I had gotten to the front desk at 4:14 and therefore should be seen. She argued back. Then, from somewhere in the back, the doctor called out to the receptionist. They talked back and forth, and the receptionist made sure to call me she as many times as possible, even though Im clearly a man. Thanks to the doctor, I got my appointment.Appalling.

I had an appointment with Dr. **** ***** in the OB/Gyn clinic. The appointment was scheduled weeks in advance; which gave the doctor time to review my records and health history. Also, I'm an established patient within the Froedtert Health system so all of my medical records are readily available to all within the system. This was my first appointment with the doctor and as soon as he entered the room, he proceeded to ask me "why I thought that I had the condition that I was being seen for." Although I recently had an MRI and also had been seen by a reproductive specialist for the condition that I have, and my information was readily available to him in the system. He spent the next 10-15 minutes reviewing my records and not speaking a word to me. When he got done reviewing my records, he confirmed that "yes I do have the condition." However, this was well known before he made the statement. He then spent the next ten minutes telling me how his colleague would "probably be a better fit" to assist me with my condition. He told me that he would discuss my condition with a colleague and get back to me within a week. It has now been over a month since I met with the doctor and I have not heard a single word from him or anyone else in the office. I'm appalled by the treatment I received by this doctor. I essentially did not receive any care or answers for my current condition and I'm still at square one without any answers. Why did I receive this level of care or lack of care? Every person, (regardless of station in life, etc.) deserves quality care and treatment. This is a huge problem for Froedtert. No Stars if that was an option!

It's a for profit hospital system with doctors. We have been fighting a bill that was submitted incorrectly for months, and even paying on it. Today we got a collection notice. How do you turn someone over to collections that is paying on a bill? Their review team looked at it and did not take care of what is covered under our insurance. Great way to ruin a seniors credit who was also paying on the bill. You sold it to a collection agency when you were getting payments. When you get to big for patient health and advocacy, there is a problem.

Froedtert billing is completely unethical and unfair. They do not inform you up front about their hidden and astronomical fees that are set up not to be covered by health insurance. If you try to dispute charges, they will say after the fact that, "it was up to you the patient to contact a cost estimator," that it's not enough to contact your insurance company and the doctor's office ahead of time–even though just about every other doctor's office or health clinic will do that for you. I went in to get a routine ear cleaning with a nurse practitioner, not even the doctor. She kept hurting my ear and was awkward with the equipment. She couldn't tell me whether I had an ear infection or not, and admitted that she was unable to get it totally clean. (Note that I happily went to a competent doctor at Aurora for the last four years with no problem for this very issue, until I was forced to change health insurance.) Froedtert socked me with with an over $800 bill as a "new patient," without informing me of this before the appointment, at the time of the appointment (when they cashed my co-pay for $40 immediately), or when they gave me consent forms to sign. They explained nothing. When I received the shocking bill almost a month later, I called and they said no one could help me right now, but someone would investigate my dispute and get back to me in 10-14 days. No one did. So I called again after 14 days and was basically informed by billing that it was "tough luck," "my own fault," and that the doctor's office had no way of knowing what Froedtert would ultimately charge me? I'm sorry, but this is really a sick joke, and their service and "professionalism" was nonexistent. Absolutely disgusting way to treat someone coming to them with new health insurance who obviously was trying to do everything right and does not have a bunch of money to throw around. NO STARS, if there was that option!
