In July of 2021, I went to lease a Honda CRV from All Star Honda. I told them I'd prefer a CRV because I some point I would plan on buying a jet ski. The salesperson told me they would install my hitch and electrical harness and that that would be included in cost in the lease. The salesmen told me when they ordered the part and it came in that THEY would call me. The dealership never called me. A year later, I call to ask about it and the dealership said they would order the part and when it came in they would install it. They left me a voicemail and I did not return the call right away to schedule the appointment. I ended up buying a jet ski and then I called the dealership (which is no longer in service and is now ***** Honda) and they told me they didn't have to honor that because the delership All Star was now out of business. When I looked through my lease papers I had a "WE OWE" slip that said they owed me the hitch and electrical component, but it said it was only good for 30 days. So they took a year to call me and offered it, but then because I didn't jump now I'm stuck paying for the hitch install on my lease (which I never got) and pay another $1,000 out of my pocket to get one installed at a different Honda delership. They could argue it wasn't done in a timely fashion, but why should I pay for it twice? I feel that they should cover the cost of the parts at least, because that is the moral thing to do, not charge the consumer twice, or blame the consumer. They definitely weren't on their A+ game either with timing. When I called a different honda delership to get the two things installed it was $1,063.55! Never go to this physical location, the delership changes ownership numerous times so they don't have to honor responsibilities it seems.Business Response

The business that was ******************** and was sold to the current owners.Business Response

The ownership of All-Star Honda was sold to ***** Honda on 1/16/23 in addition the signed doc sent by the client clearly states that is is only good for 30days and is fast approaching 2 years. I can not speak for the new owners but this is likely tied to why they are not honoring something that was voided by time specified on the previous stores doc.Initial Complaint

I am filing on behalf on my son, ***************************, who resides with me. ***** was in ********* on October 3, 2022 when his vehicle (a 2015 Honda CRV) broke down near *********. I suggested he have the vehicle towed to the nearest Honda dealership, which was All Star Honda. We negotiated to trade his old CRV on a 2019 CRV. I wired the funds to the dealership the same day and ***** completed his drive back to ************. I also sent an additional $987 because they did not have the title for the 2015. We subsequently sent the title for the 2015 CRV to the dealership, which they received on October 5. After numerous phone calls, we finally received the paperwork for the purchase (they gave no paperwork to ***** at the time of the purchase). The finance manager (*****) stated they can handle the application for vehicle registration and title transfer. The temporary registration they issued expired on November 2, 2022. I have called numerous times to inquire about the status of vehicle registration, title transfer, and return of the $987 (I do have paperwork confirming they owe me $1000). They will not return my phone calls, and more recently will not even answer my phone calls. I would like my $1000 refunded and would like the vehicle registration and title transfer to be completed. The first page of the attachment is the document agreeing to the price of the vehicle and the value of the trade. The second page shows the purchase contract, which differs from the first page, because they did not have the title at the time. The third page documents the $1000 that is owed for the value of the trade. The fourth and fifth pages are copies of the wire transfer from me to the dealership. The last page is the temporary registration plate, which has since expired. The separate document is a copy of my credit card transaction for $987 to cover the additional cost since they did not yet have the title.Business Response

Our ****************** has been in contact with ***** since the beginning of the deal. It was explained that there were things needed from either him or his son for the sake of finalizing the deal. This is because of the ************* process in regards to sending the title and conducting the inspection, per the state where residing, to finalize everything. We completed the necessary paperwork to get his $1000.00 for the trade equity that was outside of the deal. After submitting all that was needed from us for titling and plate issuing we have been awaiting a resolution to this deal. We are very sorry for any delay and if you have any further concerns please reach out to ***************** the General Manager at ********************************************************Customer Answer

I worked with Rob at All-Star Honda. My car was towed here on June 4 and I paid for service and picked up my car on July 8. Throughout the process, Rob was incredibly hard to reach and would not call me back or communicate with me, and I am not convinced that the work that was done actually needed to be done. When my car was brought in, I explained the problem-- the brakes were stopping, but they had to go 3/4 of the way to the floor to completely stop. Two days later, I got a call from Rob asking "Why do you think it's the head gasket? Because that can be really expensive if that's not what it is." I had never said it was the head gasket. He told me he had been confused, but that this was indeed the problem. After they did all that expensive work, and had assured me several times that it would be done after that, he called me and told me that the brakes were stopping, but they had to go 3/4 of the way to the floor to completely stop-- the same problem I had brought it in for 3 weeks earlier. I'm not convinced that that work needed to be done, especially because Rob didn't seem convinced about it before starting the work either. When I did talk to him, he often forgot pieces of information that he'd already talked with me about. For example, on a Friday, he told me I needed a master cylinder replaced. On Monday, he called and said they were still waiting on the part. The following Friday, he called and said "so we confirmed it is the master cylinder, and we can get that ordered for you right now!" So I'm not sure what part he had been calling me about before then, but I did confirm that this was exactly the same information I had gotten a week ago, and no progress had been made.He was incredibly unprofessional. He entered my information incorrectly into paperwork and signed for a loaner car for me, without letting me review or sign it myself. The final interaction I had with him was him telling me that he had thrown up just prior to test driving my car for me.Business Response

June 18 2022.I purchased a car with cash as I didn't want to have my credit run as it's in the excellent range. I told the sales woman ****** that and she came back after speaking with the finance manager that they would not run my credit. I could not run the total amount on my debit card so I was to bring a check back the day after my birthday (The 20th) to be able to take the car that day. So another finance manager *** told me signing the papers was only to take the car that day and I still asked multiple multiple times to make sure that this was not to run my credit and he assured me every single time I asked that they would not run my credit. When I checked my weekly credit report they had run it anyway. Now I have this credit check that will stay on there for 2 years and has dropped my credit 5 points. I called *** the man that told me that after signing the papers they would for sure not run my credit and he never called me back.Business Response
