Zero integrity, zero customer satisfaction and a worthless warranty. This is what you get from ********* Mudjacking. I hire them to raise some sidewalk pads that sunk where they came together. They are still 1-1/2 low after the repair. Pretty much where it was before repair. I called them back and a salesperson showed up with his blinders on and just full of B.S. Lets just say there is no reasoning with stupid. So save yourself some aggravation and hire someone else.

************** is under the impression that our mudjacking has settled, when it has not.

My estimator, ***********************, went out to look at ****************** concrete in June.  All of the concrete joints are still matched and have good even pitch away from the house. ****************** main concern was a larger gap between two of the concrete slabs, caused by the initial settling and steep grade of the sidewalk's incline. Mudjacking, as we had made clear, cannot close these gaps; we cannot move concrete laterally. This gap was always there, after settling and immediately after we fixed the sidewalk last year, when ************** was happy with the outcome of the job. The concrete has not moved from then until now.

At some point early on, as **** was trying to explain this to **************, ************** apparently refused to engage any further and angrily walked into the house, leaving **** alone. **** at that point was perfectly happy to continue a constructive conversation, but ************** had made it clear that he was done. ************** made no further attempt to contact us or work with us on a solution.

Soon after, ************** took it upon himself to spam various review sites online with negative and defamatory claims about my company. In these, he personally attacked ****'s intelligence and personal appearance. I have attached two of these reviews (out of how many, I don't know) to this response.

My company's reputation is stellar and speaks for itself, especially when it comes to customer **********************. Customer satisfaction is my number one goal and I am always willing to work with someone who feels unsatisfied. That being said, I have absolutely no tolerance for baseless personal attacks against my employees. If ************** would remove these libelous reviews and be willing to conduct himself appropriately, I would certainly be open to coming back to the table to work with him personally to make him happy. I am more than willing to cooperate with him in a civil and respectful manner, but that must come from both sides.

Concrete work performed on or about June 15, 2021 has failed as of March 15, 2022. I contacted the company by phone on March 21, 2022, to make them aware of the situation. Company rep would not meet in person. I had to call the company back on March 31, 2022, to request a meeting and was told by company rep that he had visited the site (my home) but would not meet with me.

We had raised the customer's sunken rear steps to the original grade as stated on the contract. Due to the nature of how concrete steps settle, once the steps were raised there was a sizeable gap between the steps and the home. Patching the gap was NOT part of the contract, but I offered to fill in the gap with our mudjacking material. At the time, I made it abundantly clear that we are not a concrete pouring/patching company and that the material would likely erode due to the weather.

I did this patching for free as a courtesy and was completely transparent about how long it may or may not last. Again, this patch was not part of the contract or under any kind of warranty.

The customer called this Spring and said that the concrete has started to fail. Our estimator visited the home and noted that the concrete steps had not sunk whatsoever; the only visible issue was that the gap patch had indeed started to erode.

I called the customer and left a voicemail explaining that even though I made it clear that this may happen, I was willing to stop out for free and put a skim coat of regular concrete patch over the material to make it look better and possibly last longer. I again reminded him that there was no way of knowing how long it would last. The customer then declined the offer to repair it, and that was the last contact we have had from him.

Essentially,      A) The patch was never part of the contract or under any kind of warranty, and

                          B) I even offered to repair the erosion for free, and was refused.

There is nothing more on my side that I can do for the customer.  Because they outright refused my offer to repair the patch, I consider the matter closed.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The terms of the contract have not been met. The original contract was included in our initial complaint. The first term of the contract states, " Full stairs at back Entrance to original." Photos of the current condition do not meet the standard "to original". We are seeking a permanent solution to the problem caused - not the temporary solution offered.

The terms of the contract state "to original". (BBB has been sent a copy of the agreement.) This was not accomplished by the contractor. We expect the contractor to satisfy the terms of the original contract as no alterations were ever agreed upon. Photos sent previously show the result of last year's "skim coat" so  that is not an acceptable remedy.
