Batzner is no longer the Batzner it used to be - a local *********** It is now owned by Rentokil - a major NON-LOCAL corporate behemoth - who cares nothing about the customer or service provided. I had the absolutely worst experience with the company in Dec 2024 when 3 service people came to my home without being scheduled and while neither my husband nor I were home (unknowing housekeeper let them in) on a date that was NOT mutually agreed upon and performed a $2000 service. The company has admitted that they have no record of any agreed to date for the service, but stands on the basis of having a signed service contract - which states specifically that "work will be completed upon a mutually agreed upon date by customer and company" (See Page 17 under paragraph starting with Payment of attachmnent). They are in clear breach of contract. Now, I've called countless times to discuss the matter and no one will return my calls and if I do speak to a representative - they give me the complete runaround and they no longer actually have offices in *********. This has been ongoing for 8 weeks. UPDATE: 3.5.25 The response from the company BELOW recommends reaching out through their website - the website does not exist. Not surprising. Meanwhile I've still not received a call back.UPDATE: 5.18.25. After getting in touch with the Branch Manager for ********** who was very helpful, he put me in contact with the District Manager. In our conversation he was hostile, threatening, and extremely condescending - all of which served only to add to my already awful experience.Business Response

*********** did sign an agreement to preform work an exclusion service due to the severe rodent infestation to the home. The original date that was set was rescheduled by her to another date. This was agreed to verbally by the lead technician. ***** hours prior to the rescheduled work date she receive a confirmation call and texts multiple times about the time the crew would arrive. Once there the house keeper who at that time would be acting as the home owner let the crew in to complete inside and out side work that was contracted to do. She also signed the service ticket authorizing the work. We have discussed this multiple time with Ms. ******** that the work was done and offered to go back out to go over everything with her. She has refused and has become very aggressive to the point her account is been placed in do not reinstate and sent to the collections department. We consider the matter closed as it has been sent to the collections department.Customer Answer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The only resolution is for the company to take ownership of its unethical and aggressive business tactics, apologize - and to stop lying about the facts - I absolutely did not agree to the date of the service and the **************** has a telephone conversation indicating as such. The service was cancelled by me and I then indicate in this recording that I will follow-up to reschedule - instead they company shows up unscheduled and performs the service when no homeowner is present. When a company doesn't follow the terms of its own 'terms of service' agreement, this unethical (and illegal) practice should be called out by the consumer and a professional response should be expected by the company. That is absolutely not what happened here. Instead, I was bullied - threatened to be "sent to collections," intimidated, patronized, and in general treated condescendingly - as others have complained about to the Wisconsin BBB.I must also mention, that the District Manager **** ******) who I refer to in my original complaint has since gone on to post his own favorable ****** review for the company, Batzner/Rentokil - a blatant conflict of interest, along with violating ******'s own posting policies. Another example of the clearly unethical behavior that appears to be rampant in the company.
RIP the "old" locally-owned ****** and I once again repeat - stay away from this "new" *******************

I had agreed to two service visits from Batzner in July and August of 2024. They continued to charge my credit card for three additional months ($126) for which I did not receive service. They stated that I was having the 365 service which I did not agree to. I have contacted Batzner three times in November and December asking for the credit for the three additional months I was charged. I did not receive any services for those three months. They are denying crediting my account and say they are unable to give me the phone number for the billing department so that I can get this problem resolved.Business Response

Batzner continues to charge me for a service I had attempted to cancel for several months. On 4/16/2024, I notified the technician at my home that I would be moving, and to cancel the service. I continued to receive notices, called the local office to confirm cancellation, and even after I had canceled the credit card associated with the account they continued to bill me for months. On 8/21/2024, I sent a notice to Batzner customer support, and thought it would be resolved. I received additional notices for payment, and on 10/05/2024 I sent another email to Batzner support on 10/09/2024, and again on 10/22/2024. Ms. ********* was under a monthly payment pest program. We received the cancelation on 10-9-24. Since the service is prorated this is the reason the billing continued until the balance was paid. Customer did pay the outstanding balance and no further action is required by them. There is no refund due and the account has been cancelled.Initial Complaint

I paid thousands of dollars to have a service (Exclusion) perform to keep rodents out of my house. I was told it would take two months to not see anymore. Two months later after still seeing rodents I was quoted another thousands of dollars because the Exclusion didn't resolve the problem. I was told I had a 2 year warranty with the exclusion that means the tech would come out and spray and recover the holes if the rodents chewed through. Now I am being told my warranty is void because I owe the company $300 for services not rendered. I do not understand how my services can be void even though I already paid for the warranty and services. I have called multiple times because I am being charged $300 for a tech coming to spray my house two times. $150 for each time. Which makes no sense because I have a commercial business and I only get charged $82 a month for the same services. After talking to customer service I was told $150 will be waived and I would have to only pay $150 but a week later I received an email saying that the claim was denied and I would have to pay the whole $300, which was only two months of services. I do not agree with this pricing, but my exclusion warranty should not be affected because that was paid in full. I understand the companh was switched from Terminix to Batzner but still no one is able to help me with my situation and all I want is to not see rodents after I paid Terminix thousands of dollars to seal my house.Business Response

Ms. ***** currently does have a rodent issue do to the fact the house has shifted off the foundation with caused gaps along the foundation as the inspector indicated in his report to her. The original exclusion didn't offer a warranty do to this fact. She has also failed to pay the balance due for services she received and requested. Until the balance is paid we are not able to provide any type of service for her.Customer Answer

[Please type your response here.]How could that be true, when I received ****************** services? But know you are saying I was never given a warranty. I do not know what you are talking about? But I definitely have a warranty and was told multiple times over the phone that I have a warranty but I have I have to pay a bill that I do not agree with. A bill for services I never received should not have anything to do with services and a warranty I already paid for. As you can see my tech came April 2024 because I called complaining about rodents and the service was listed under "****************** Services" the warranty that you just claimed I do not have.

You just said I do not have a warranty and once I sent proof, you said "that is the case" that I can not claim my warranty because of a bill I do not agree with. I will not pay a $300 for 2 services within those months and you will not grant my warranty, even though I paid thousands for it. This company is horrible!

Batzner charged my family for services not rendered without authorization on June 5, 2023. They said it would take 45 days to issue a credit- this is unacceptable as I never authorized this charge . They used a credit card I provided to them to pay last year's balance only.Business Response

Batzner Pest Control serviced my home on Wednesday, April 26. I was told with the initial contact, as well as by the serviceman who was at my home, that if after two weeks the pests continued, they would return and spray again at no charge. I have now called twice to schedule an appointment (on Friday, May 19 and today, Monday, May 22), but am unable to do so. Multiple reasons were given by three different people! I now have to "wait" until a district or operations manager calls me back, without a time frame, when my "warranty" expires in 4 days.Business Response

I contacted Batzner for help to get rid of ********* ants in our home. I paid the $275 fee and the agent came out to look at the situation. He wasn't actually sure about the ants (where they were coming from or where they were in the house) so he made comments on their form to have another agent come to re-inspect. He did spray some floor joists in the basement and put a couple drops of bait in one of our moldings at the floor. A few days later I received an e mail telling me of a new appointment. I had to cancel and reschedule that appointment because of an illness in the home. On Monday 2/28/2023 I had an appointment with another tech to look at the problem. I missed a phone call from him but he left a message that he was uncertain why he was coming and if I wanted to keep the appointment, to call him back. I did call back about an hour later and told him I wanted to have him come to the house. He never showed up. The next day I called Batzner and wanted to complain about them not keeping the appointment and their lack of knowledge why I called them. After listening to the person on the phone make excuses, I decided to just request a refund and to speak to a manager. I tried calling back 3 more times during the day but the manager was always unavailable. I did request a call back from her, but never received one. I called again today and she is still unavailable and they don't have any more information about my refund. I also was supposed to receive information (MSDS) about the chemicals they used to kill the ants in our house but didn't get that information either. I have contacted another pest control business to handle our problem since Batzner can't take care of the problem and is so *** about returning calls.Business Response

On September 23,2022, Batzner came out to spay the outside of the house for bugs. They say you dont have to be home for this service. I happened to be home and saw the job they did or didnt do. The technician was done spraying in less than 7 minutes and I have a big two story home. After he was done spraying or lack of he took a nap in his truck until a fire siren went off then he jumped up and looked at his phone. He then went back to relaxing in his truck. I have contacted Batzner for a reimbursement of this service and the 3 months before since it was not done the way it is supposed to be. I have been a client for at least 2 years. I have canceled my service with them. I have called them 3 times about this situation and they keep telling me that there program is down.Business Response
