I opened the credit card and have not been able to use it. It says no available balance. But upon credit approval and receiving the card, correspondence stated there was a $700 limit. I believe this is a fraudulent card, as I am not able to use it, not get in touch with a customer service representative. Now they have my info and I have a fake credit card. Please help!Business response

We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your credit card. Unfortunately we are not able to locate you as a member of our credit union and we do not have a field of membership in **********. It sounds like you may have been issued a credit card that is called a "Verve Credit Card" but this is not issued by Verve, a Credit Union and this is issued by another entity.Initial Complaint

This company is saying that they won't report to my credit bureaus until I make a purchase which makes no sense because the card is activated and I paid the annual fee credit cards are supposed to report your credit line on your credit reports before you even make a purchase this doesn't make sense I want this report it to my credit report so it can show in my credit utilizationBusiness response

I believe that you have the wrong company. Verve, a Credit Union has no record of you being a member. You may be referring to the Verve Credit Card, which is not issued by Verve, a Credit Union.Customer response

I had set up a **** pay to pay my mother for insurance every two weeks. The last month, the payments have been getting refunded and Ive been charged $64 in overdraft fees, when I had sufficient funds within the account. Verve keeps trying to blame me saying that there were pending transactions that caused the overdraft, there was $70 in pending transactions according to what they told me. They still bounced the account. Now I have had $64 and on top of that I cancelled the payment and it still went through yesterday. The payment was not received by my mom, and I dont have it. Verve Credit Union has now stolen $135 from me and keep making excuses to why and why I cant have my money back. This is theft and it is not right. Action needs to be taken immediately.Business response

Verve has been in contact with this member repeatedly over this situation. Verve is not able to respond in detail on the member's situation due to privacy concerns, but Verve has reviewed this account again at the member's request and it appears that any fees assessed were proper. If the member wishes to discuss this further or discuss how to avoid such fees in the future, it is recommended that the member contact Verve at ************.
