We had ***************** from General Engineering Company (***) out at our house on May 11, 2023 to inspect and design a solution to fix our basement foundation wall that is bowing inward. He sent us a report on May 22nd and a bill on May 23rd for $385. We sent a check to them within a couple of days for the full amount. The report he sent was very vague; it was just written paragraphs and was not what we were expecting. It was missing information and there was no material list or design drawing/blueprint. We had to ask numerous questions just to get basic information on the hardware needed and how to implement his proposed solution.His initial design was not possible to complete due to certain circumstances with our wall and we ended up suggesting our own fix to him. He approved our suggested fix and rewrote the report, this time providing a much different report than we received from him initially. This revised report was sent to us on October 10th. He also sent us another bill on October 10th for $340. He had failed to communicate ahead of time that he would need to charge us again for this. His revised report still has things that need to be corrected. We have been going back and forth with him and still don't have a finalized report with a repair that will work for our wall. We emailed the president of the company, *********************************, to try to get his help with this on October 31st. We asked for him to remove our second charge and either refund us for our first payment or else redo the calculations on the final design and send us a corrected report. We called to discuss with him and he said he would call us back. He never did. We called again and left a message and he still never responded. We are out of patience at this point, and our foundation wall is still bowing in. Preferably we would just like to go our separate way and have the second invoice to be credited/removed and to be refunded for the initial invoice.
