Purchased my washer in 2018. Still under warranty. It was making noise on the last few minutes of the spin cycle. Like an airplane. Called a repair tech and he came out. AAA Appliance. Couldn't duplicate the noise of course and send me a bill for $132.54. My washer is still in warranty. I should not have to pay for the service call. This complaint is a follow-up to previous Complaint #********, for issues with a Speed Queen washer and dryer (not fully cleaning or drying items). Previously the company attempted resolution via email and determined that a service technician visit was required, paid for by them (noted on 20 Feb 2025). They scheduled this with ***** ********************************** The performance of this service support was very poorly managed and has yet to be ************ was necessary to reschedule the initial service appointments, due to not adhering to the given repair window, as well as a single emergent event. Appointments were scheduled for 27 Mar 2025 for both machines, with special instructions for arrival by 12:00 PM and use of a mask and shoe covers (due to an immunocompromised household member). The estimated arrival time was excessively late, and updates were unavailable by ********** despite repetitive inquiry. Given this, ********** rescheduled the appointment for 1 April 2025 with the same original requests.On 1 April 2025, the servicer arranged for by Speed Queen:Did NOT reschedule for both the washer and dryer to be addressed this day, instead cancelled the original dryer Service (Order #***************) and replaced it with a customer paid service appointment. The technician arrived 4+ hours after the estimated arrival time without notifying me of the delay, despite their commitment to do so and our active inquiry.Did NOT perform any service for the washer, despite their promise to do so (Service Order #***************).Did NOT inform the technician of the requirement for masking and shoe covers.With this, the dryer service was cancelled due to incorrect payment source, and the washer service has yet to be performed.This extremely poor experience and general unwillingness to adequately address the BBB complaint, using the Alliance Laundry Systems servicer *********** is consistent with similarly reported issues to the BBB and Consumer Affairs.Business Response

Purchased a Speed Queen front-load washer and Speed Queen matching dryer. Each unit costs $2,449.00 with additional costs of $239.00 for a stand for each unit. The washer has been replaced and same problems with new unit.1 & 2: Have to apply pressure on the door of washer to get it to start. Door mechanism had been replaced on first washer. Second washer has same issue. Door mechanism replaced again, same issue. While applying pressure to the door, after I press start button, often have to press it again as red light to indicate the load will start goes off. As I'm continuing to lean on door, pushing start one or more times, load will finally begin. If I do not do these things, door will click incessantly and load will not start. 3. ******* times in last three weeks, towels are not drying out enough in washer. They come out of the washer quite wet and then takes two hours or more to get dry in the dryer. 4. Washer unit's continuance to move substantially following various types of loads, creating difficulty to move the heavy unit back to avoid it pulling plumbing from wall or damaging utility sink away from its space is not sustainable. We placed a foam mat beneath the unit as directed by technician.5. If we use any other mode on the washer, the unit moves substantially. If we use any other mode on the dryer, the clothes do not dry evenly. 6. On two occasions, the washer door has leaked, causing water spray, droplets across the front of the washer below the door, this happening only with the second washer unit.Monday, March 10, 2025, tech returned to our home to check the same issues, all listed above. He stated he tweaked the door mechanism and it was no longer clicking and functioning properly. However, as we looked at the unit after his inspections, the very first attempt to start the washer, the clicking started and the unit did not start. None of the issues have been fixed. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.So far, the washer is still not fixed. SpeedQueen sent two technicians from ************** last Tuesday, April, 8, 2025, from out of town who are to replace some parts this Tuesday, April 15th. I'll have to take another unpaid day off work. Hopefully this resolves some issues; however, the door mechanism has been replaced before. This time, they are replacing the door as well and some other parts. So it is not resolved currently. I do not know if it will stop the washer from moving so much, if it will resolve having to push start multiple times, if it will resolve the door from clicking over and over and over and the unit not starting a cycle. As for the dryer. I was told to only use, now, the timed dry setting. Basically all the other settings are useless because of the sensors in the unit. Units should not work like that, nor cost so much to then be resigned to using only ONE setting on the unit. I am still stuck with using only ONE setting on the washer to avoid it moving so much that I cannot move it back into place. So, again, at this time, the issues are not resolved yet.

My husband and I bought a speed queen washer on 10/16/2020. My washer included a 3 yr warranty. In addition, we purchased a extended a 3 yr warranty for a total of 6 hrs. The washer cost $999.99 and the warranty for $250.00 The total including tax is $1353.11 After the 3rd year the motor smelled burned. I call for a repair. The company, at first, refused to accept the warranty. I was emailed by Lakaina, a residential consume t support team. She did sent a repairman who confirm the motor needed to be repaired. This person did not return nor did he replace the motor. I personally spoke to 5 or 6 representatives of the company. Thses people were kind and agreeable but had no intention of having my washer fixed. I called many times to the point that my number has been blocked. I have over 500 days left on my warranty. The model#AWN632sp116TW01 The serial #********** I am trying to send email communication with Lakaine, the repairman, copy of contract listing the total price and additional information. I bought a speed queen wash tower through appliance factory in ********, *** I need a gasket replaced in the washer. No one who is listed as a servicer will do warranty work for a machine they didn't sell. So what's the point of a warranty if I can't get anyone to honor it? On December 14, 2024, I purchased a Speed Queen Washing Machine as a Christmas present for my wife. Did our research - you pay more for a 7 year warranty but Speed Queen has a great reputation. I did not read all the BBB complaints first. From reading the majority of these complaints looks as though the washers have all experienced problems during the spin cycle. On January 31, 2025 (Only 6 weeks after purchasing our washer) the machine would not drain or spin. We followed all the steps...unplug, set machine to spin cycle, etc. Nothing worked. Called Speed Queen. Sent Appliance Doctor out to do repair on February 5. Replaced drain pump. When we began washing clothes it sounded like a diesel truck. My first load of clothes were left with residual soap stains spotted on shirts. I have diluted all detergents with water first, use no softeners and still having to rinse clothes numerous times with soap still in my clothes. Called Speed Queen and waited on hold for over an hour. Rescheduled with same repair company Appliance Doctor (he had just replaced drain pump). The owner **** ******* spoke so poorly about Speed Queen and what a piece of c*** it is --- why would I want this guy in my home working on my Speed Queen? Called again requesting another company. A Appliance Repair has one repair tech and he cannot do anything for another 4 weeks. Called again was give a list of people to call. Same companies, Appliance Doctor, A Appliance, ******** Repair (will only service what the sale) and finally called RVA Appliance Repair. Set up a repair with Faith for someone to come out today 2/27/25. I call to confirm. They cannot get here until March 6, 2025. I have paid a lot for a NEW washer. Speed Queen PLEASE get someone out here to repair this machine. I have a brand new machine and cannot use it. I am having to use a laundry mat so I do not ruin anymore of my clothes. The water sensors are not working. Something is wrong. HELP! My videos are too large to attach.Business Response

Apparently it must be ok for Alliance (Speed Queen) to think it would be acceptable to have a brand new machine not working for the last four weeks. As soon as the drain pump was repaired under warranty at the beginning of February we called immediately stating that the machine now sounded like a diesel truck and is not rinsing the clothes on the spin cycle. My wife and I have been lectured by customer service **** about diluting all detergents, softeners and ONLY using vinegar to wash clothes (Did I not say in my complaint that we dilute EVERYTHING)? This is NOT the problem as you can see in my first notation. Speed Queen is historically known to have this issue and most of the complaints on the BBB site are having the same problem with the rinse cycle (water sensor failure). It is unfathomable to me that you would ever think 4 weeks for a repair would be ok. We have a $1600 machine that only worked for 6 weeks. Waiting another 3 days for a repair after we have made numerous calls asking for help to find a Speed Queen authorized technician has been arduous at best. When we called the wait times on hold are up to an hour and when you request a return call - cross your fingers you get a return call. Your solution - here are 4 different companies - of the four one was talking so bad about Speed Queen why would we use that company? The other one was unavailable for another 4 weeks and one did not service unless they sold it and now *** canceled on me last week and NOW it is March 6. **************** has been horrific and the machine itself at $1600 is a joke! Wish I had never purchased this machine for my wife. Huge mistake and you have zero resolution other than lecturing me about diluted detergent? Wish that was the problem - the Speed Queen machine failure is the issue.

My wife finally reached out to the company that sold us the machine. We are extremely grateful for ********************* efforts in resolving this problem for us (They began emailing regional managers of Alliance so our concerns could be heard). Today we had *** Repairs discover the issue that has been plaguing us for the last 4 weeks without our brand new machine. The initial repair company that was speaking so despairingly about Speed Queen improperly installed the drain pump - not only was this an "after market" part it was not OEM and the wrong size. Speed Queen, you should have listened to us when we told you there was something wrong after the initial repair. This had nothing to do with diluted detergents and softeners - it was never repaired on February 5. Should have never taken 4 weeks to get this resolved. You need to look at the initial repair invoice and make sure you were not charged for an OEM part. In the future, please listen to your customers. We had a great working machine for 6 weeks, the drain pump failed, repair company installed "after market" part that was improperly installed, took new repair company 4 weeks to look at machine, discovered error and now FINALLY an OEM part has been placed on order and there is completion in the near future.

More importantly, the washer is still broken. RVA Repairs, has been out to diagnose the problem however I have no idea when the part will arrive or when it will be fixed. RVA Repair, just said it was ordered but has no tracking and no idea when the part will arrive. They said when the part comes in they could call me to schedule a repair. At this time, my washer is not functioning properly. I have no light at the end of the tunnel yet. Keep in mind this all started JAN 31st!! 38 days ago with a family of four with no functioning washing machine!

The washer squeals during the spin cycle since the May 2024 installation, Eventually, it worn down the inside plastic rim of the washer (see photo). An uneven, tilted drum is only part of the problem. The rim has been replaced and it still squeals. Moreover, I have been working directly with Alliance **************** for many months and have tried to work this issue up through their customer service system and been unsuccessful. Two repairman have deemed the washer unrepairable. One repairman that Alliance recommended refuses to work on it anymore as there is nothing further to be replaced or corrected. In addition, the dryer has started melting clothes as others have noted in their complaints. Alliance does not stand by their products or warranty. Since repairmen that are experts with Speed Queen systems deem it unrepairable and Alliance is unwilling to resolve the issue directly with me or the repairman, I am requesting a full refund. Photos of the damaged rim and audio videos with the squealing spin cycle have been provided to Speed Queen along with written documentation/emails documenting the defective equipment.Business Response

On December , 2024 Speed Queen/alliance laundry contacted me through a BBB to resolve my original complaint. Alliance Laundry (****) agreed in writing to exchange the original malfunctioning dryer with the original. They asked for the name of the company I bought it from and I did provide that. I was then told that I would be contacted within 5 business days to set up the delivery. I was never contacted. I emailed the company back twice asking for an update and my email was ignored/not replied ***** the past, if I called the company I was hung up on or received very rude replies from customer service. I am attempting to resolve this out of court one last time before I take legal action.
