    Business that need general liability insurance - avoid B&H at all costs! Non-communicative, won't answer questions pertaining to their product for "liability reasons" and when I asked if my policy was refundable because I was planning to switch to a new policy after the holidays, they went ahead and cancelled my policy without my explicit go-ahead and won't fix it, leaving me with a lapse. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

    Easy to buy, impossible to claim. Had a policy to cover a cruise. Had to cancel due to an unplanned surgery. Was only trying to recover $844 for cancellation fees. Endless run around, duplicate paperwork requirements. Basically sent them my entire medical record, and its still not enough. Have yet to receive anything from this company on a straight forward small claim. Take my advice and never buy insurance from this company. I expected better from a Berkshire Hathaway company.

    You get the same coverage whether you buy a policy or not. NONE! They simply dont pay out no wonder ************************* is so rich.

    Is there away to do LESS than a 1 star? I had to cancel my trip due due illness, a fever of 103.(I called to cancel 8 hours before the flight.) Ive provided a note from the doctor (which I am very uncomfortable with) and a copy of my ticket along with the terms and conditions. I have paid for the insurance provided documentation and expect the company to honor the refund.

    Well, I've learned my lesson to check the BBB site before purchasing insurance through BH. We had to cancel a trip due to one of my coworkers testing positive for COVID who was in no condition to work for at least two weeks (one of which was during my scheduled vacation). It is one of our busiest times of year and we could not pause her duties being performed. I am the only other person at my company suited to take over her duties while she was out, which was one of the requirements to file a claim. I initially filed it in January (I think). The first email response I got from them was in early April. They required that my coworker get a note from the physician who performed the PCR test saying she was unable to perform professional duties. However, the PCR test was done at a testing center in January so it obviously wasn't administered by a physician. Even if it were, I'm pretty sure a physician would have been *slightly* overwhelmed (insert sarcasm font) with other COVID patients/testing, and would not be able to recall whether someone would have been fit to work. My last 8 emails over the course of 6 weeks have gone completely unacknowledged. I'm sure their approach is to just wear people down until they give up, and clearly it works. I simply do not have the bandwidth to pursue this further, so I guess their tactic works. The whole experience was abhorrent.
