I am a hairstylist in *********, **************. Since Covid, Beauty suppliers have not had the variety of products and tools we use in our industry available as needed. I bought an Andis Pivot clipper/ trimmer combo from ***** Beauty Supply on Dec 12, 2023. I have never used that brand before so I was unfamiliar with its performance. It was all they had available in a combo like I was seeking so I purchased it. I used it at work the next couple of days and the trimmer was not sharp at all and the clipper was not as sharp as it should have been. I oiled the blades before use and adjusted the blades after using and found it wasnt cutting very well. It was not of professional grade as I am used to working with. It should not be marketed as a professional product because it is not strong enough nor is it sharp enough to withstand daily use in the salon. I went back to ***** Beauty to return the item for a refund and they informed me then that they no longer offer refunds on electrical products and I must contact the manufacturer directly. I have been in contact with Andis and was informed I must pay shipping to return the item to them and they will only replace the item I purchased and not provide a refund. I do have buyers remorse in that aspect because Ive never in 30+ years in my career field bought a product for my business that I was not able to receive a refund for. I do not want this product. I do not want any future product from this company because they do not stand behind their product. I simply want to be refunded the money I have paid and be on my way. I do not wish to be stuck with a product I cannot use.Business Response

Andis is incompetent or playing dumb or both. I've been trying to send back a pair of awful trimmers that I bought. I have dialogued with multiple people through email at Andis and they all seem to become more incompetent. They don't listen and comprehend well at all. they kept asking me for my information when I gave them my information long ago. they then lie and claim they have attached information regarding how the warranty works but they have not. I don't get responses within days with any real information that is useful. when I was growing up I thought that they were the top of the line clearly they have fallen off. I have included screenshots of the dialog emails to no avail for anything that I was trying to accomplish as far as information from them.Business Response

Purchased a hair dryer from Andis through Amazon late 2021 that has a 5 year warranty. The product reflects a 5 year warranty for the product on the Amazon's website even today and the product shipped and sold by Andis has a 5 year warranty marked on the product box. We have emailed Andis 3 times and also tried to contact them through Amazon but no response. Amazon is aware of the issue. We are just trying to warranty the item as we purchased 3 hair dryers at that time believing that the product would be of some quality in regards to the warranty. The product has Andis on the product and the box. Also on the box is the 5 year warranty and the product is advertised today on Amazon with the same warranty.
Amazon is also aware of the product warranty and has contacted us for satisfaction which we have yet to receive.
