6/22, checked insurance for in network coverage, Northern Oral was in network. 11/22- had first initial appointment to discuss treatment. Paperwork was all filled out, both medical and dental insurance cards were given to Northern Oral. No word that anything has changed of what they except for insurance. 12/8- wisdom teeth were taken out. $1744 was the amount owed from which dental insurance wouldnt cover. Which I paid in full to Northern Oral. **** would be turned into ********** Blue shield of Mn for impacted teeth. 1/24/23- get medical insurance statement, saying that Northern Oral wasnt in network anymore as of 7/1/22. Wasnt told by Northern Oral that ********** Blue Shield of Mn was no longer being excepted. At any appointments. Because of this I will not get reimbursed for the $1744. On their website it states that ********** Blue Shield of Mn is still in network. They havent taken it down as of 1/24/23 at 8:30 am. After talking to Northern Oral,at 9:15 am 1/24/23, it has conveniently been taken down as of 10:00 am 1/24/23. Due to their lack of responsibility to inform me that they were no longer in network for ********** Blue Shield of Mn, after I had already called 6/22, I am out $1744 which I would of been reimbursed if I would of gone to an in network provider, which I thought they were.

consumer is complaining that she checked insurance for in network coverage in June ************************************ network

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

This business was in network as of June 2022, they decided as of July 2022, in the middle of the year, that they were no longer going to be a ********** Blue Shield of Mn in network. Again, the date of service, I handed them my insurance card. Knowing that they didnt except it, and did not tell me. They took it anyways. Therefore if I was told they didnt except my insurance anymore I would of went somewhere else and been reimbursed for the portion I paid for the wisdom teeth extractions. They have way to many excuses, first it was not covered because I had the procedure done in ********* and they dont **** ********** Blue Shield of Wi.( Which isnt even my insurance.) Second I was told by ********** Blue Shield of Mn that there is no difference in the place of business for having two locations. Its the same business. Third, its my fault that I didnt check insurance in network right before procedure. This is not ok or even right. Im asking for reimbursement of the money for the portion that I had to pay which was $1741. Im not excepting anything less.
