1 starI first dealt with Keelan who is a salesman. I liked a certain car which was a red 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sport 121,000 miles. I told him that this particular vehicle is the only one I'm interested in. He ask me what I wanted to put down for a down payment and I said $500 and I did a credit application. Well he calls me back in a couple of hours and told me I was approved and to bring in a paycheck stub, utility bill, and drivers license for Monday because I work midnights 7p-7a and they don't open until 10a so I had to wait about 3 hours on him since I live a hour away and my job is in same city as car lot. Anyways, got in there at 10a and give Keelan everything he needed and the last thing he said was do I have my $500 down. I said yes for that pretty Jeep and he said so you don't have your down payment??? I said yes I just told you I had it for the Jeep and he preceded to tell me that Jeep was $22,000.00 which it was $8,000 over bluebook looking it up and I was only approved for a little over $14,000.00 and was trying to stick me in something else but wasn't going to tell me until after I handed him the $500.00 I told him that from the beginning I only wanted the Jeep Wrangler but he wanted a sale and was going to do whatever it took to put me in something else I didn't want. I talk to Chris his general manager about it and told him what happened and he told me to never ever come back to his lot. Wasn't a bit nice or understanding. I highly recommend not to go near that place because it's not about customers over there, it's about pawning off cars you don't want with a unbelievable high payment. They are very rude and unprofessional.Review fromJaala W

1 starIf there was a way to leave 0 stars I would because that’s giving them too much recognition anyway… but this company has got to be THE WORST dealership not only just in wv but as a whole. They sell u 10+ year old cars that already have issues just waiting on you to see if you’ll figure it out or pay a bunch to get it fixed. These ppl play like they care that you’re having issues with the vehicle THEY sold u but really don’t. The mechanics don’t know *** they’re doing clearly bc I went in thinking I needed new breaks for them to tell me nothing was wrong and went to leave my Bluetooth was ****** up as if they did something to it. The ONLY reason I went here to get a car was bc I sold the one I owned and I regret it bc it was a good car I just wanted something 4wd and they were the only ppl that took ppl without co signers. Word of advice if jd is ur last resort PLEASE DONT DO IT. You will be paying the price in the long run and I really wish someone would have warned me about them. They are not there to help you or better your situation it’s a scam.Review fromAshley C

1 starThe service department is the worse I’ve ever had to experience. They said my car would be done in two weeks, and it’s still sitting in the parking lot a month later. And you would think as a dealership they would be willing to give you a rental, as they had a rental program when I purchased the vehicle but they state they no longer will allow that. They also do not answer phone calls when I call and ask for updates, nor call back when left voicemails. I have personally been there 3 times to get information. They confirmed the motor was there two weeks ago, but have yet to pull my car into the shop for the job. And of course I’m expected to pay my payment biweekly, which is done because I have to look out for my credit. But overall, so not use this business. They are by far the most uncaring, unprofessional business I have ever delt with.Review fromDamien H

1 starOn 06/24/2024 I went to Byrider. I had a previous car thru them was in an accident at no fault to me. The insurance left a remainder of 3k. Not having many options I used them again, but they told me not to worry, as long as I came back they would eat/roll over the loan on the previous car. I agreed called and asked multiple times this would be the deal. I gave them over 3000 to get a newer and better car since they were rolling my old loan over. I could of used the money to pay off the old loan, but took the word of the salesman that I didn't need to do this. That in their words I wouldn't need worry about it because I had come back to them for this car. I get new loan and vehicle. A Week later **** begins calling daily calls for 2 months about payments for old loan. I explain situation time and time again that it was rolled over even having the byrider location call ****. 2 months of calls and nothing was done. Next they hit my credit report with multiple delinquent account notices then proceed to tell me that Byrider doesn't pay off the old loan until so many payments are made on the new one. NOW despite never missing a payment I have had my credit score dropped over 70 points for the so called delinquent accounts. When confronted they have lied and back peddled telling me there was a miscommunication because even tho they agreed to pay the old loan they don't do so right away an until they do im obligated to pay on the old account that they agreed to pay off. Makes no sense because that would leave me paying 2 car payments which was the entire problem I had discussed with them in the 1st place. They lied to get me come there to purchase another vehicle.Review fromAshlie M

1 starI bought a 2012 Hyundai back in September 2023. I was told by the sales rep that “you’ll never find a better warranty than ours it covers everything down to the last bolt”. I didn’t have it 2 weeks before the check engine light came on and brakes went out. Paid out of pocket for towing to the service dept and had to pay an additional $50 for the passenger rear brake ONLY replacement and a censor. Was about 3 weeks after that the check engine light came on again, called the service center several times with no answer and no callback so I took it myself to a shop and they replaced the EXACT same censor that I was told was replaced. Around Christmas, the drivers side rear brake caliper crumbled off being so old causing my rotor and brake pad to fail. Had it towed home. Tried to contact service center again with no call backs so I paid to replace. Check engine light comes on again January 2024, had the diagnostics ran and it was fuel related, called the service center finally got an answer to be told it’s not covered under the warranty. $450 later I got that fixed. March 2024, the car starts not wanting to start. As if it was getting no power. Found out the starter was bad. Called service center, told AGAIN, not covered under warranty but bring it and they’d fix it cheap. I couldn’t afford a tow to their service center as I was 2 hours away so I had it taken to a local dealership and fixed it. Got in the car this morning, only to find it won’t start again and no clue why. Between the $500/month car payment and paying out over $3k in repairs and tows I just want out of this contract. The car is not safe for my family. As much as I love it I cannot afford to keep fixing it. Does the warranty actually cover ANYTHING??Review fromMichael76

1 starIf you need a car, and you're willing to pay out the nose, then JD Byrider is for you. Don't get me wrong, when you need a vehicle, you need a vehicle. However, CNAC that finances JD Byrider is a horrible, predatory company that could NOT care less about you. They don't care about your situation, they just care about your money. If you're late, they will threaten to take your vehicle after 10 days. No ifs, ands or buts. It doesn't matter if you have faithfully made your payments for years, and then some unforeseen problem arises and you can only make a partial payment, too bad. Your car is gone. They'll threaten to take it and they will. I've never seen such a horrible company in my life, that could not care less about their customers. So if you're having any financial problems, don't call them asking for an arrangement. They don't make any. You're tough ***** out of luck. If I were you, get a car through JD Byrider if you desperately need one, then get the loan financed elsewhere. Good luck.Review fromGary C

1 starThey are the most underhanded, deceitful, misleading used car dealership I've ever dealt with. From their sales people to their finance company, and their service department is even worse. I wouldn't recommend them to my worse enemy. So just be warned if you're looking to purchase a car my best advice to everyone is to pass them by.Review fromkarla b

1 stari got a pontiac g6 from them about 4 years ago was doing good on payments. 2 years in and i came short on money was 14 days behind and they said they would take the car back because they couldnt wait anymore even though i told them i was going to make a payment. This car was only worth 4 grand to kelly blue book and i was going to pay a total of 18000 for this stupid car. So now since i dont have the car im still forced to pay for it 3 years later and will be paying on it for the next probably 4 or 5 years because they wouldnt wait a little bit longer. And on top of that im not even getting the car in then end which is just down right wrong. Im also paying for the car i am driving currently so thank you jd and camc for not being patient with a customer who ran into a little financial hardship and is paying 300 a month for 2 cars and one isnt even in my pocession. I would never recommend this place to someone who desperately needed a car cause they will just over charge you just because they dont require you to have good credit.Review fromMattie T

1 starI had my car repossessed due to nonpayment. I paid what I owed, I collected the tags and possessions, I paid for insurance and emailed the declaration page to the agent. I’ve called 3 times in 2 weeks. I’m getting nothing but excuses. The agents on vacation, wait 2 more days, I’m waiting on an email… it’s ridiculous. And I still don’t have the car after complying with every demand. Truly heartbreaking.Review fromJessica T
