On july 06 2024 my volvo truck started loosing all the power & gave a check engine code near sutton, Wv. After further diagnostics on our own we realized its having some electrical issue. When we start the the truck it runs fine for 10-15 minutes but then looses power all the sudden. we further realized that it does gain power for 10-15 minutes when we shut down the truck and start it back after waiting about 15 minutes. On monday July 08 2024 my driver went to AKF enterprises for further diagnosis and explained him the problem in detail and thoroughly. We were told and convinced my AKF guys that we needed a new turbo. I Had the turbo installed , Invoice for 6497.62 was send which I paid right away. When we driver started driving he lost power again after 10-15 minutes. So the problem for which he came into shop was never fixed. So he went back to AKF and they further diagnosed the truck and said the he need a new manifold pressure sensor and they will put it for free. The fault code from which they made diagnosis was active from july 06 2024. so that was the problem from the beginning and i never needed the turbo but the put that part regard *****.

Truck was brought in for a low power issue. The driver had already worked on this issue himself to no avail. Using professional diagnostic tools and training it was determined that the VGT was faulty. We changed it out, test drove the truck and it ran fine no-fault codes present. The technicians also showed the driver the faulty turbo and VGT. The driver returned 30min later to the shop with a fault code for intake pressure sensor. We drove over 100 miles to get the sensor and changed it out for free as a good faith measure to ensure this driver could continue on his was. The driver then left to return one hour later to find he had a faulty water pump, we replaced this for them and haven't heard anything since seeing a review on google and this letter.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

    1) Truck was bought in for low power issue but it was specifically told that that was loosing power after starting and driving for 10 min. It was also told by driver that he is gaining back the power for about once he shut downs the truck and start driving it again.

    2) the Intake pressure sensor code was active since July 06 2024 which is 2 days before truck came to shop and when problem has been started. I have attached a picture taken by my driver of your laptop screen which proves the same.

    3) Thank you for replacing the sensor for free but that doesn't change the fact about the scam you guys did with me for 6500  usd. I am more thank happy to pay for sensor which my truck actually needed and happy to get refund for TURBO which you guys scammed me for

    4) Water pump is a totally different issue though its strange that water pump was working fine before coming to your shop but once you worked on turbo and made my guy sit in waiting room saying your insurance doesn't allow outside person in shop next thing i know is that i have bad water pump. But I am not contesting that. I have raised complaint regarding TURBO not WATER PUMP.
