- Advertising Review:
BBB requested that Mountain High Wellness, LLC modify or substantiate its online advertising to be in compliance with the BBB Code of Advertising.
On March 15 and March 23, 2023, BBB contacted the business in regards to two of their websites which feature claims about the health benefits of CBD Oil.
Section 34 of the BBB Code of Advertising addresses Claimed Results, where it states, "Claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy or results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective data."
BBB requested that the business review their advertising and provide substantiation based on recent, reliable, competent testing for each of the health claims made and to discontinue any advertising that is in violation of FDA and FTC mandates for this industry.
On March 27, 2023, the business responded by stating that the “benefits of CBD and THC products have been well documented” and they would not be providing any substantiation. The business did not provide substantiation nor did they revise portions of their marketing as requested.
