I purchased my car from this dealership in 2021. In March 2024 I cancelled my extended warranty with proof attached. The date of cancellation is March 25, 2024. A check was sent to the dealership value of $1,633.21 and was supposed to be credited to my loan provider. I was informed by Honda care the check was cashed in August, but I have not seen a cent. I have called repeatedly and went in person to ask for my refund and have been ignored. I have been paying interest on this money because the dealership has done nothing to provide me the refund I am owed. I contacted them countless times with no response. I need help to force the dealership to give me the money I am owed. I have lost 8 months of interest because this is not done.Business Response

I apologize for the delay in receiving your refund from your Honda Care cancellation and the lack of communication and hospitality you have experienced. This is not who we are or who we strive to be.
I did see your BBB complaint as well over the weekend and I did some research to see what happened. The Swickard Auto Group purchased the dealership after you had bought your vehicle back in 2021. The refund from your Honda Care cancellation would have gone to the former ownership. I reached out to them and they received the money from Honda back in April and they cut a check the next day for the amount. We researched, and it looks like Honda Financial Services never cashed the check.
We have cut a new check and are sending it via FedEx to Honda Financial Services. I have attached a copy of the check and the tracking number below so you can follow as well.
Once they receive the check, I’m not sure what their timeline is for applying the funds (each lender is different – but I would assume 1-2 weeks, hopefully sooner).
Let’s keep in touch to ensure they receive the check, the check is cashed, and the money is applied to your account.
If you have any questions or concerns, please, don’t hesitate to reach out to Paul or myself.
Thank you!

On December 16, 2018, I purchased a brand new Honda Civic from this dealership. According to your website, “Honda’s original battery that is installed in your new Honda vehicle is covered under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty for 3 years or 36,000 miles.” On June 12, 2021, I had my car battery replaced at your dealership, which was less than 3 years after the purchase, and my car had only 17,100 miles on it, as noted on the receipt I was provided for purchasing the battery. I am unclear as to why I was charged for this service. The new battery that was installed in 2021 came with a 100-month warranty. However, on March 13, 2024, the battery needed to be replaced again after only 32 months. Despite this, I was charged a total of $390.88 for both battery replacements, and it appears that the warranty was not applied. I would appreciate it if you could review this situation and advise why the warranty was not honored, and I would like to request a refund for these charges. Separately, I would also like all of my past services reviewed, as I believe there may have been unnecessary charges added during the servicing of my vehicle.Business Response

When purchasing this vehicle (sold as new) and an extended warranty for it as well as a low jack/upgraded alarm. Now my vehicle is having problems and is still under warranty while I am being charged when fixing these issues. Transmission began skipping and shaking took it in and paid over 350.00$ usd to fix. When transmission issues are covered under the warranty. More recently my car broke down on the road towed it home as it was after hours and the alarm went off and didn’t shut off until the battery was removed. Later took it to Honda simi valley and they charged me to diagnose my vehicle which is still under warranty. They again charged me to fix battery (understandable because tires, batteries, wipers and those type of parts aren’t covered) issue was not fixed and just 2 weeks later my vehicle did the same thing. Honda stated the battery going bad and the “fake” alarm/ low jack system that was installed by the Honda I am writing this review about and sold as a separate item caused this. They claimed removing this “fake” alarm and replacing the battery would fix the issue. Now I have the same were the alarm off uncontrollably and the dash board lights all flash. The car clicks uncontrollably when attempting to start it. I believe these Hondas are selling fake after market products and now damaged my vehicles electrical which has led to money lost and possible future problems.Business Response
