      I was recently visited by two salespeople asking about my rates. I had to tell her 4 times that my rates were locked in for 3 years - she did not believe me and wanted me to check. Well, with the rates going up nationwide, I had recently checked to make sure my supplier rates had not gone up. They did not. I am locked in until July ****. I took advantage of the lower rates in 2021 and signed up for a three-year contract. I was not trying to brush them off, but I knew what my rates were and she did not take my word, which I did not appreciate. And for future reference,  I will not use this company at all when I do shop around in 2024.

      What do I think I am beyond digusted with how this company robs people. I am a single father of 2 boys an been paying for hydro an gas amounting from $400 to nearly $700 how can you guys justify this, especially when people like myself lower income on disability can barely afford to feed ourselves an you literally are killing people with ur prices this needs to stop I don't make enough to pay my mortgage an food let alone this homeless making bills

      As I was setting up a new service for my house the agents on the phone were very helpful and explained a number of things that I needed to do with Fortis. I wasn't getting correct information from Fortis so the Direct agent walked me through the process and got me on a good plan for my needs. The price was good at the time and billing is always accurate and the website is easy to navigate.

      I rate this company 0 for customer services and professional service. A company that just directs energy don’t care about its clients or customers and should not be allowed to operate at a A+ rating on BBB. The only way a company with 1 star on google with over 200 reviews and 43 1 star reviews on BBB can achieve this is by paying for it.

      My bill ent from about $205.00 in January to $285.00 a couple of months later and then to $432.00 on my last bill this month. $309.00 for elctricity alone! They couldn't have robbed me for more if they had a gun and I only have a 800 square foot apartment and not growing weed.$197.00 for electricity in May, 2023 and $309.00 for electricity in June bill.Who ever heard of a company that can rip off a customer with a 156% increase in the price for electricity?

      I am leaving a review wherever I can to help people run from this company. Now EnerCare - same folks, same reputation. They will ***** you on any rental agreement you have with them especially if you want to get out of it before ********************************************************************************* today for a 7 year old one. There is no one in the world who would buy it and no insurer in the world that would insure it. So basically, they make out like bandits because essentially you will pay more than 3X the value of the **** system and be left holding the bag. I purchased a resale home two years ago and if I knew then what I know now I would have made the previous owner buy it out. THIS IS A HIGHLY UNETHICAL COMPANY!!! From their frontline staff to their back office - one feeds off the other. I have had nothing but underhanded dealing from them. Don't even try to get customer service...it doesn't exist. They will simply pass you from one colleague to another...its like a sport to them. And you will have wasted hours - which is what they get a kick out of. You do not want to deal with this company under any circumstances...if enough people did not then may be they would change their tune. DO NOT BUY OR RENT ANYTHING FROM THEM. You are crazy if you do.

      Poor customer service. Called today to settle on an electricity bill, the supervisor wouldnt transfer me to someone who could adjust the amount. The amount for electricity was ****, Im not paying what I was charged ***** kWh. No where on my bill does it state what Im being charged! ENMAX is *****. Ive already switched providers. Direct energy is refusing to settle.

      I had been a Direct Energy customer in ******** for many years. I wanted to disconnect the natural gas supply to my house as I wasnt using gas and I didnt want to keep paying monthly fees. I phoned Direct Energy to do this but I was shocked to later receive a new statement for natural gas costs long after the cancellation date. The new statement even showed that natural gas had been used which was impossible and which they did not explain even though I informed them about it. Direct Energy failed to notify me that I had not used the exact wording they wanted and although its service was stopped the gas was not disconnected. Then, Direct Energy service was quickly restarted without my permission and they billed me for gas I wasnt using or receiving.Rather than solving this issue, Direct Energy merely tried to justify itself. This experience shows me that it does not value its customers (even very long term ones) and it responds to complaints in a very defensive manner. This contrasts greatly with customer friendly companies who value their customers and seek to find a just solution to complaints.Eventually my gas was shut off on 11-January-2023 and an admission through a January-2023 Statement from Direct Energy that I had received no gas from October-17-2022 even though I had been charged for gas for October-2022 through December-2022. To add insult to injury, I was even charged a late payment penalty fee for not paying for the gas I didnt receive. I would also not be surprised if Direct Energy wants additional money for February.

      This company is completely unethical. I was on a locked in fixed rate and was completely unaware that this contract had an end date. When it was expiring they only sent an email to a gmail account that I rarely use. They made no attempt to let me know it was expiring even though I moved and set up my services at my new home only 2 month before my contract was ending. Nothing was said to me. Since I pay using a **** to pay my bills, and had been urged to go paperless, I had no idea what was going on until I received a bill for $888 this month. I was completely blindsided. When my contract ended they automatically put me on the most expensive variable plan they could with completely astronomical rates. Once I called, I just got passed from agent to agent and ultimately got nowhere. I was offered a fixed rate much high term than my original contract. They would not give me any rebate at all for the astronomical bills Ive been getting for the past three months. You can tell that this is happening to a lot of people as their agent all parrot the same lines. Direct energy is gouging innocent people and causing undue financial hardship fir *********. They are despicable. If I could leave a 0 star rating, I would

      They havent generated our bill last November for whatever reason. I called and asked them where my bill was, the agent told me not to worry it will be just a normal bill then found 2 months on my invoice. I called and spoke with supervisor named *** who promised to call me back but I didnt hear anything from her. I want them to honour what was told to me by their agent.
