    I have used Norm's Plumbing & Heating for many small jobs in the past with only a minor issue where one of their guys had to come back and fix caulking they had not done correctly. In 2020 I was building a carriage house on my property and my contractor called in Norm's to do the work required to put in sanitary sewer. *** was the senior plumber on the project for Norm's. The work was completed and only about a year later in July 2021 I was having issues with the sanitary piping that Norm's installed and waste was backing up all the way from the city main to the cleanout at my end of the line. It took an emergency call to Norm's which cost me over $***. *** ******* **** ** **** ****** ***** ******** **** ********* ** ** *** **** ** *** **** **** ** ******** ** ***** ***** *** ***** ****** The plumber said he was concerned that the sewer installation may be too shallow for the terrain or their was a sag in the pipe due to not properly packing the ground under the piping. Only 9 months later in April of 2022 their was a second issue and another $*** bill. Norm's final position is that they did not do the excavating so a packing issue is not their fault but before the work is started to lay the piping the site is inspected and Norm's***** did or should have know the soil was not packed properly and not started the work. ***** **** ** *** ***** ****** ***** **** *** ********** *** *** ******* ** ******** * ***** **** ** *** **** ****

    Hi Doug, Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. We are sorry to hear you are having problems with you plumbing. All of the plumbing work we did at your home was permitted and to code, and was inspected and passed by the city of Nanaimo plumbing inspector. Without further investigating, we cannot confirm the cause of the issues you are having. As our contract was not with you, we suggested that you start by reaching out to the contractor you hired to complete this project for you.
