On July 1st long weekend, my family and I were visiting Lovely Princeton B.C. when, Out of the blue, every warning and engine light came on in our 2017 Honda CRV. The car was running fine and it went into Limp Mode. We had the car towed to the nearest Honda Dealership, which was Penticton Honda. Later in the day they call me back to tell me that the Turbo has failed and that my warranty had just expired 2 months prior. The repair will cost me $5218.78. I paid Penticton Honda for the repair, and they stated that the car is running beautifully after the turbo repair, and it is ready for pick up. This repair comes with a 1-year parts and labor warranty. We picked up the car and 300km's later the same issue happened in *******. Kelowna Honda's diagnosis on the car was that the turbo failed and that there is metal in the oil and the engine will most likely need to be replaced. Kelowna Honda and myself, looked at the bill from Penticton Honda and nowhere does it say they even checked the oil, let alone drop the oil pan to check the engine for debris. Which is standard procedure with a turbo failure. All Penticton Honda did was change the turbo and send me on my way. Kelowna Honda said in writing that Penticton Honda DID NOT do there do diligence and should fix the car. Penticton Honda said that the engine repair is not covered under warrant, only the repair of the turbo again. A new motor will be $16,000. As of today, my car is still in ******* and should be towed to Penticton Honda in the upcoming days. We also have not been given a courtesy car, which is extremely frustrating. I'm not sure where to go from here. Penticton Honda seems like they are not going to do the right thing and fix my car. I took my car to a Honda dealer to fix, NOT backyard ***. Seems like I'm going to have a car, that I am still making payments on, that doesn't run, which I have paid a Company to fix or take responsibility for their mistake.
