    I never saw any good offers by subscribing to paid membership. I canceled my membership but it wasnt easy to cancel as it was to subscribe. Then they renewed my membership without getting my permission to do so. Will not recommend.

    We are sorry to learn you didnt find any value in becoming a member of the **** One of the greatest values is once you book a tour, there are options for hotel upgrades etc but I noted you havent booked anything with us yet. When you become a member it advised that it will auto renew every three months and the way to cancel the membership is by logging in to your account and clicking on the tab marked *** and then clicking cancel membership. We appreciate learning that you found it difficult to cancel the membership. We have notified our team responsible for the *** club to review the process to see if they can find a way to make it more user friendly. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Hopefully one day you will be able to join us on a tour.

    Unfortunately its not possible for us to log in to your private account to cancel the membership for you. If you log in to your account and click on the *** tab it will open and you will see a button to click to cancel your membership. Thank you

    I just returned from the Discover Morocco 11 day tour. Just like ****** * below, we had a terrible experience. The bus was full (35+) and had over three languages represented by the guests so the communication from the tour guide was terrible, inconsistent and confusing. The hotels were very low standards (AC was the least of my worries as they were dirty and the food was not good). The bus distances were posted on the itinerary (approximately 300-400kms daily) which would seem to be a half-day on the bus but instead we spent an average of 11 hours on the bus each day being picked up at 8am and dropped off to the next hotel at 7/8pm. There were many stops, but few of them were relevant/good and as ****** said, the restaurant stops were sub-par.
    Two things occurred that has prompted me to never use or recommend Indus again:
    1. The market tour of Fez was only a tour of the 6 "preferred" vendors (pottery, bakery, metal work, tannery, herbalist, and embroidery) with no time to stop at any stalls other than the ones where it was clear the tour guide was getting some sort of benefit from our purchases. While this is common, this one was EXCESSIVE and it felt like we were a commodity. It was better in Marakech as we broke away from the group.
    2. I complained to Indus after returning and received no apology and a series of defensive responses (much like what was offered below). I specifically asked for a refund for the Caidel tent desert excursion I purchased and was told by our guide was not booked nor possible to arrange. The Indus representative told me that their local tour company (Monarch) advised them that my husband and I attended this dinner. This was a blatant misunderstanding at best or an outright lie at worst. I have offered to collect some testimonies from other guests who knew that we did not attend this dinner and have received no response to date.
    This experience has completely soured my impression of Indus and of Morocco. Don't use this company!

    Indus is an unscrupulous company. They make it very difficult, if not impossible, to post an honest, but unfavorable, review on their website. On our recent trip to South Africa and Victoria Falls they left us stranded at the airport in Johannesburg. No one was there to pick us up and no one answered the emergency phone numbers they gave us in case of a problem. When I emailed them about this (from the airport), they simply gave us the exact same information over again as if that would magically make our driver appear or make someone answer the phone. Then, they told us the name of the wrong (and completely closed) hotel for the first night of our trip so, after finding a taxi, we were left standing in an empty parking lot, in an unsafe city, at 1:00 a.m. We also signed up for one of their optional tours, which did not go everywhere that was advertised (but they later offered us a $22 credit for the missed portion). Now they keep putting us off and they will not post our honest review, which, by the way, also highlighted the great guides we had for a couple of the locations, Based on the inaccuracies in their itinerary, leaving us stranded with little concern and no assistance, and their refusal to post our honest review, I cannot recommend using Indus.

We absolutely apologise that the local supplier did not answer your calls and you were directed to the incorrect start hotel. We have reviewed our final documentation processes with our local supplier to ensure that correct, up to date information is always provided and double checked. We have taken this as a teachable moment and reviewed our best practices for all our tours. We understand you would have liked your review posted however not all reviews are added to our website and the final determination of which ones are, is reviewed by a team responsible for the website. We do appreciate the time you spent providing us with your feedback and are sorry we wont get to have you travel with us again.

    Returned to Canada Oct/22 from a 3 week Indus Travels group tour of Spain, Portugal, and Morocco. Though overall the trip was interesting and most of the experience was positive, Indus Travels dropped the ball enough times that we'd not use them again. They contracted the Spain/Portugal part to Julia Tours and the Morocco portion to ***** *****, so Indus should be checking on those contractors for deficiencies. Not all the hotels were 4 and 5 star, with the Imperial Hotel in Casablanca and the Sofia Hotel in Fez both being substandard - showers running dry, non-existent internet, poor buffets. Macarena Hotel in Saville had painful breakfast and dinner buffets with huge lineups then run out of main entree food choices! Main tour guide for Spain/Portugal was a great young gal who was always most pleasant and helpful, but with more life experience she should have been able to tell us much more about the economy and industry of the areas we were driving through on the long treks to our next overnight destination. The tour concentrated too much on the ****** World Heritage sites, with some painful up-to-4-hour walking tours of palaces and cathedrals, when a 1-2 hour tour would have been ample! In Morocco, TWICE all 37 of us on the bus were walked in single file through 2 massive souk markets yet could not even stop to buy anything - or we'd be lost forever. Those were painful and useless experiences, other than to see how so many people eke out livings trying to sell anything under the sun! As for the bus experience, both contracted tour companies did not put in any seat rotations on the bus, which every reputable motorcoach tour company does. The same people got the front seats (or back seats!) for the whole tour, which was just WRONG! Pee breaks poorly scheduled! As well, the tour company Julia did nothing to get people to bond early, such as brief introductions of ourselves, or a list of names of those on our bus. To end on positive note, best bus drivers ever!!

    It's important for us to receive both positive and negative feedback in order to ensure we and our local operators are providing services correctly and where deficiencies may lie. Its important to note that none of the hotels were advertised as 5 star properties; that 4 star properties would be used for this trip. We are disappointed to learn that you were not please with the hotel choices and felt that some of them were subpar and that you did not enjoy the meal selections. The tour itinerary was operated as outlined but we can understand that not everyone will enjoy visiting so many ****** sites and its duly noted that you did not enjoy some of the longer walking tours. It can be difficult as many clients prefer walking tours over panoramic tours which don’t stop to see the sites in depth. Typically when we operate a private or custom tour, seat rotation is usually addressed by the tour coordinator if it’s a concern to the group. Its unfortunately that your group didn’t bond as this was a private tour operated in conjunction with a ****** Club. I am sure it was assumed that many if not all were somehow connected or familiar with each other. We are glad to learn that the bus drivers were the best ever. They will be very pleased to learn this. Thank you again for providing us with feedback
