      June 17th 2021 I was taken off work by my employer stating he needed more information on my 11 year old ankle injury that they used against me saying they need it to accommodate me and continued for 4 months trying to get me to get short term disability paperwork filled out by a doctor saying she has taken me off work, she said I'm fine and I got the all clear to go back but my employer still refused and kept pushing for me to get this paperwork filled out by a doctor saying the doctor had taken me off. Then one day my insurance provider Kevin M***** phones me and tells me that if I go get something filled out that he'll make it work, telling me I won't get denied benefits. I go get it filled out being as broke as I was I was desperate and I send it in and within 2 hrs I was denied, it's now been almost a year since and they haven't went over my appeal yet. 2 hrs to decline and 12 months to appeal. He set me up for the company and yet still trying to buy time a push my appeal. So Mow I've been off work for almost a year with no income or benefits, I'm still employed just nobody is paying me

      Thank you for your feedback to Pacific Blue Cross. While we do not respond to the detail of specific claims in a public forum, I can advise that Pacific Blue Cross does not advise any claimants of decisions prior to evaluating the forms and medical information, and our decisions are all made in writing.  There is a formal appeal process, which is described in all of our decision letters; it is my understanding that an appeal has been heard and a final decision has been reached.  We do apologize for the length of time it took to go through the appeal process.  Should further escalation be desired, please visit www.pac.bluecross.ca/complaints (refer to item #3 on the page to fill out the proper form). A formal Final Position Letter can provide more details regarding a claim.
