I am not very impressed with Flight Center as the whole reason for planning our trip to **** was to see ************ . Upon charging us for this special tour, we were later cancelled without any reason. To make matters worse, it has now been about 2 months since they have not reimbursed our money which is several thousands for this cancelled tour to ************. This has never happened to us before. But I would truly be wary of booking with them in the future. We still have not received our reimbursement.Flight Centre

We know that visiting ************ was the focal point of your trip, and we have followed up with the tour supplier to inquire about the reason it was canceled.The refund delay occurred because we had not yet received the funds from the supplier. While it is standard practice to wait for supplier reimbursements before issuing refunds, we recognized that this had taken too long. As a result, we made an exception and processed your refund directly to your credit card on Tuesday, December 17th. If it had negative review stars I would use those. They have owed me a refund of almost $2400 for over TWO YEARS. They will not respond to emails or phone calls. I just want the money owed to me. Use great caution using this company.Flight Centre

I booked at the physical branch at ***** and King,I paid the fare for family of 5 with 1 kid, but never gave me the detailed break even of the fare.The agent send me the details of our flight and payment info, but still no detailed break even of my fare.My kids who is 7 years old.I believe was charge as adult,I ask the agent when I was inside the branch after I paid the fare about why my kid shows adult on the print out, he said don't worry about it,he said he dont know why it shows as adult.I called their office many times to ask for detailed fare,even e-mailing the agent but one pick up the phone or replying on my e-mail. Agent will answer only when getting a appointment but once you paid the fare, it's a different situation now.The agent says if I will encounter a problem on my flight just give them a call.I haven't got my flight yet but no one is answering my call already.I can't imagine my actual flight no one will answer if my flight will get cancelled. I even ask the agent on what is the different on booking online versus booking in physical office.The agent says that booking online disadvantage is that on booking online If I have problem with the flight, I don't know who to call and booking on physical office has the advantage to know who I can call in the event I will get a problem with the flight.But look now, I need some answer to my questions and yet I cannot get anyone who will pick up the phone or replying on my e-mails.I just need info.on my connecting flight and detailed.break even on my fare which looks like they are hiding and not planning to reveal to the client.Bad experience.It's up to you to decide if you want to booked to this travel agent.For me, I'm not booking again to this company.Flight Centre

This is not the experience we wish for any of our valued customers and certainly not the level of service we pride ourselves on.We have reviewed your flight reservation and can confirm that for your itinerary, the airline does not provide any sort of child or teenage discounts, so all passengers are priced equally as adults regardless of their age. It is not uncommon for airlines to not offer child fares to all destinations. These fare types are becoming fewer and farther between. So while all passengers show as adults, this is for pricing purposes only. Please be assured the details within the reservation do reflect each passengers date of birth, so the airline will be aware of everyones actual age. We also regret to hear that you have been having difficulty in reaching your agent to confirm this information. Your consultant is currently on a one-week leave however his email out-of-office is on. We can also assure you that you do have access to our Emergency Assist team which supports our customers globally 24/7 from anywhere in the world. Please DO NOT book your ticket by this scammer. My trip was canceled and I got email about some credit for 2 years. After some time when I try to book ticket with my credit they said I don't have any credit. They just told me straight that we don't give you money even though I have their confirmation email about credit. They really ripped off people.Flight Centre

If I had read these reviews I would never have booked with Flight Centre. Their voice box would be full when I tried to contact them.I got different answers from different people. When I cancelled they sent me an email. I requested a hard copy. It took months to get it and several phone calls. When I finally received it it didnt have the name of the agent or the office phone number. I was told I had to use the credit for the original route. Then I was told by a different worker that I could use it wherever air Canada flew. On and on. The agent used double speak.I asked him if what would happen if the flight I originally booked and paid for in the future was cheaper?He said you would get the cheaper flight. I asked if I would get the difference in a credit. He said I would have to forfeit it. I said meaning that I would lose the credit and the flight would be the full amount I had originally paid. He wouldnt straight out say I would lose the difference. I kept saying forfeit. I said meaning I wouldnt get that money. He would not say say thats correct!It was very annoying. I am a patient person but I felt this person was trying to undermine my memory and intelligence. He kept saying Im not your agent. He wasnt the original person I dealt with. He tried to deny that I had spoken to him. I had written down the date,his name,phone number and details of our conversation.An exercise in frustration..A waste of time and energy. Its like a Call Centre. You are not a valued customer.I will use a ********************** agent from now on. If I have to pay more its worth it.Flight Centre

Hello *** Thank you for making us aware of the concerns you have regarding your recent booking experience with Flight Centre.We note that you initially booked on our website and then chose to cancel your booking shortly thereafter and have concerns about the disclosure of the terms and conditions of your booking and cancellation.Flight Centres online booking process is very robust and transparent and meets all of ****s requirements as well as legal, regulatory and merchant requirements set by the retail and travel industries in ******* and Canada. The terms and conditions of both Flight Centre and the supplier of the travel product being booked, in your case ******* ********, were very clearly noted. For your particular package, we have reviewed the booking workflow that you completed during your booking process and can see that you agreed to the terms and conditions of the package you were booking, which noted the cancellation fees from both Flight Centre and ******* ********. We regret if these were not fully reviewed at the time of booking.Upon cancellation, we note that you spoke with one of our agents who provided two cancellation options, one which would require payment of cancellation fees from both Flight Centre and ******* ********, and one which would only require payment of Transats penalty, which was $500. We confirm you opted for option 2 and proceeded to cancel your booking on your own, but while still on the phone with our agent. Upon listening to this call, we can confirm our agent asked if you were aware of the supplier penalty that would still be incurred and you advised you were aware. We are aware you have also been in touch with our web support team regarding this situation.Upon review of your file, we have confirmed that you did in fact receive a booking confirmation via email with your booking number, on the date that you booked, as confirmed by a screenshot you provided. We understand a few weeks later you attempted to call Flight Centre about your booking, but the party you spoke with was unable to retrieve your booking using your booking confirmation number. Our web support team did a thorough review of all calls received over a 30 day period and there was no call from the phone number listed on your booking. We further understand that you declined to provide a screenshot of the call history from your phone. This was requested to try and determine what number you may have called. We also confirmed with our Emergency Assist team they did not receive a call from your number, and our Customer Experience team also did not hear from you by phone or email.We understand when the party you called was unable to retrieve your booking, you proceeded to book the same trip on a different website, despite having a confirmed booking with Flight Centre. Flight centre is a physical scammer place. Do not go for flight centre if you get away from different agency or by yourself. They hide information just to keep their commission. They agreed that flight centre never can give good news except bad I have recorded one of the employee or manager said it. Corona time I booked tickets and trip through them, but they did not tell me that I can claim for my flight tickets refund. They keep saying that I still can use that same ticket but after Covid price change route change. And they couldnt even tell me first time which flight they booked for me. Now its so expensive and they asked me to pay more if I book the same route. So ridiculous people so pathetic service. If you can not keep your promises so please help your ***** to use their money proper way that we can come back and trust you. I lost my $1200 and they couldnt help me out even I fought with them 3 years. I gave up and started to book my trip by myself. If you need help from someone to book your trip go to your known people and pay them they will Atleast guide you right direction. Less spend and more trust to near your people but never ever flight centre. I wish I could check reviews first before I spend money with them.Flight Centre

This is definitely not what we expect for any of our valued customers and regret that you did not reach out to our Customer Experience team directly, and sooner, as we very likely could have ensured a more positive experience for you.The terms and conditions attached to travel credits are those of the travel supplier, so for example, the airline or the vacation package provider. As the agency only, Flight Centre is bound by these same terms and conditions - we do not have the authority to waive or modify them.We also do not set the prices of many of the products we sell. These too are set by the supplier.Following COVID, travel demand in Canada surged which of course put an upward pressure on pricing. In addition, recent inflation has added to this pressure, and travel prices are definitely higher than they were just a couple of years ago.Please keep in mind, travel credits are not for an exact replacement of the trip you had booked. They are for a dollar value that can be applied to a new trip, whether that be the exact same trip, or a completely different trip. Since prices have gone up, the value of most travel credits does not cover the new higher prices, and as such credit holders must often contribute additional funds to their new travel booking, even if its the exact same itinerary.We understand this is challenging but trust you can appreciate that as the agency we do not have control over these aspects of this specific situation.We do appreciate your concerns and frustration but hope you can also appreciate our limited ability to assist with these concerns.If you would like to reach out to us directly for further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us at ********************************************************************************** you.Review fromDorothy B

Will never use them again. I had to book through an agent as I had a gift card. The online price was $1517 one day but the next day $2021. My travel agent said that she could not access the online prices. It was mandatory to purchase the captains package as I used an agent. When I said at least I get the price drop guarantee I was informed it did not apply to me. The agent I was working with was equally frustrated with the policies of Flight Center. I was held hostage because of my gift card, otherwise I would have gone somewhere else. Never againFlight Centre

While we understand this will not change your experience, it will improve our customers options in the near future.With respect to the price change of your booking, Flight Centre is the agency only and as such we do not set the prices of most of the products we sell. Pricing is almost entirely managed by our travel partner suppliers, such as airlines, cruiselines, sun package providers, etc. Flight Centre acts as the agent to bring the customer and supplier together to create a confirmed travel booking, with the pricing and all terms and conditions determined by the supplier itself. Travel pricing is very fluid and can be quite volatile depending on what is being booked and is largely dependent on supply and demand. Resort packages and flights are the most likely to experience a sudden change in pricing as there are limited room categories and airline seats for any given option, and as availability decreases the price will go up, or sell out altogether.Finally, regarding our Captains Packages, they are highly encouraged for the benefits they provide, but they are in fact not mandatory. We regret this was not made more clear to you at the time of booking.
