Subject: Formal Complaint – Request for Refund Dear RightRide Headquarters, I am filing a formal complaint regarding my recent vehicle purchase. The process was rushed, I was denied a warranty, and the vehicle had issues from the start, including a bent rim and engine problems along with flashing orange engine light. Despite being told my monthly payments would decrease after six months, they did not, and my concerns were ignored and was told to deal with it myself. Rightrides' conduct has been extremely unprofessional. ** ***** **** *** **** ******* ** ****** ***** **** ******** ********* ******* ***** ******** ********. Before purchasing the vehicle, I was treated with great attention, but once the sale was finalized, that changed completely, **** **** ** *********** *** **** ******** **** **** *** **** **** ********** ***** ******** **** ********* ****************** **** I have a medical condition that requires frequent travel, that they had “full understanding of”, yet I was knowingly sold an unreliable car. Due to RightRide’s lack of support, I traded the vehicle and blocked payments, yet funds are still being withdrawn. I request a full refund of unauthorized charges and a formal resolution and I no longer wish to engage with Rightride and in hope to highlight the unprofessional practices and lack of accountability within lesser known used dealerships like RightRide. I hope this matter is resolved by improving how customers are treated and resolving there issues professionally. Please respond within [7-14] days before I escalate further. ********** ********* *** ********* **********Business Response

I may have fill out a form online with Rightride website last August 16 but decided not to complete my details as I felt uncomfortable about giving my information based from my previous experience in 2022. Still, someone from RightRide called me last August 17, 2024 inquiring about my interest for looking to buy an SUV and I said yes as I have already started to talk to some other dealerships. They asked me some questions about my personal information and we agreed that I could come to their place to check for some vehicles. I was scheduled to meet with them last August 19 but unfortunately I got busy so I cancelled. On next day, August 20, they called me again to check if I can be free on that day but I said no as we were going outside of the city. After our phone call, I went online to check on my credit report and I found out that they ran a Credit Check without my CONSENT last August 17. I called them afterwards and asked to speak to the manager but he was not available so he returned my call and apologized then convinced me to dropby that day so they can resolve the issue. I was very ****** but still polite so I checked on their inventory and again I didn't find any vehicle that interest me. My concern is that the company just ran a credit check on me without my CONSENT and it will affect my Credit Score that I am trying to rebuild for the last 2 years. I am trying to be very careful now with credit inquiries. In the last 2 weeks, I have visited 2 dealerships already and they explained everything to me face to face but they didn't do any credit check unless we proceed in my intent to buy a car that I need. I called ********** and they said they cannot remove the credit inquiry from Rightride and that is very frustrating for me. ** **** ***** ******** ** *** *** **** **** ****** *** ***** **** ***** ****** *** **** **** *** **** ****** I hope you can resolve this issue ** ** ***** ** ********* ** ******* **********Business Response

I called and spoke to the customer, addressed their concerns. There seems to be a miscommunication between the Finance Manager and the customer because the credit application was mentioned. Regardless we have contacted the customer and are in the process of helping him find his next vehicle.

I am rejecting this response because: The credit inquiry is still on my record and I am not sure if they are already doing something about it. Based on my experience in dealing with them, it takes too long for them to address an issue unless you file a complaint to an external body. They need to provide a timeline and complete first what we agreed before we close this issue.
Sincerely,

I purchased a vehicle from Rightride and the vehicle was delivered with a scratch on the vehicle. I let them know before i signed and I was hesitant to sign the documents until they fixed the problem but i was told that wasn't an option as they already bought out my loan, and needed to sign the paperwork right then. This happened on Jan 12, 2024 at approximately 3:30 pm. I was assured it will be handled and be fixed according to Colton ******** the dealer I signed with, he made his manager aware of the damage and he confirmed on a call I had with him on Feb 20, 2024 . I have tried texting and calling with no success to get my vehicle fixed. Please help.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I was told I would be contacted by a salesperson before drop off, and I was also told they do not provide loaner vehicles which isn't acceptable as my job requires me to have transportation and was waiting for the salesperson to contact me to let them know as they are aware of this when I first made them aware of the damage.

I was looking to finance a vehicle. Got talked into looking at a different vehicle to accommodate my payment amount request. Once the estimated numbers were discussed, I agreed ONLY if I can see/test drive. Was told the vehicle was at their other dealership in another city. Was given a bunch of paperwork and told the signatures were to allow for credit check. All of which was done on May6/23. I specifically asked I'm not signing a bill of sale, or finalizing anything since this vehicle is still "sight unseen" and would need to look at first. Was told by sales person that it was only signing to show interest in vehicle. I believe he actually said a "purchase proposal" form he needed signed to send off to the other dealership, in order to get authorization to transfer the vehicle from Saskatoon to Winnipeg location. I was then told the vehicle would be driven to Winnipeg and arrive sometime Monday. That Monday he changed the arrival date to Thursday the 11th. I then called on Thursday the 11th. The salesman had that day off, so I spoke to the sales manager about the runaround. The manager told me that he was paying out the loan on my current vehicle "1st thing in the morning"(Fri the 12th). I never heard from anybody there until Wednesday the 17th. Said he was in a meeting, yet never returned my call. The next day(the 18th) he was off work, but his text message tells me the vehicle still never arrived and hoped it would arrive the next day.(Friday the 19th). That's when I texted him, saying I would be showing up on Fr the 19th to see what's happening. When I arrive, he tells me the vehicle went to the shop for safety, but also told me the person who drove the car said it was shaking really bad on 1 side of the car the entire trip from Saskatoon, and the shop will need yet another day. He said he had no idea if it arrived that day, or the day before. Now I ask for my paperwork and another bought at another dealership. Now being harassed *** ***********Business Response

Hey Jeffrey,
I feel you are extremely confused on the process here. You came to RightRide WPG for help and we did exactly that. We bent over backwards for you getting you more money for your trade we discounted a vehicle over $**** and brought it into Winnipeg free of charge. Yes there was a delay as shops are extremely busy and we need to complete out of province inspections prior to delivering a car. We now brought in a vehicle and paid for shipping, safeties and are now stuck with a vehicle we would have never bought if it was not something you insisted on us getting for you. You have been unresponsive and we were just looking to schedule a delivery for a vehicle you purchased. I am sorry you take setting deliveries and asking what happened as ******* *** harassments. I hope you enjoy your new vehicle, sir.

I am rejecting this response because: I lost all confidence in the vehicle before even seeing it, and the fact I have been lied to by salesman, as well as sales manager. When I call for info/update on the vehicle location and condition, no return call from sales. In person I was told, "I don't know"Furthermore, the vehicle was already in your inventory, so I'm not exactly sure about your claim that your "stuck with a vehicle on your lot for $**k". As far as the shipping the vehicle cost from you one location to another; this would have needed to be done in order to see/test drive the vehicle your salesman insisted would be the right vehicle, and should be considered a cost of doing business.
If you claim that you were discounting the vehicle $****, and it cost $**** to deliver the vehicle, then selling without such a large discount shouldn't be a problem for sales.
When the vehicle apparently showed up in Winnipeg 2 weeks later, I was told your salesman the vehicle was "shaking really bad ever since the driver left your dealership in Saskatoon". Yet driver continued to Winnipeg which is VERY alarming. When I came in person to talk to salesman, he didn't know what was wrong with the vehicle, he didn't know when the vehicle arrived in Winnipeg. He had NO answers. Now knowing I was no longer interested in the vehicle, I asked if they were paying out my "trade-in" loan, and he said "yes, you will not have anymore payments on the "trade-in"." *** *** **** *** ** ** ***** * **** ***** ********* ** **** **********. As my original statement states, I was told signing was NOT a final sale, only giving them authorization to do credit app and give authorization for Saskatoon location to bring vehicle to Winnipeg location.
I knew at this pointe I lost ALL confidence in the vehicle and the practices your staff conduct, before even seeing the vehicle.
Since there was NO deposit, money or collateral I never promised to purchase the vehicle in question. I NEVER took possession of the vehicle, *** ********** ** ******* ** *** ***.Furthermore, there was NO Transfer of Ownership Document(TOD) given, or taken.

We purchased a used 2015 Chevy Equinox from Rightride Auto in Winnipeg on November.7th. The day we picked it up the check engine light was on. I messaged the sales guy. He said take it to any chevy dealership and they will cover the cost of reading the code. I took it to our local dealership and they didn't want to do it for fear of not getting paid. I again mssgd the salesman he said to take it to ******* ******** in Winnipeg as they did the safety work to it. I finally got in Dec.7th. After 3 weeks of having the vehicle a warning came up "low oil pressure stop engine" there was zero oil on the dipstick and we added 5 litres of oil. I again mssgd sales guy and he said get it in to get checked. In the month of having it we've put on 2500km and have added 8 litres of oil. Spent $*** to drive to Winnipeg to ******* ******** (we're 4hrs away) on Dec.7th. They checked why the engine light is on. Said it's a recall on the motor for excessive oil consumption. Told me to take it to a local dealership and they can check if it qualifys. Dec.8th I took it to our local Chevy dealership and was told it doesn't qualify for the recall. It's over the time and milage. I mssg the salesman. No responce. We have called the rightride manager to get some answers. He doesn't call back after he says he'll look into it. 3 weeks ago a warning came on "service stabili trak" mssgd again. No responce. 2 weeks ago the vehicle stalled while driving it. Took 3 tries to get it started again so turned around. it stalled 4 more times before getting home. It had been parked since then as it can't be trusted to drive. We are getting no responce to calls or mssgs. We just want out of our $** ******** dollar loan. They could take it back and give us a different one or simply take it back and clear our loan so we can buy another one. I'm not sure why No one will answer our calls and messages. We just want some answers and a working vehicle.Business Response

Financed a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox from RightRide Auto Canada Winnipeg branch November 5, met in Brandon November 7 at 6pm to take possession of the Equinox. Right away I noticed the check engine light was on, delivery driver said it was on when she picked up the Equinox and knew nothing about it and we would have to deal with Roman(salesman at Rightride) about it. Roman was informed of the engine light the morning of November 8 and his solution at that time was to take it to our nearest GM dealer and get it checked out and fixed at the cost of Rightride. ****** has a GM dealer in town so my girlfriend went to get it looked at that day and was told it would be 10-14 days before they would be able to get it in. November 21 my girlfriend was driving the Equinox and all of a sudden the dash lit up like a christmas tree and low oil pressure warning come on. Girlfriend stopped the Equinox, shut it off and popped the hood and pulled the dipstick to check the oil. There was no oil on the dipstick. I left work and went to Equinox and there really was no oil on dipstick. checked for leaks and found none, put 5 litres of oil in to bring it to full. Contacted Roman who conferred with his boss who decided it needed to be brought to ******* ******** in Winnipeg where they had the safety done prior to me acquiring it. Finally got it to ******* ******** December 7 and they gave my girlfriend a work order with codes for an expired recall because of the oil consumption of the engine. Estimated value to repair oil consumption issue is $******** which I was unaware of and would not have purchased knowing the cost of repair to correct the issue. RightRide has since been avoiding me about correcting this issue by either fixing it at their cost or taking the equinox back.Business Response
